It's fine, I never try to dodge Mu or Noel players. I actually try to play them more so that I eventually learn not to get bodied by the Mu and Noel army.

It's just not an enjoyable experience 80% of the time.

Oh? the way you said it makes it sound like you hate Noel/Mu as a character, but you just have a hard time against those two?

How so? Maybe I'm missing something......

Well there's the drive-canceling on whiff, which allows you to be careless when throwing out moves, but that was always there. There's the 50-50 mixup during her face-roll that is getting buffed and that she can end it in complete safety or more mixup. You can rapid a whiffed super if one of the bullets is blocked. She gets 4k and corner off of what is essentially a reversal on counter hit, and then there's 2D

Though I'm sure all of us (myself included) have done this at least a couple of times, it's pretty annoying to see players complaining about things that aren't actual issues and have nothing to do with netplay.

An example would be you punishing someone for the same bad habit over and over. You go out of your way to point out the fact that they should avoid doing this one thing that you're wrecking them for, and they continue to do so all the while questioning what is going wrong (yelling and profanity are a possibility).

If you don't want to listen to advice, go ahead. It's perfectly fine for you to not take input or feedback from someone when you don't want to. Just...please stop complaining when the answer you seek is literally right in front of your eyes :vbang:

I have a friend like that i try to give advice on fighting Platinums and he kept complaining about kitty hammer so i told him how to and then "No character should be based off RNG" came from him *Sighs* maybe i should use Nu-13

Hm, maybe I'm playing bad Noels?  I usually just bait  :dbt:  mash and punish.......

Inferno Divider! (whiff) FATAL! 5.5k......neutral tech.....Inferno Divider! (whiff) FATAL!......

The magical teleporting properties of air grabs in this game. Give me back my ground throws and nerf the vertical distance on air throws dammit xP

I agree with that one if only because being suddenly warped from above the character to right to them looks so dumb.

I had the exact opposite thing happen to me a while back. I would do Kagura's 28C every chance I got, and they would almost never think to block it or dodge it. The few times they did, they had no idea how to punish it. (One of them eventually figured out that throwing was possible, then immediately forgot about it.)

I even went out of my way to tell them I would do this on wake-up every time, yet they still got hit by it.

I hated how easy it is to pickup off of standard backslashes, but actually im kinda glad I learned otherwise because now I do a better job of handling pressure. Still, its abnoxious

It's pretty sad when you think about it.  Then they believe you're trolling when in fact one of the basic rules of FGs is "if you they don't adapt, keep doing it"

If you are punishing D mash, yes, you are playing bad Noels.

More Pet Peeve's

-Noel

-Joining a full player lobby room being at the bottom of the list, takes about 10-25mins for it to finally reach my turn to play......Gets kicked by the host for maining Amane....Amane is my least played character at the moment due to the fact that i'm still learning him, so i have not picked this character at all lately.

...now for one, i could be wrong maybe he kicked me because i set myself as a beginner(the little icon on your avi)...Or that i have Amane as my Avi...both of these makes no sense because you had ALL the time in the world to skim the player list after each match for both of thoes things that i'm assuming that you detest so much. And my avi stood out more than everyone else's in the room (because of the Beginner icon, but there was also another beginner in the room as well..but he/she was on Auto-Pass the whole time..and Amane's majestic purple hair how could you possibly miss it?)...Also....Did you even check my D-Card? because last time i checked the average player isn't fast enough to check and skim a players D-Card in under 2 seconds (because that's how fast he kicked me when my turn came up)

That made me upset for a while after that because i sat there for 10+mins just to get kicked for reasons unknown to me, and if it was because of any of the reasons above then i would have to say that it was an d-_- move, you really thought it was cool to troll someone just because you had a problem with their character?

Its happening more and more now its almost impossible to find nice rooms in the player match lobby lately that don't discriminate.

