How do I get one? How come no player comes up in my color edit? What do I do to make them show up? Whats a trip key? what is a router and how do I know if I have one?

Did you turn on Shortcuts via Options? Trip Key... I'd leave it blank if possible. As for a router, it's what allows 2 or more computers to connect to each other or share the internet connection. Type 192.168.1.1 and Enter on your browser's URL bar. If some sort of Username:______ Password:_______ screen pops up, you've a router. If not, no. Here is what a router also looks like in physical form. Should you have one, it should be located either in your garage, or an easily accessible room somewhere in the middle of your household. kac123ige Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 yeah same here, i asked him but he said his client crashed, then he came back in and it was like that. it must be a sql database error, or whatever storage system they use. but at first i thought he was packet editing or found a way to modify the # of wins adress and keep it serversided, but i figured it out now, the reason people get the " ? " ranks is simply because the function in the server code for ggxxnet is possibly only coded to support rank S and below, so when you get more wins that a rank S class is supposed to have it dont know what to display, or he has a switch case with a default function to display the " ? " if the # of wins arent equal to any of the other cases, just simple stuff. but i have hacked this game, no i dont use them in game, thats for dumb asses lol, besides you get de-synced anyway lol. but thats pretty much it.

trippies Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Can't seem to connect, i go to vs netplay and it brings up my char information and nothing else happens from there, the only thing i can manage while i'm in there is the status/win loss and exit. Also when i try the router page even with ggxx loaded it still tells me closed. Any words on this? I'm sure people have asked before but i read through a couple pages and can't find out how to fix this...i'm on wireless

kac123ige Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 WTF his ranking system code needs work... unles he bases it off of who you fight... such as "kill leeching" as i like to call it off of noobs i say that if the rank is 2 times below your own you should gain no rank from it or atleast a very low one. i think its based off of some type of system like, you have a certain # kinda like a rpg system, this much exp till the next rank if you loose you loose the exp along with the wins and possibly the rank if you loose to much exp. that is very possible. and the sstem could be affected by othere lememets such as other players ranks that you fight agains that may influence how much exp you may gain and such. just shit like that. i highly doubt its a bug, unles you werent fighing a low ranked person :O

I know if I face SAITEN, win or lose, I will rank up. Not trying to be mean, but I kind of try to avoid fighting him because of the rank up glitch.

kac123ige Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 if you face me youll lose or win right or wrong? oh yeah i fought saiten before not to bad if he kept practicing a bit more. but same thing here, i love to play chip cause hes fun to me lol. to be 100% honest, i dont carea bout winning mostly thats about 30- 50% of waht i carea bout the other % is having some damned fun lol why games where created and shit so basicly i play chipp cause hes FUn to mE!!! oh yeah E_iZ_Seri0us is right, i fight at a C-B lvl yet im rank S... strange. i ranked up even when i lost. now im not syaing the old one was better either because the old one sucked also it made everyone who could get 15 wins in a row + look like noobs... he just needs to fine tune it with more functions for ranking up that really make sense and all fit together accordingly.
Exigent Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Well I have 84 games and maybe out of that 30 of those are wins and i'm still rank D. And out of those 30 wins it's those were from my buddies who is new to the game and I wanted him to get used to it.
