I plan on taking a week off from work when this game finally drops for console in the US.

At the same time it makes me so angry having to wait for it. Makes me want to catch a flight to Japan and spend a couple of weeks there however that is not an economically sound idea.

Also if any Houston people end up reading this post I plan on having a Guilty Gear XRD console Launch party when this finally releses for NA. Or JP if I have to import. And ill stream it.

Idk about time off, (since im graduating) but something tells me ima drop 100$+ on this game alone

The great thing about being unemployed is that you get time off for EVERY new game release!

I have been playing wow recently trying to do Arenas, and all I ever think about is when will XRD release so I can stop playing wow.

I'm down for that Xrd Launch party. Not sure if I'm able the get time off of work by that time though. You planning on getting it on the PS3 or PS4, since I'm positive most of us won't be getting a PS4 with a fightstick any time soon. Depending if it's getting release sooner than expected.

I'll probably import a PS3 and a PS4 copy for the JP launch, unless by some miracle the US launch is at the same time (I'd just get ours to support it).  Not sure about taking time off work... I'd definitely like to take a year off to train for Evo and shoot myself when Disney pays them to include whatever new Marvel is created instead of having Xrd day off for such a thing, but I don't get paid time off (can't really afford to miss days), and I could always be denied a day off even with 2 weeks notice if they really need me at the office.

But yeah, I'm totally requesting at least one day off even if I know they can't give it to me.

Im a part-timer, so I have more than enough time for Xrd when it releases.

Ive never been too big on GG in general, but the more I see Xrd, the more I can dig it.

In other words, yes, I intend to play it a lot when it drops.

I'll budget time for it the same way I do any other game release I care about. A healthy balance in life is useful for staying focused and not burning out.

Pretty much this for me as well.

Hopefully I'll have the money to buy it by then.

Leave days are like gold in the military so I'll be saving them for another time but don't count me out as an competitive contender, I like to test my skills against more of TX. players.

I plan on importing it for PS3, but when it comes out in the US I'll be buying it for PS4. I'll probably be playing ranked for most of the night, but have a open lobby later that night(if they have them).

I don't get vacation, being a part-timer. So I'll probably just call in sick instead.

So I am already planning a houston launch party at my house. But not sure if I am actually going to have it the night of launch or the weekend immediately after. Some believe I should have it the weekend of launch whenever that ends up being. So that players can devlope at least a little before event.

Time off? I'm planning to quit my job for Xrd! and go to grad school taking 1-2 classes but that's a minor detail lol

What is this 'work' you speak of? The great thing about being a freelance artist and blogger - they aren't technically jobs, lol. But, I totally plan on devoting a lot of time to the game in the first few weeks. I already preordered my copy for PS4 and all that jazz, like, as soon as I was able to. I would love to play other Texas players, but the GG community sort of died out where I live, boo...

Ha ha, sure thing! Let's all pray that netplay won't be awful. Oh, how I hate lag.

I live in Houston as well though I'm sorta new to FGs (I main sf4) but am starting to play AC+R to learn the game before Xrd comes out. If I'm at least competent I'm down to play as well

Hopefully Houston gets a community for Xrd. Game looks fun as hell

I'm in Hawaii.

If anyone is going to be complaining about lag it's me.

If this thing can run online better than P4A (which is just barely good enough for BnBs to be possible for me), I'll be happy. If it's identical to P4A online I'll be neutral.
I hope I can be happy...
