I'm very interested on importing the limited edition (if I can), but before I want to know if I can play the story mode AND understand it.

It's more likely to happen from sometime after 10 AM to sometime in the afternoon Japanese time. Boodendorf may have just been refering to the existence of the digital version, not its current availability. Edit: To answer the below, the in-battle voice acting needs to have English and Japanese so that the eventual English language edition and the Japanese one will be compatible for online play.
