On the other hand, it is a bit pricey.  Buying all the extra stages and Music costs a nice $16.  For perspective, the game is $50; the amount $16 is 32% of the cost of the full game currently.  The price of the game is going to go down to boot.  Buying all the extra stages and BGMs does not increase the content of the game even close to 32%, and the extra content is old content that's already been in the series before is has pretty much just been "stuck in."

I'm afraid it's actually far worse than that.

Just for the hell of it, I whipped out the ol' calculator and did a little number crunching.  If you were to buy every available piece of DLC currently listed for the game on the US PSN store, the total would come to $92.28.  (Note that this price assumes you buy the discounted system voice bundle and don't buy the unlock code for Kagura — in other words, we're looking at the absolute bare minimum* someone can spend if they want to be able to experience 100% of the content on the disc.)

If we assume the two upcoming stage/music packs cost the same as the first four ($3.99 each) and the upcoming unlock code for Terumi costs the same as the other DLC-only character ($7.99 for Kokonoe), we can add on $15.97 to the base amount.  Total everything up and we have $108.25 as the final cost of DLC for CP (IF they don't release anything else beyond what's already been announced).

As the standard edition of CP currently carries a suggested retail price of $49.99, the DLC for the title is likely to eventually total well over 200% of the cost of the game itself.  Once the price of the game lowers over time (and if more DLC is announced in the future), we could potentially see that number creeping closer to the neighborhood of 300%.

They came pretty close with CS, but at this point I believe ASW has joined the elite ranks of companies most notorious for gouging their customers with post-release microtransactions.  In terms of the sheer outrageousness of the cost/content ratio for DLC, I think they're right up there with Valve and Bioware.

*I'm counting the unlimited character unlock pack as exclusive DLC because the "legitimate" means for unlocking said content are unreasonably difficult.  If you disagree, subtract $2.99 from the totals listed.

Yep, that some serious number crunching there. >_>

Yeah, a bit too much, but hey, as I say, vote with your wallets though. =/

They are, but I believe that poster is referring to the fact that in order to even have the opportunity to unlock them, you must win unlimited mars mode with the character you'd like unlimited for.

Which, BTW, its brutally difficult, unless you're real good at it though with everyone. >_>

Oh, I didn't know there was an extra requirement, I figured it was like Extend where you just needed some P$.

Is color 22 really available? I went and got all the color DLCs but I'm missing 22 still.

Color 22 is included in one of the stage DLC. Did you get that specific stage DLC?

why subtract Kagura, isn't the only way to get his colors 17-21 by buying his character unlock?

I got those colors for him without buying his unlock.

Requiem is in CP already

Yes, but it's a different stage than the "Requiem" from CT and CS. Just like there's a new "Moonlight Castle" in CP, there's also a different version of "Requiem" that has not been given as DLC yet.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this before, but concerning this downloadable dlc comes a huge glitch that allows you to play in themes not meant to be played in. 111 in total.

So i was introduced to this amazing glitch when you purchased the DLC Stages in CP and you fiddle around with the music just before an ONLINE match, you can access the different secret themes. Heres what you do:

1st: you scroll down to select music

2nd: you click L1 twice.

3rd: start scrolling Left and ONLY left or you'll have to click L1 twice again. You'll notice no matter how many times you click left it will always say Rebellion II.

Then you notice nothing is there.

You made it to the first secret theme you're able to fight with.

I already took the liberty to make a list on what songs are found and where to find them. Be warned after you scroll left back to Rebellion II it's switch from RB II and Lust Sin II till you click right and repeat the process.

Here are the songs and where they are:

1st from Rebellion: CP Main Menu theme

2nd From Rebellion: CP Character Select them

3rd From RB: Start Screen Music.

4th from RB; Blue Sanction

5th from RB: CP Story Credits theme

1st From Fatal Judge: CP BANG!BANG!BANG! (short version)

2nd From Fatal Judge: CP BANG!Bang!BANG! (Full)

1st From Sector 7: CT BBB (Full)

2nd from Sector 7: CT BBB (Short)

1st From Nightmare Fiction: Lobby Theme

1st From Gluttony: some 30 second CS Arcade theme that doesn't repeat.

Well, looks like Sourenga got it right on the dot, but no Adventus -12- stage. Anyways, last Vol. info updated. Guess that's it.

Adventus -12- was never in the game anyway. It was originally going to be Mu's stage back when she was going to be in CS1 arcade, but they never finished her in time for that so it was never implemented. Altar took its place.

Assuming that's the very last of the DLC for CP, my original estimates for the cost totals were pretty close.  The only thing I failed to take into account was the cost of the six lobby character packs, which comes to $5.94.

All totaled up, that brings the combined cost of this game's DLC to $114.19 ($116.68 if you're too impatient to unlock Kagura the normal way).
