@Soviet Bear: was interested in what entnervt said about the third video. From my prespective try to capitalize on CH 4C. If you have meter to burn Gurren > Enma > [stuff] or Gurren > 3C. And as for CH 3C, if you have the meter: 3C > 5C > Zan(1) > Kishu > [stuff]. Where [stuff] is Hakumen's jumploop and however many reps you are able to execute. Hope this helps. Good luck out there

I watched a few (maybe half) of your matches and I have one question: where are the loops? You dropped like 90% of the loop combos I saw and I am curious as why that happened.

Would it be possible for you to explain how the 10 minutes are divided? If you are going to stick to 10~ minutes I think it would be nice to know what ideas you have for what content you are going to put for the 10~min. Like: "X amount of time for explaining key moves, X amount of time for character specific knowledge/tactics, X amount of time for character specific FAQs, etc"

@Soviet From what I saw in your videos: vs Kagura: I feel you don't know the matchup very well. Second round looked like you had trouble blocking and getting out of the corner vs Ragna: you stuck out a few 2B's but didn't get much out of them. You can kishuu > enma or renka > [stuff] for more damage and corner carry. Also in your j2C > 5C > Zantetsu combo, if you think the Zantetsu won't connect you could kishuu > enma > BnB for guaranteed damage vs Jin: you became too predictable with the drives. The Jin noticed but he couldn't close out the match. More advanced Hakus, please discredit any thing I've said

Stack of books I was getting through over the summer. I took the choice of spending my few minutes waiting getting through a few pages. I made a habit of getting small tasks done while waiting for someone to join. Which to some (or many) getting a warm up in training might be the better choice.

Do you (Remius) have any problems with opening your own lobby? You didn't really address that. As Errol stated you can just create your own lobby. You don't need to continue searching for open lobbies. I was in a similar situation as you when I got back into playing a few weeks ago where there were a good handful of lobbies (on XBL, don't have EX for PS3) with restrictions and the ones I am able join I would get kicked out after playing a match. So now I just open up my own lobby and open up a book until someone joins (doesn't take long for someone to join, longest wait time was maybe 3 minutes). And you don't need to post in the matchmaking threads at all, it just helps you find other people to play with faster.

Makes sense. Extra 100~ damage for Hakumen to lose a couple options is a decent trade.

The Hakumen matches I've watched on Jourdal's channel lately...or maybe I just happen to watch the matches where that actually happens.

In the match vids, after a Hakumen does a [combo] > agito ender, then comes down with the staple j2C, why does no one (or at least most people) tech before the j2C hits? Is it better to eat the j2C then tech?

How do you tech/ukemi against Rachel? I have no idea what to do after getting blown up by a combo and waking up with george in my face and a flying Rachel coming in for a mixup.

If you have not done so already, see if your school has a fighting game club or gaming club. If there is none then create your own and see how many people are interested and show up to club meetings/activities. If you do create your own club be prepared to bring your own equipment (i.e. consoles, controllers, screens, etc. etc.).

Set dummy to crouch and set guard to random. Or do what Kurushii suggested.
