Stag.S Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks for the quick response, and I didn't consider fish as a projectile, so I thought it only summons continued to move during input freeze. My mistake ^^;
zaeris Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Well I shouldn't use projectiles.... all stuff on screen can move. although the lazer coming out is a projectile.
Stag.S Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Advice? http://raptoriic.com/video/ggac/Fastest%20Round%20Ever.wmv Yes that's me.
Kurokun Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Advice? http://raptoriic.com/video/ggac/Fastest%20Round%20Ever.wmv Yes that's me. Um, rushdown normal mode ABA WITH fish summon assistance, lol.
Stag.S Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I'm sad that if ABA is lucky, one 6HS counterhit is instant dizzy Dizzy.
excelence Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 not quite, i'll also quote Kurokun input and i do play quite a bit of ABA matchup and the chance of 6h ch > Destroy is veeeeeeeeeery little to none in my experience XD
zaeris Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I'm sad that if ABA is lucky, one 6HS counterhit is instant dizzy Dizzy. all dizzy around the world mourn your death if anyone is bored. I started playing my scrubby dizzy again.... Casual vids... was playing baiken for a while.. But it just wasn't as fun. Eddie vs Dizzy Eddie vs Dizzy Baiken VS Dizzy Baiken vs Dizzy EDIT: lots of funny moments be sure to pick those up ^^
Stag.S Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Haha my friend did the math for me, ABA's normal 6HS is 53 damage, with a 2.5 dizzy modifier. (Move Damage x Combo Modifier x Character State Modifier) -> -5 -> x(1.0 - 1.3) -> x0.15 ((53 x 100% x 200% x 2.5) - 5) x 1.3 x 0.15 = 50.7 dizzy ((53 x 100% x 200% x 2.5) - 5) x 1.2 x 0.15 = 46.8 dizzy So, if ABA is a high roller and gets 1.3 on the RNG in the model, that's the One Hit Dizzy right there. Now to learn how to NOT get hit by it ^^

Eddie vs Dizzy Eddie vs Dizzy Baiken VS Dizzy Baiken vs Dizzy EDIT: lots of funny moments be sure to pick those up ^^ Damn, for a 'scrubby' Dizzy as you call it, you've got me beat. All this thread does is make me realize how much my Dizzy sucks:gonk: Anyway, a bit early to be using the necro super against the Eddy in that first vid, especially since Eddy can fly....I guess Imperial Ray would have been better. Also, I was wondering - you guys know how projectiles can knock out Dizzy in certain cases during the necro super? Can little eddy also do this? That would be super annoying.
zaeris Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Projectiles that stay out long enough or don't disappear on hit can interrupt dizzy during the initial phases of necro anger's OD. With Eddie this is not the case because little Eddie disappear on hit while I've yet to encounter if dizzy's OD goes away I have escape eddies mawaru oki with necro's anger EDIT: When I meant scrubby I don't mean I'm a scrub literally but I haven't used her 2 months or so everything is coming back in bits and pieces.
Nehle Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 EDIT: Nehle, get back to me dammit, tell me which bubble loops you like to use. I must know:keke: Erm, okay, I don't really know, honestly. I usually go for one from 6P > 421S in corner. but then there's also fish > bubble fake crossup > j.H 421S, and of course ghetto mixups > bubble pop > 421S in corner. In most cases however, I try to avoid doing bubble loop setups and try to get a knockdown instead.
Killerwatt Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Hey fellow Dizzy players; I have my first recording of my Dizzy (vs. a Slayer, no less). Please let me know how I fare. Keep in mind; AC is the first time I have picked up Dizzy seriously and she is still a work in progress (I've only been player her since June of this year) so while she is my second main, I am by no means a great Dizzy player, yet. So for me to get better, I need your input. They'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhdsmbJN9zo

