Nemesis Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 GGs Nem. Definitely some of the most intense matches I've had in a while, reminded me of why this game is fun lol. Finding ways around the Stein setups and then watching out for Origins or whatever else you had planned for my rushdown was a pretty interesting experience. Hope I didn't bore you though, I got wrecked for most of that set lol. Also I finally landed that 5D FC combo I've been trying to do online for a while, so I felt proud. Ill be frank with you - I didnt go in expecting much from you - and in the first few games I struggled to keep interested - mind that just the first few games. You did surprise me with your relentless attempts to learn and adapt to my methods with eventually really got me energized and allowed me to experiment with quite a variety of approaches/stylistic changes Ive not been able to practice since Ive been back. No it wasnt boring - you can USUALLY quantify my boredom vs a player by how long I am willing to maintain a set. We played 24 games so I'd say its a safe assumption that your fine - and you winning the second match is a sure fire way to keep me interested. Really though, me winning most of the games isnt an indicator of whether or not ill get bored, what keeps me engaged with a player is their adaptability and skill application to force me to the upper levels of my own abilities - the longer that can be maintained the longer I'll fight. Take the games I've had with mac or swd or "insert your fanboy dream fighter here" - There have been sets were Ive dominated and/or been blasted into dust - either way Im usually pushed to the point were I have to make every choice the right way nearly everytime or I just plain die - and thats how you get your blood hot, win or lose We had a fairly stable connection, so no horrible intermittent latency, and we could both play the way we wanted. It was entertaining to see how you would react to my various styles, I was really pleased to see that you did your best to circumvent the setups/traps so I had to keep it interesting. Its true that the majority of the games went to me but If i can make a small point of criticism : there were plenty of matches that were down to the wire for both of us (for w/e reason) It really seemed like you choked - almost especially when you should have won (aka had me in a combo/pressure/ w/e) - so do your best to maintain focus to the very end! I may try to netplay this later tonight if anyone wants to go against my Tager again. And I thought playing monster girl quest was a pretty strong indicator of my masochism... Get 360'd I guess...

Kind of annoying how much space Relius can cover with Ignis active.

To beat netplay Kokonoe, you must think in netplay. Become one with netplay. Channel netplay's ancient dark powers. I didn't see perfect connections until I was already a top netplayer, and by then it was infuriating. The netplay betrays you because it belongs to me.

mAceOfHearts Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 GGs antonymichiru, solid Amane as always. Getting better with Valk, though wolf cancels and wolf movement in general still feels pretty clumsy. Won't even attempt the wolf brake stuff til much later on.
