Nehle Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ-QbM4xzTk Some pretty awesome sickups in this movie, and worth noticing is also 6P > homing pike on some characters where the BnB setup doesn't work (Eddie )
Kurokun Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Those 6P > homing pike setups were very nice! All the more reason to use it if given the opportunity in a matchup lol. -off to training mode-

I know its Koichi and all ( .___ . ) But how? >< Green Music note absorbed the hit. Both are projectiles. PS A few frames early w the spike and that would have been a nasty Counter hit. Lucky koichi.
zaeris Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Here are some new Makoto clips....... I’m rather unsure if it's him because his not pwn'ing as usual but defending with the world's greatest patience’s. GGXXAC: Kimiwo (AB) vs Makoto (DI) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy2-hY6ASC4 GGXXAC: Oracle (KY) vs Makoto (DI) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWKOaNp4HTw
Merilyn Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Yeah, his blocks against A.B.A were sick. If you look closer, a good chunk of them are instant blocks. D:
excelence Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 about that ABA match up, i believe he know what he's doing pwn'ing v ABA is a suicide... Dizzy has great hit Box for her combos ... and v Ky, a good VT loop will put her on corner stun edge lock down
fatewalker Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Fatewalker(DI) Vs. Femoral(SL)- http://youtube.com/watch?v=BojmU8CigsM Fatewalker(DI) Vs. Femoral(SL) 2- http://youtube.com/watch?v=x-x5xG8M9yg feed back please!
ShadowyDizzy Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Your game is very well played and the Slayer player is good as well. Your pressure strings are excellent and how you play Dizzy in a way I would love to myself one day. great games overall.
Merilyn Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Impressive play against Slayer. But it also felt like you were in the habit of doing either H~H fish or K~P fish. Most of the time the second laser fish missed. I personally love the H~K fish simply because it gives me some safety measures if I get hit. Props to you for doing some hot corner pressure with 3 air spikes. I wouldn't say it's as effective as other oki, but it's certainly flashy!
fatewalker Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Hmmmm..... HS`K Fish you say. that sounds pretty interesting. i'll try it out! thanx Merilyn!!
zaeris Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 very fun to watch fatewalker. Love your come back in game 2 second round ^^. I see you've been trying the reload style oki, hope to see more vids from you. EDIT: K,K fish are also good too, then there is also K,HS which can do some good mid screen oki.
Nehle Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Your keepaway is good, but your somewhat lacking on the offense. When you do IAD j.2S you always follow it up ith j.H which removes the mixup opportunity. Same problem with your oki - you had little to no mixups in there, except for the occasional tick throw. The bubble > air spike oki is indeed flashy, but had Slayer been blocking low on the first air spike it would have missed and he would've gotten a free hit. Too bad you missed the bubble loop setup on the 2H CH but props for trying - I love that shit =) So basically, work on your mixups, both in oki and in ordinary pressure strings - watch what HH, miyako and Kazuki do for some great ideas. Learning 2D special cancel is also a good idea because most of your combos ended with 2D
fatewalker Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Slayer could not have got out of the first hit of the Air Spike because of Fuzzy Gaurd. that's the whole point of the Bubble poo to the Air Spike. it takes lots of practice to get it down. but as long as they block the j.K(pop) then they have to block the Air Spike. and there is some mixup in that pressure on the 2nd bubble you can Pop with j.S, 5K, or 2K, and they all lead in to a Bubble loop. and the string repeats itself with a small gap in it. so you could repeat it as long as you want. i didn't do it against Slayer because of BBU however. lol you cought that CH 2HS huh!? yea i was hella pissed for missing that. twas gonna hurt. thanks for the feed back zaeris and Nehle!!
zaeris Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 the bubble lock down is indeed fun to watch but outdated these day with AC. It doesn't build guard bar as much as reload# but give nice tension gain and of course one 6hs blocked Oki build more GB then the bubble lock down which is what you should be aiming for. I would say to extend your bubble lock down to include mix up in the end. should play more with scyher frc it can add alot to mix up game from IAD to low. CH 2hs? well I curious, do you mean the old slash style with fish cancel and dash air spike?.
chun_li1 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Slayer could not have got out of the first hit of the Air Spike because of Fuzzy Gaurd. that's the whole point of the Bubble poo to the Air Spike. it takes lots of practice to get it down. but as long as they block the j.K(pop) then they have to block the Air Spike. Ah, the infamous "infinite" pin, pressing of #R Lore. Sry, but besides her "unblockable", its BS too. Top japanese players all knew how to get out. You can do this on someone not familiar w/ Dizzys pins, rushdown. Good for 1 x but if you gonna do repeated attempts in 1 rush, you´re gonna mess up most likely. Its also much harder to do then in #R & /. PS. Trainings mode options are not perfect. It does not simulate human behaviour, reaction perfectly. I love talking in riddles btw.
fatewalker Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 CH 2HS, HS Fish, 2HS, Arrow(Hold S), IAD.HS, Bubble, Release S(pop)x2, land, air combo.
zaeris Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 another makoto match http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxv1RgLxTC4 he surely has change his style, but I like the control usuage of the holding air spike in gatling combo. here's one good one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SveGSG7yazo&feature=related not sure on the name of the dizzy player though, but that last second comeback "beautiful"
Nehle Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 That's not makoto Edit: The ones posted earlier are not makoto either
zaeris Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 ic, interesting. sigh~~ when will he grace us with his presence.
Nehle Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I know, but actually I was pretty disappointed with those matches when I thought they were makoto, so I'm glad that he hasn't changed style, at least as far as we know Edit: VVV yes, of course VVV
zaeris Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I know, but actually I was pretty disappointed with those matches when I thought they were makoto, so I'm glad that he hasn't changed style, at least as far as we know Just for clarification, this is not THE makoto but A makoto.