I have also witnessed this same thing not only to Amane but also Azerel, most of the ones i saw get kicked were decent players who imo didn't dissever it (i've seen the trend, in one room, each time someone picked Az they would mysteriously 'leave' the room after a match with the room leader weather they won or lost, every other player....continued on)

-Noel

-Some Terumi players, and those who abuse lag i swear i don't know if this is becoming a trend, this one match-up i had against a Terumi mashed through the opening sequence, which was laggy as hell by the way..why would you do this?!! why would you put yourself and your opponent through this??!!! there is nothing to gain by skipping the opening sequence!

as a result we both looked like we were mashing because it was lagging soo bad, the Terumi was the faster masher and after a while its like the guy got fed up and switched to spamming, for Two rounds all your heard was 'Slice......and.....................Dice!' or the now famous mash/combo-drop "Slice-Dice! and i just sat there jumping around like an idiot couldn't  block to save my life, admiring the well done background (snow town i forgot the name) laughing at the little penguins playing around throwing snow balls at each other that they seemingly got out of thin air ,while staring at my health bar praying it would deplete faster. And don't get me started on the opening sequence mashing Azerel's i've been running into.

Did i forget to mention that i now don't like Noel's?

Also i don't quite understand why Kokonoe's,and Amane's are getting soo much hate for the past few days i have been active online i have yet to run into one Amane or Kokonoe, they are soo scarce that i'm wondering if all the hate, and room kicks they have been getting has drove them away, and if they are soo rare now why is this hate soo strong that when one does show up once in a blue moon they immediately get bashed for it? i'm working on sub/maining thoes two but now i'm not so sure if they should be a full time option online,

And people who hate when others pick the same character over and over, just because you have the best memory retention for learning multiple characters at once dosent mean it works the same for other people, i have been criticized for picking Kokonoe repeatedly (win or lose)....thats because she is the only character i'm remotely decent at, meaning i only know about 3 short combos with her so shes still a work in progress, i pick up on combos rather slowly so i'm happy that i've gotten this far with her, i'm in the process of learning others but that will take alot of time since i'm not good at learning too many things at once with 10 different characters and i'm not going to pick someone i have NO experience with just to make you happy, because if i'm not happy to then why the hell am i even playing this game? i'm not here to make you happy, i'm here to have fun. so go ahead scorn me for picking a character that you hate/that i keep picking it won't change anything (other than your getting a VIP onto my block list). i've had people go from 'take it easy and have fun' to 'i'm going to now completely wreck your shit(with my hidden main)' because of the above reasons.

- NooOOeeelzzz (i pass my turn if it comes to me vs the 35hit-DMash--can't-tec-or-counter- combo string Noel player now ..)

Nothing against you dude, but fuck kokonoe lol. Also, to hell with those who kick people because the characters they play. Make a damn private lobby if it bothers you so much

It annoys me to no end when someone calls/texts me asking if I want to hang out, or messages me asking if I want to play with them, making me stop what I'm doing so I can be ready to leave/join them, then says nothing to me for the next couple hours. Don't bother me if you're just going to interrupt me for no reason.

This is more local, but a friend of mine refuses to look at the command list for whatever reason. Views it as cheating I suppose. The other friends I have on the other hand think DDs and Astrals are the only thing on the list you need to know. Very rarely will someone go into Challenge mode to learn things they should know.

I can kind of understand this...just a little bit. In older fighting games like Street Fighter 2 there were no command lists at all. Special moves were hidden secrets that you had to figure out (at least to me and my friends they were).

It felt kind of good fighting my friends with a "secret" technique that I figured out my character could do, and now that every game comes with a command list that sense of mystery is gone. Special moves aren't really....well...special anymore.

The best was when you'd be mashing against a friend and one of you would accidentally do the input of a new special move. Then you'd both start freaking out like, "OMG dude what was that!? How did you do that???" Then you'd both spend the next few minutes trying to figure out how the hell you did that attack.

Haha reminds me when I played bloody roar and learned about qcf for the first time it was like a revelation... now I gotta deal with this hcb forward nonesense haha

Heh, I guess no matter which character you main, you'll take flak for it.

  • If you pick a high tier character, people complain about how bad you are at the game and how cheap your character is and tell you that you couldn't win without your OP character.
  • If you pick a low tier character, people complain about how bad you are at the game and that you just want to be a special snowflake™ and couldn't win even with a high tier character, so you just want to blame your incompetence on your character.
  • If you pick an average or easy character, people complain about how bad you are at the game and that you're just playing that character because everyone else is and they hate fighting the armies of your character all the time.
  • If you pick a character someone or their main is bad against, they complain about how bad you are at the game and how the only reason you can win is because your character is cheap or has an unfair advantage against their character.
