HoudiniJr100 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 To join on the discusson of 6C corner combos, I improved mine from a few pages back: 6C>66>cl.5C>cl.5C>236A>f.5C>8 j.B C>land>j.2C>5C>6C>214B. 4071 dmg with vorpal, 3705 without. You can change the ender with 22B/C or super for more damage (for super replace 6C with 236A>41236D for 5141dmg w/vorpal) It's a bit tough linking the first two close 5C (you have to let them drop quite low for the first cl.5C) but I think this one of the max damage corner punish routes! didn;t think you could link cl.5C into itself in that situation.

Hi buddy! Im not sure and cant test right now, but i guess if you replace 1st 5c for 66b it will be easier to do and deal more damage but im not sure about proration. I personally think double 5c is just fancy stuff. So hard and useless (cuz 66b->5c is easier and more damage). But again im not sure about prorations. And im here for some midscreen punishes. 6c 6c 236a walk 6c 236a walk 6c 214b. You need to be at point blank to start that combo. 6c dash 5c 214a 5b jump forward and delay a bit j.a delay j.b land 2a 6c 214b. This is more stable version. And a bit slide combos midscreen Air grab/j.2c/6b -> 5b 214a 5b jump forward and delay a bit j.a delay j.b land 2a 6c 214b. Air grab/j.2c/6b -> 5c DELAY 6c 236a walk 6c 236a walk 6c 214b . This one is pretty easy to do from j.2c starter and pretty hard from another two. Sorry friends i cant see the damage. Ill try to add it tommorow when ill can touch the joystick ^^ max range 6c 236a 5b 236a nj.c j.2c land 5c delay 2b 236a far.5c jump forward j.b j.c j.a land 5b 6c 214 b. This one is pretty swag and hardcore. Its kinda easy to confirm after blocking some shoryu moves what pushback a bit or after whiffed walds charge move. Every tatsu can be replaced with Kamikaze (41236 D) exept last combo(u should do it after last 5b) I was try to do this combo vs another chars... so funny thing you can do 6c -> super vs Orie ^^ And you can start combo from deep corner or whenever your 6c reach opponent in corner vs top tiers LOL (Wald/GrimRipper/Merukava) +1% for justice And GOGO AKATSUKI TEAM @ Sunday ^_^
GreekAngel Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Oh hi, Akatsuki's. I did a thing.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRjRQsg6ziY&feature=youtu.be Back to stuff, then.
Raidou Kuzunoha Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Good to know the majority of his combos can get him around 4-5K easy. Unless you wanna cheese people and purposely drop combos just to get consistent damage without too much scaling. Either way its the same prize.

Yeah if you replace the first cl.5C with 66B th combo deals around 100 more damage. I just thought that raw 5C did more dmg than raw 66B so it must be the optimal route. Didn't think it would affect prorations like this!
Yuhoke Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Ok, so I was messing around with Akatsuki's B+C reflector. I noticed that when you reflect a projectile in the air and press 2/1B+C when you do it, Akatsuki goes upwards. I was reflecting Ories 22C for lulz (like 11 B+C in a row), and tried the same in the air. Normal air reflector keeps your momentum, but j2 B+C flies you up. You can imagine it was pretty hilarious when I started j.2 B+Cing Ories 22C and Akatsuki starts flying up with each reflector "My people need me"

Seeing you subbing akatsuki is awesome, and seeing this combo video was awesome! I loved seeing the callback in the beginning too!

I can only do it if I plink the j.C into j.B+C.

GreekAngel Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Hey guys, you know this gif?http://www.gfycat.com/HandmadeSafeArabianoryx I made it betterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qju5mSL4_h8&feature=youtu.be
GreekAngel Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Double posting the god, but anyways, I did a setup. This COULD work probably.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVdcEGkNuqI&feature=youtu.be
Dr.Patient Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 What are Akatsuki's good frametraps, and 66b->66b good or is my friend just really bad?

The shenanigans you can do with this is hilarious. If you're the kind of person who likes parries in 3rd Strike, the thrill of seeing being able to parry moves from the big 3 just to completely throw them off guard. And if you think you got big balls, try parrying Gordeau's scythes in mid-air and be like "no, I don't respect you" *punch*.

I've been testing it, but I'm gonna be honest...it looks evry unwieldy sometimes, so throwing it out willy-nilly is not a good idea.

Sucks, cause it's super hype. I like the parry, but I'm honestly too scared to throw it out, which is weird, considering I play Hakumen.
Reyvin Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Don't know if it was discussed already, but here's a basic combo off of reversal 22C if you happen to have CS: 22C (5 hits/before final hit) > CS > assault > j.C > j.B > land > 5B or 5C > j.A > j.B > j.C or j.214B. Feel free to improvise/improve it however you wish.

I like the parry, but I'm honestly too scared to throw it out, which is weird, considering I play Hakumen. I would like to compare it to Naoto's Shield of Justice where you basically have to read your opponent's moves long in advance otherwise you have no choice but to commit to the defense in which you can get punished for. Its definitely not like a Chie reflect move where its like right on the spot and can be spammed. It just requires more attention. I'd say once people feel more comfortable with matchups in like a month or so, it'd probably be more practical. Doing so now at this stage in the game would seem really risky unless you're like a fighting game master.
Kriegdrache Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Yeah, I've only really used against the very few Hilda that I've played, and even then it's been super sparingly.
HoudiniJr100 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Yeah, I've only really used against the very few Hilda that I've played, and even then it's been super sparingly. it does sound effective against her due to her......swords XD

All Merkavas i was played VS had always use it as reversal with 100 mether ^^ Just if you bait it - react and do after super freez. I use 1B+C cuz if i press late ill block it. But yes, sometimes its silly to wait everytime, you need to read and risk all times that sucks :\
Raidou Kuzunoha Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I've seen wake up ORA ORA ORA. Not as bad as wake up DUNKEY BARRU. Which pisses me off to no end.
GreekAngel Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I did this thing while trying to find ways to maximize Veil off Damage.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEDZA5fRPeg His combo routes DO seem a bit limited though, soo... yeah...
SabataSP Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 The parry gives the opponent GRD meter. I don't think its a good idea to just use it against multiple hit moves like Merkava's EX "I, pierce". Its best used sparingly. Just take the one parry unless you want to show off. If you want to punish Merkava's reversal beat it with a upper cut from mid range if your positive they will use it or shield the last hit and punish with 2a if your closer. The shield option is unreliable but possible.
