If they are just changing the level of 5p it's still not a more reliable move to anti air with over 6p. Hard to execute a combo when u got ch for doing 5p. I understand the hype of aa 5p>f.s. Now watch f.s not combo into heat cuz of range. You guys are forgetting why 5p got the buff in +r. It was really to stop jumpers after 2s vacuum. All he got in this loketest change was a added level not a expanded hit box. 5p is still trash.

Also with the new yrc to Trish is ok cuz u kinda cut the screen off.

Anybody feeling the effects of 2hs vertical horizontal hitbox being nerfed from previous games. trish would be good here if it wasn't so slow or the hit box extended a lil higher.

I know they're more test to come but I'm highly disappointed. He has glaring issues and they were ignored.

Like bruh sthap, hammerfall was fine. They basically put some rims on a car with no motor. I ain't even mad, just baffled.

5P has 5F startup, 6P has 11F, different uses for different situations. f.S Heat works from quite far away, you can test it in the console version. It'll miss at max range but it's still a very good improvement. PB 5P f.S Heat range is extremely long on some characters. We're talking about going from "Have to be within pixels of being perfectly deep in the corner" to "More than a Potemkin character length away" in terms of where you can land combos for free now. That's huge.

Trisula YRC should be good, but for stuff like Oki it's gonna be pretty situational I think, the horizontal range is reaaaaally short, most knockdowns don't leave you in place to use it. I think it will potentially be a good anti-jump, anti-air, air spacial control tool in general now, that gives you ICPM knockdowns on hit or mixup on block.

Hammerfall was iffy when it would connect in some situations, it's just a minor fix that should help make a few combos more reliable.

This is a minor patch, not a new revision of the game. Everyone so far is just getting small tweaks. Top tiers mostly got nerfs (some significant), Potemkin got nothing but buffs, some of which may end up being significant. That's good news. Potemkin is hardly a car with no motor.

ALSO, as usual, there are ton of unlisted changes and many things will not stick into the final release, so it's definitely not worth getting disappointed about anything until we see everything that we get in the end.

I really don't see any of these buffs as game changes in anyway. 

I would've liked to see Trishua be better over all if they want us to use it...like a suck in ability when used so you could combo into it, and YRC out of it in say the corner for some heat extend combos.

Really though what Pot needs is a scarier Oki game, and an increased walk speed. Oki game wise it'd be nice if you could threaten people with a 2P or 5K, and go into a back breaker command throw, or a better window to just do a whiff normal on their wake up into back breaker. Currently opponents have more than enough time to avoid these tick throw set ups, or they just completely whiff. :/

I don't know much else he actually needs. If he had those he'd move up a tier easily.

Sad, we have nerf guys. Pot was too hight in tier list. Now will be all ok...

Wut. I've read that he might be worse in the new version but I can't really understand how. Must be some of those unlisted changes I can't read.

Yup, look like that u didnt read some news:

Heavenly - not fully invuln frames, only hight part(body?).

6HS - more antek, less roll on counter and less stun
Heat and extend - less tenshion
Giganter - 12->24 wat?
 
I think, that its not all, but wellcome in nerf!

Something about less tension gain on Heat knuckle and heat extend, less untechable time and less dizzy on 6h CH, but again, gotta wait for proper translation, take it easy and keep rocking the big guy.

I wasn't impressed with the changes, but I will wait til all is said in done. I just don't like trishula at all. It just feels like a new move that I never wanted. Maybe trish yrc will end up being good, but I would trade it for 5p to hit crouchers in a heart beat. I was expecting anything big from this though. I sort of wish I could get something off of hitting people with j.p in the air, other than like j.p>j.k>j.p>j.p. I will admit because of AC Pot it is hard for me to get too excited about buffs to Pot outside stuff he probably won't be getting back.

This 6K loop is hard to hit... 2S > 6K is OK, but repetitions of 6K, OMG. I think i'm not charging back quick enough. FAB does it with lag, the bastard xD

 

5P buff seems nice. Although I think it's still a bit shitty for not hitting crouching enemies. But we shouldn't expect to have AC Pot in Xrd I guess =P

Damn, who woulda thought pot would be getting nerfed. I'll wait and see before I start crying foul, but definitely didn't see that coming. Especially considering the seemingly irrelevant buffs he's getting.

Yes dude, have no idea pot have nerfs, but leo and some another char. have really buffs. Cant find logic... Low tier pot now more lower, then low. Ludicrous tier now.

But remember, that it is lock test. Maybe in final version this changes will not come.

Nerfs to Pot? Really? You have to be a character loyalist to make any splashes with him...

I hope it's not final, because I could see myself jumping over to someone else. If he had ZERO changes I'd keep playing. Keep the buffs and keep the nerfs, and I'll keep rocking him as is please.

5P lvl 1? Whoopdie do. We could do 5P AA into heat knuckle at lvl 0 before, and there's no reason to high block Pot so 5P shenanigans are moot. 

 

 

 

These really feel like "lol i unno, let's do this" buffs.

 

They know everyone wants 2S vacuum. I understand giving things like Heat Knuckle oki, 2S vacuum, slidehead comboability, 5P on crouching would make him too strong altogether, but atleast give us 1.

Also gives him back an old oki OS which was extremely good, really hurts Zato a lot. It's a decent little buff for improving his ability to convert certain things to better damage.

Nerfs are wacky but it's Arcsys Loketest, they always do this, every single time, throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and half of it doesn't stick.

Mmm, yeah 5P c.S HK works but 5S would be nice true. I guess I just felt all things considered the buffs were underwhelming, was hoping for more, but I'll take what we get.

 

 

Thinking back on it now I'm pretty sure I did read the other Potemkin changes, but I was probably not sober at the time, then I tried to re-read them and only got half a list, my bad.

I do, I was just a bit busy yesterday. We only have the Konsome tweets, right? I'll translate the ones that are not in the notes.

6HS - untech time increased; rolling knockdown time on counter-hit decreased, but now untechable; stun value reduced to 120.

Heat Knuckle, Heat Extend - now build less tension.

Giganter - active frames increased from 12 to 14.

Heavenly Potemkin Buster - whole body invincibility changed to upper body invincibility.

And some random techs:

- You can land j.P and 2HS after a regular Trishula hit, but it's tight.

- The best time to use a YRC Trishula is after landing ICPM.

- A combo that works on Axl is 5K > 2S > 6K > Giganter (with follow-up) > RC > 6HS.

- This combo works on Ky: 5K > 2S > 6K > Hammer > RC > 6HS > Hammer Break > 2S > 6K > Hammer Break > Heat.

- You can only land Heat after Trishula on CH, but can land HPB even on normal hit.

- Pot's homing dash looks like Hammer Break, except you can jump-cancel it.

6HS untech increase on normal hit is really nice, should give him better damage from a whole bunch of random starters like the one mentioned above, as well as making existing combos with it easier.

Less stun though, that could, bizarrely, actually help in a bunch of matchups. Right now CH 6HS is overkill stun value on the lower stun resistance characters, being slightly less stun you could do the longer combos (the ones you do on more sturdy characters right now), meaning you will actually get much better damage for hitting a CH 6HS. But that's about all the silver lining I could find there.

Has anyone mentioned how early you can YRC the Trisula and still get the projectile? Is it like how the PRC currently works today (have to cancel after the fire has become active or else it doesn't come out)?
