BoltofShadow Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Herodyne you're terrifying me with how good you are with so many characters. I forget who your main even is.
XVII Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I actually consider myself above-average all things considered.
Dawn of Musou Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Jesus, Nem. That was scary to read. Herodyne you're terrifying me with how good you are with so many characters. I forget who your main even is. He mains Agito.
Nemesis Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Jesus, Nem. That was scary to read. you have no idea what our games were like back in CSE - and thats not even all of it Theres several players I credit for helping me improve in vastly different areas And then theres the many many many.... fights I had with mac that probably was the greatest boon to my improvement in CSE - I really cant number the ways GGs Kubel and Nemesis. Kubel, where were you when I needed backup against Nemesis? GGs - you proved interestingly patient... it made me wana just rush down sometimes! also those random laggy games made me yell
mAc Chaos Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Aaaand saved.I like the throw reject analysis. It's like a terminator. I can remember each part of the matches that led to those conclusions too. Also lol @ "die and start thinking about next round"

Yet makes me never want to fight Mac.

Also lol @ "die and start thinking about next round" Alot of my data on players is written (and especially vs you in my pages of notes) in the Mu-12 mindstate that I strive to manage when I play her Its easiest to harness that "roleplay" when winning is more difficult
BoltofShadow Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 For some reason I can agree with the roleplay idea. I do better as Terumi when I just wanna stomp the shit out of everything.
Mucky Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 dem notes I bet mine say something like "burps at round start and doesn't say excuse me"
BoltofShadow Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 ggs Herodyne, those were fun subs matches, but goddamn I need to calm the hell down. I wrote down everything I did wrong so hopefully I can work on that fighting others. *still up for more games from others btw*
Rhiya Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 That writeup reads like an analysis from a shonen manga. "Mac Chaos: Adaptation power level is OVER 9000"
Dawn of Musou Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 For some reason I can agree with the roleplay idea. I do better as Terumi when I just wanna stomp the shit out of everything. Can't say it works for me although I can say I work better as Jin when I fight Noel. Probably because I hate her as much as he does. The hate still loses to 4D though.

Monarch Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 GGs - you proved interestingly patient... it made me wana just rush down sometimes! also those random laggy games made me yell I think rushing Mu down isn't the best idea, considering there will eventually become time where she'll come to me. (Since, y'know, lasers don't chip) Although I'm still studying the matchup, so I got some much needed experience.

(Since, y'know, lasers don't chip) Although I'm still studying the matchup, so I got some much needed experience. Actually... about that... I only come to you as a courtesy... as I know how horrifying and frustrating games can be when I perma lock players down and I wanted to probe you/ test things/ have a good time.... if you watch - most of the time I heavily apply steins - its cause im in the life lead (or at least I should be ) all in all though I am working on a new infinitely revolving stein setup also wtf is psn blowing up today or what?

Courtesy? You're truly too kind. No, but seriously, I'd rather sit and wait it out with the chance that you might slip up then throw myself in the middle of a stein storm. I've never tried taking an aggressive approach, so perhaps I'll consider that route as well.
Dawn of Musou Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Ironically I use Terumi against Noel XD. We should Mirrors again later. Sure, I'll probably be on in an hour or two. I've been playing P4A more though since I finally finished P3FES so I'll be a little out of it.
mAc Chaos Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 If you let Mu set up her laser fortress you're just letting her chip and time you out.
Ventus Tatshima Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm scared to ask but... what are your notes on me Nem? @Azure sorry about i got sent to the shadow realm. .lol
susano Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Mac Chaos : Serene Mind~Intense Mind aware Avoid this player unless you can manage both energized states fully These fights require very high mental fortitude, snap judgement, Origins reaction, and demand the highest multifaceted approaches possible Beware landing 3c's and be ready to clash war with them - he usually only double taps so 5c cancel the second clash Heavy stein cover fire rush ins are extremely dangerous and will likely result in being counter-grabbed unavoidably - recommend a feinting dash in with pseudo stein cover At all costs avoid the corner of the screen, even at midscreen continue to opt for cross unders and dash overs - drop combos in order to do this Oki is not recommended he will catch meaties and possibly late firing steins and totsuka rendering it useless - opt for throws and 5c follow up After throw reject : This is happening more often and he is adapting to the 5c response with 5d - use level 2 sword of decimation to counter his adaptation After throw reject : He's adapting the the lvl 2 SoD with a delayed 5d - Fully charge SoD to respond After throw reject : He watches for SoD now - rush in 3c After throw reject : Aggressive options no longer viable - IABD in corner : tech immediately but be aware of invisible throws, the best option is to try to IB a few attacks and jump air dash out - if unable to, die and start thinking about next round The longer the fight goes on the higher his chances are of recognizing your patterns Traits High Damage Danger Moderate blocking ability is compensated with very high Drive proficiency Understands Stein firing rates and placement Immune to established oki Throw resistant Overhead resistant Psychological Dmg resistant Primary Stylistic win requirements Heavy Stein usage in neutral not recommended High mobility required Eschew blocking in favor of evasion Dont mash ever Refrain from autopilot "anything" Cycle through tech and style abnormally Small damaging attacks and AntiAir combos Primary Trait : Cascading adaptations This player may not seem dangerous at first, or even in the first 20 or so games but he will adapt to your gameplay and punish you for anything you do repeatably - usually with great success. Unlike the majority of player encounters he remembers tech and play style extremely effectively. That's Mac in a nutshell. I don't even know what happened when I fought him. I squeezed a few wins and then it all went to hell. . o .
BoltofShadow Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I fought Mac once. First few games were close but he won. Astrals on both sides (i got like one he got more than I can count), then a landslide happened and I think I got perfected a few times. If you let Mu set up her laser fortress you're just letting her chip and time you out. This is why I use Terumi against Mu now, he can get in quickly and stay in, sure Jin can get a little break to get a 632146C in every now and then, but it's a big risk, I can just massenga or Jarin pretty safely with Terumi. Also i'd ask for any notes but lets not clog up the thread like that.