Funny match overall lots of Lol moments Need more vid to give you better assessment but for the moment some basics needs to be covered. Air dash--> priority oneGaltor--> most basic BnB 5k--> 5hs--> ice spikeThen spice it up abit with C.s and 2.hsJc property can be done off 2d, 5k, 5p and 2s, 6h.Landing with js is okay but that’s a more defensive means... JHS if you’re sure your opponent won't AA but j2s is prefer.Dust combo needs work you can use the ID or the dust combo variant.jhs on CH has huge hit stun be sure to do large damage of it like dash c.s -> 5hs--> 2hs ice spike.Punish dot with real damage, even f.s into ice spike.Throw follow ups can be either 2p-> f.s-> ice spike or 2k variant. 2k harder because of its hit box being lower to ground so messing up is high. Stick with 2p until you feel the need for more damage of if the character is heavy.2k--> 5hs only galtors on crouching or CH opponents.Learn to escape by super jump double air dash. Use the bubble one of dizzy best arsenal. just having it on screen will make anyone think twice about attack her. I would like to see you using more of dizzy normals and special she doesn't have many special but they come in many variants making mix up more fun. besides that some corner oki and mid oki needs some work. try learning IAD j2s AD j2s, its a good tool for first time but use less once people stop falling for it but still good.

Thanks for the pointers man. I will hit Training mode hardcore this week. I actually do have more Dizzy vids to show but they haven't been uploaded yet. As soon as they are I'll post them. I actually didn't catch the Rozen maiden reference of my Dizzy color until a friend pointed out to me. I love that color scheme for Dizzy Not sure by what you mean by learning IAD j2s > AD j2s though, could you elaborate?

Stag.S Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Tips for that is that the initial IAD to j.2S must be done ASAP, if you want to eke out that extra 66 for the second AD into another j.2S, it doesn't combo obviously, but it's a mixup game and if they guess wrong and block low too early you get a free gatling into j.HS, land, BnB into Ice Spike.

The points that zaeris touched upon are good things to start working on. Also, refer to the Okizeme and Combo threads for examples to practice in training mode and utilize in matchups.

I was kinda nervous that you guys were talking about using my color, lol. Awesome, I still get keep it. Just kidding. Man, I wish the signal splitter would hurry up and get here - I want to show you guys my dizzy. Like I said I am not very good, but I want to show you what I am working with. I don't claim to be a Makoto or anything, but I want to play an aggressive Dizzy - Using and abusing that mobility to keep pressure and create blockstrings while i wait for my next chance to use fish is one big part of my gameplan. I love to IAD and hit-confirm air combos whenever i get the chance. And if something is even remotely punishable by throwing or someone does a lazy or weak jump-in attempt, you can be more than certain Tech Romancer will be glad to throw your ass and start setting up for corner oki.
Killerwatt Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I've gotta say though; IADing after a summon is kinda hard; most times I try it I get an empty jump (as you saw numerous times in the vid). Any tips on how to get the timing down?

Any tips on how to get the timing down? There's a time frame for IADing after summons?! But seriously, I just do it asap. Sounds like you're botching the IAD command, probably pushing 8, but not 6 fast enough. Personally, I spend time in practice mode just IADing constantly to work it into muscle memory.
excelence Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 go to training mode and turn the input display on, if u got empty jump there's a chance u didn't push the 6 button or pushing it to fast, there's a limit to how low your iad can be probably that's the problem

There's no need to be like makoto he is GOD no one can touch his status . Miyako pressure strings looks awesome as well you should review his matches sometimes. There's some nice and easy mix up you can learn from his vid. IAD or AD after summons both are okay since j2s is easier if you doing it higher plus if you're doing it anyway it would still connect. input wise I just keep hitting 77777777 confirm animation and hit '1S'. maybe someone can tell me a trick or two. The only time specific IAD that I've put effort into is air pike hold IAD into Jhs bubble release pike.

Thanks for the tip; but after trying it out in practice mode last night I couldn't pull it off! Can you give me and tips on execution, if you can? Every time I try I always land after the j2S and she does c.S instead
Stag.S Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Make sure you're doing 96 for the AD, and IMMEDIATELY after you do j.2s. I kind of cheat sometimes and spam 966, then I drag the stick down to 32 S, and I spam 66 again. Once you get your second airdash after the j.2s the next one should be easily enough to do, it's the second airdash I have trouble with.
