beanwich Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=288119148020699 BBCP will be released in Europe and Australasia next week... on PSN. So no physical copies, sorry. That sucks, I wonder why no physical copies. My European and Australian brethren, time to import. Is there any reason as to why there won't be physical copies? They never give an excuse reason as to why.
Tokkan Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Replying here because the News Thread isn't the place for it. That sucks, I wonder why no physical copies. My European and Australian brethren, time to import. Is there any reason as to why there won't be physical copies? They never give an excuse reason as to why. Likely reason for no physical is because ASW are publishing it themselves and they don't have the facilities to produce a physical release in EU (they have to rely on Aksys in NA). I'm just glad it's not Zen United/PQube this time.

ASW west efforts are a disaster anyway.
Verimeloni Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'm guessing no physical copies 'cause every BB fan already imported the JP or US version. Either way for those who really want a physical copy, it probably is just as cheap to import the NA copy as it would have been to buy a physical EU copy. When it comes to store prices the $/€ conversion rate is BS.
Luminos564 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 On the plus side, at least EU didn't have to wait 9 months like the last ASW title. Granted it is digital only and those who do want a physical copy have no other choice but to import, but at least the timing is getting better. Maybe for BB4 we'll actually get a nearly simultaneous worldwide console release (though I doubt it).
SoWL Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 And thus, the world has been saved from witnessing yet another one of those hideous covers.
Vordoxen Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 -_-I got LE on every single other game. If the Game Finale isn't released in physical form on any LE, I'll just skip this game. Played the game for years, winning and losing Casual tournaments, trying to fight people online when able, and then this happens. on the very last game in the series(So far). Physical or nothing.

Vordoxen Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 PAL PAL PAL PAL NTSC. would be weird and illogical to have PALs then suddenly a NTSC. =/
greatfernman Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 do you care more about the packaging than the game? i mean i understand wanted the LE version, but skipping the game entirely just because you can't get LE?? you may find it weird to get NTSC and break the pattern but it is most definitely not illogical. are you OCD or something. these just feel like such minor details that you're caring way too much about.

Starlight777 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Well delete this, I'm going to go face palm now. Looking forward to CP1.1
D.R.F. Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Just got done watching tetsuwos kokonoe, man, the future looks scary;'(
TagerTime Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 A new mori interview that needs translating http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/837/837338/

Nah, it's not OCD. I'm a game collector as well. Love for Game = Collect it for the future(And a game library) Not to mention, I cannot support the game if it's not released in physical form, cause if I buy digital it'll probably lead to never physical again. About the interview Above: I wanna know more of the EVO and the Stage event....

About the interview Above: I wanna know more of the EVO and the Stage event.... I don't know about that reasoning. If you buy the game, not only are you supporting the release of the game in that region but if there's enough sales that might lead to Arcsys/Aksys (Not quite sure how much aksys do) considering physical copies since you've shown there's enough of an audience. Maybe that won't happen, maybe they might just stick to digital, but then again not purchasing it just means that there might not be enough sales to justify localisation, at least in any sort of timely fashion. Honestly, letting something like not having a physical release stop you from playing a game you presumably want is just insane to me. EDIT: Wait, you're not buying the NA one because it's NTSC? What the actual fuck?!
Dark Ranger88 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Does anyone have any secret defensive techniques or option selects? (Other than the obvious: neutral tech > 1+A+B+C to block and tech throws) I say this because I played a Tager who said he was option selecting my mixup/pressure. I assume he was doing something like 123698741+A whenever there is a low in my blockstring (pressing 1 blocks the low, but if I did an overhead or a throw, the extra time it takes for those actions to come out gives him enough time to 360A me out of them). For jump mixup I assume he was doing 4123698741+A (which would work in mostly the same way). Does anyone know enough to fill me in on this? Again I may be wrong about the exact technique he was using, but I NEVER caught him trying to do a yomi 360/720. So I think he was doing some sort of safe option select. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've only come up with one defensive option select, and it's against Tager's Gadget Finger: After you get Gadget Fingered press 191 really quickly (with an optional A+B+C thrown in). If Tager tried to command grab you, you will super jump away. If he tried to do the standard 5A > 5B > stuff, you will block the 5A and have your input back at 1 in time to block 5/2B. It doesn't work against everything though: GF > 5B, Collider, AirDriver, and airthrow will still get you. Is there any universal stuff like this that I may be missing out on? Assume that I have no clue about even the most obvious stuff that has been around since CT/Guilty.
Errol Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 it's possible to do stuff like that, but it's basically OS'ing on how large gaps are. if he does a 360 at a timing where it'll beat an overhead, it will always lose if you did something that hit just a bit earlier. Delayed gatlings can catch that. You must not have been varying your timing any. always canceling immediately into 5b, immediately into 2b, immediately into over head, etc. Of course if you delay your gatlings to catch that then you can also just be straight up 360'd if they churned.
Myoro Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 This may sound like a weird question, but how do you fight someone more experienced than yourself? Or someone with better reactions or game knowledge for that matter. I keep finding myself in tournaments and other situations with people who are far superior to me in all of these regards, and outside of improving myself, which I do put serious time and effort into, I don't quite know what I can do.
zankoku Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 In casual play, taking note of your mistakes and habits, and asking questions, is pretty much the best approach to improving toward future play. If you're in a tournament match, and you very honestly feel you cannot outplay them over the course of a set, take risks. Turning the game's risk-reward lopsided will at least afford you a chance of winning through fewer successful attempts required, though at the cost of having fewer chances.
Zedar90 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv176844439 - Arc Live broadcast for BBCP Vita release. Due to some trouble, the old link for Arc Live doesn't work. Here is the new one: http://live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv177018532 starts in 2 hours.
Tokkan Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Due to technical difficulties... they had to restart the stream. http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv177042713
Arizato Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 So I just found out that even though Chrono Phantasma was released in Europe on PSN it wasn't released in Sweden (Where I live) along with a few other countries. Any suggestions, Dustloop?
Rishtopher Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Maybe you can make a new PSN account and digitally import it? It's what I did to get my JP import before the NA copy was available.
