vXv RUSH vXv Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Ok so im kinda in a pickle. I want to get this game as soon as possible without making my wallet explode. So theres a few options.. 1: Buy the import physical copy for $67. Wait a week or two for the delivery. 2: Buy JP PSN points for around $95 and hope that its day 1 digital release.. Can anyone confirm that its day 1 digital? If so, can you maybe purchase it via paypal or a japanese paypal? Ordering PSN points seems sketchy since i dont know if ill even be able to use them. And also, whats the fastest possible shipping from japan? 2 days? Thanks for your help! ^-^
SolxBaiken Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Honestly, due to the markup of PSN cards, I wouldn't bother wasting the money on the digital version unless you're that impatient. You're already going to spend a heft amount, why not have something more to show for it? But it will release day 1 digital and will even include Terumi for free if you get it before Nov.7, I can't say if any places will still have 1st print copies for free Terumi on the physical [probably not, unless you go like eBay or something] and shipping is totally dependent on where you order from, AmiAmi has EMS which can take 3~5 days, I heard Play Asia's fastest shipping with FedEx can be there in 2. The question you need to ask is: how bad do I want this game!?
Konflyk Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 The markup isn't that bad, Nippon-yasan sells 10000JPY cards for about 10500 so 500 yen markup+exchange rate, I was impatient and decided to go digital instead of paying 1200jpy for shipping to have to wait till next week to get the game as it wouldn't arrive soon enough for me.
Solless Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) I believe it sort of pays out in the long run. You pay X amount of yen for the game, then add on a good 1200 and you're already at around 69-7100 anyway, then the DLC you want comes in and in the end, what was around 69-7100 yen for the game turns out to be closer to like 81-9000+, depending on what/how much you want. Cheaper to buy the large PSN cards at that point. Edit: If you've waited this long to decide it might be in your favor to go ahead with the digital version. As SolxBaiken said the Terumi preorder bonus is now pretty much gone for physical orders. And if you wait for your physical copy to get to you you might miss out on his free-ness (that's assuming the offer applies to those that couldn't get the physical terumi preorder bonus) Edited October 22, 2013 by Solless
vXv RUSH vXv Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 well i think im relieved. my friend is in Venezuela and he buys us games. he uses his friends american address on his paypal so he doesnt have to go through sketchy cards and such. So if i use my american paypal/credit card on a japanese account with a japanese shipping address, i can purchase it for retail price day 1. Correct?
Solless Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 No. You need to buy a JPN PSN card. They'll send you your code for your points probably by tomorrow, and then you can use them to buy from the JPN store. Unless somehow a Venezuela card works in japan (though I kinda doubt it)

Either way just an additional 800yen for Kokonoe at this point in time OP might as well go digital. Edited October 22, 2013 by Konflyk
vXv RUSH vXv Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 You didnt understand what i meant. The Venezuelan guy is excluded. I have a japanese psn account. He said i can buy the game digitally by using an american credit card on an american paypal as long as my japanese psn has a japanese address.
Konflyk Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 You're American, you cannot use an american card on PSN, you have to do it like this. Your Bank acct > Paypal > Vendor of your choice for PSN cards > receive email code for pre-paid card > load on your account. As soon as you enter a US card it'll get rejected on PSN. In a similar case to your friend from South America using a US card to buy things from the US store, you would need a Japanese friend willing to do the same for you and let you use their Japanese card.
vXv RUSH vXv Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 So basically, im back to my first 2 options..? pay 98 for day 1. or pay 67 for a long delivery? Has anyone ordered games from JP and know about how long it takes to get here?
breedcancer Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Don't forget about the Hong Kong PSN store it also gets the game on the 24th for 412 HKD, from play asia you can get 600 HKD for $90 so that seems like the cheapest option at only being a little over $60 for the game then DLC money
BangisMyHomeboy Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 This is unrelated but with the game feature an option for English menus?

Has anyone ordered games from JP and know about how long it takes to get here? Game releases on Thursday, EMS says it'll take 4-7 days to arrive, no shipping occurs on a Sunday, account for the side of the US you live on, East coast add an extra day or two and expect to get the game by like Tues-Thurs next week, otherwise go digital. Also Amiami is sold out at this point as that's what is listed on their site, if I end up with a physical copy in addition to my digital I don't mind selling it to someone.
blackhybrid Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I usually receive my shipments from AmiAmi on average, in like 3 days, just be sure you're there to sign for it or you have to wait another day to pick it up from the post office, which I'll likely have to do because of my schedule.

Guess that means I might see mines on Sat if I'm lucky much like yourself and thankfully I'm free that day, Monday is another story however...

Has anyone ordered games from JP and know about how long it takes to get here? I ordered Sengoku Basara Utage from Play-Asia and it was delivered to me in less than a week with the 2nd cheapest shipping option. I was pleasantly surprised, it's all up to you now.
Surf Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Neither has mine. It changed to Preparing Order on Friday and has been like that since. Getting worried now.
ban1son Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Neither has mine. It changed to Preparing Order on Friday and has been like that since. Getting worried now. Mine says the same, hopefully get an email later 2day or early 2moro to say its been shipped......

Tokkan Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 All menus come standard in english. Not BBCP's menus. Only the tab headers are in English, the actual menu selections are in Japanese.
