ElegantShadow Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 So, any CP 1.1 videos with Nu footage in them floating around as of yet? I'm inching to see her Astral and the new range on Dia's Crescent Saber in action.
someonewhodied Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 it looks like dia and luna crescents swapped ranges.
ElegantShadow Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 it looks like dia and luna crescents swapped ranges. WHAT?!!! That seems strange, especially since that seems to do more harm than good for Dia Forma, as far as I can see. I'm not even sure if that's helpful to Luna Forma either. Edit: I just watched This and am I the only one who thinks that Act Parser Zwei: Blade and Phase Rift became a bit faster? I don't know, it might just be my eyes. On another note, holy crap, that range on our Astral! And we can finally combo into it!
Dazardz Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Daaaaa! Zoning with this character gives me trauma! It's soo hard! No matter how many times I play, no matter how many times I watch Gentarou and Yoshiki! I wanna learn this character so bad but I find it easier to zone with even Amane!
minlexx Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Edit: I just watched This and am I the only one who thinks that Act Parser Zwei: Blade and Phase Rift became a bit faster? I don't know, it might just be my eyes. At least Blade seems to be incredibly fast for me
someonewhodied Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 the video is sped up, you can tell by the music.
kenja0 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I can't access the video for some reason. I've tried on multiple computers with the redirector. Is there anything special I need to do?

Nothing special, maybe it was some lag :/ Re-uploaded on YT (to save this) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxV5uSpp0pQ , try
Daramue Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 it looks like dia and luna crescents swapped ranges. Truly interested in this; I'm guessing there was a video where you witnessed this change? If so, do you remember which video it was?
someonewhodied Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The match vids that were posted in the video thread.
Daramue Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The match vids that were posted in the video thread. Found it. 9214 for TK now though? That's going to be rough.
ElegantShadow Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The match vids that were posted in the video thread. The NicoNico ones? I admit, I couldn't really tell the difference. Dia's Crescent Saber looks completely unchanged without a range increase nor decrease. The same seems to apply to Luna's as well. Though, I could be looking at the wrong video(s).
someonewhodied Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 from what i've seen luna crescent is whiffing more and it moves you back so TK combos you will have to either microdash the followup or do 9214D (I prefer 9214 but microdash works too) Dia crescent has increased range. Maybe I'm crazy but somethings hit that currently can't, and whiffs on things that do currently work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zY5TTgcMjE dia crescent is definitely hitting further, didn't see luna crescent there though. Edit: I tried some stuff out (in CP1.0, not 1.1) we get a crossunder combo meterless for [luna]4B while we are in the corner 4B>2DD>214D~22A>66>Crossunder 6A>delay5C>236D~22A>5DD>236C>5C>6C>236D>214D~22A>214D~C(Oki)
minlexx Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23208129 all mighty Supra rage, or what is this video about? how does he block 2D mixup? :-|
Daramue Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23208129 all mighty Supra rage, or what is this video about? how does he block 2D mixup? :-| You've got me. I'm curious to know how 1:05 happened, given that Ragna's 6D should have stuffed Supra. Maybe supra is an anti-air option but I've certainly never used it like that before; with no invincibility you'd need to be extremely careful with your timing. Unless this is demonstrating changes in 1.1? I could only speculate.
Butterduck11 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Is there a trick to executing Supra Rage? I can input a DP motion perfectly in every other game but in this one it only works 10% of the time. Also I keep seeing JPN Arcade players doing throw > 6DD > 22A > 6DD combo's but it never works when I do it. No matter how fast I input it the combo still drops. Any advice? Thanks.

There is. Do 6232 rather than 6236. Keep in mind this will get a lot easier once 1.1 comes around in May as the patch is changing the way 623 motions are input.

That HAS to be new. So, what else could we possibly beat with this now, and how much more useful does this apparent buff make Supra Rage?
toanenadiz Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 How is that new? You can do the same thing right now. Dia supra has always been an AA.
minlexx Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Of course Supra is anti-air, but.. Still don't really understand this tricky input of Supra to block 2D (low) mixup :/
kenja0 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 So what you're telling me is Ragna's pressure has 0 chance against Nu. Also, for the people who want to know how to follow that up, you can CH 623C>22A>5DD>4DD>236D>etc. If 236D drops, they are now in wheel pressure. Someonewhodied should have something optimal to add to that, I just go for 214A/B/C, 214D, or 236C near corner.
someonewhodied Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 off of 623C FC in dia mode, here are my options: (note that its a counter, and off of an anti-air) Nu in corner: [Dia]623C(FC)~22A>66~5DD>4DD>214D~22A>66(crossunder)>6A>delay 5C>236D~22A>5DD>236C~22A>safejump oki or sickle oki (3030 damage) Midscreen: [Dia]623C(FC)~22A>665DD>4DD>214D>662DD>4B>2DD>2147D>66DD>2DD>6C>236A>Sickle Oki Near Corner: [Dia]623(FC)~22A>662DD>6C>236C~22A>236D~22A>6B>2C>2147D>6A>6C>236D~214D~22A>214D~C Opponent in corner: This won't ever happen, never bothered making a combo for it.
ElegantShadow Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 How is that new? You can do the same thing right now. Dia supra has always been an AA. I've just never seen Supra Rage do that before, which is why I was so shocked. On another note, I just got CP (Woooooo!) and I'm having a bit of trouble with Nu: Supra Rage's input seems nigh impossible for me to do. I mean, I do the basic DP movement, but she keeps using Act Parser: Cavalier instead. Where do I start with learning her combos and was the best way of getting used to Phase Rift? Are there any... habits with Lambda that don't transfer over to using Nu? Like, is there anything that I should just completely wipe from my mind? Nu feels MUCH different than I had once thought she would... I love it!
