Myoro Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Lambda's new move into 236C looks like it'll wreak trains. (You know, if it actually combos) Looks like Celica's got those ground to air confirms down (I still don't see that heal ball being used over a Rapid.) I called Lambda's OD making her swords bigger so you all owe me money.
Tokkan Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I called Lambda's OD making her swords bigger so you all owe me money. Called what? Ozawa said so himself in that demonstration.
Tokkan Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Is that so? I must have missed it then =P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1cSOE4y1ks#t=470 Yeah, he starts explaining it at around 7:50. "kyodaika suru" ("become giant").
Myoro Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I only have 3 years of Japanese under my belt (2 high school years, 1 college) So I couldn't really understand that... ^_^ Is there anything else that was super important that the gent said?
BloodWolF Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Lambda's new move into 236C looks like it'll wreak trains. (You know, if it actually combos) I think it crumples on CH for the followup. It forced a knockdown in the last gameplay demonstration.
Nemesis Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I suppose I shouldnt bother but... I was really hoping lambda would have different gameplay... The changes look nice but I guess I was hoping for too much~ ill just have to play minerva thennnnnnn
Diveman Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Although, I do REALLY hope they're going to change this. IF they really want it to succeed over here, Be a staple at EVO... They can't come out with the game a month before EVO. cough ultra sf4 cough also Lambda doesn't look that much different, she looks like just Nu with different combos, I guess her gameplay is gonna be slightly different? we're gonna have to wait till loketest tho
zaeris Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 well guess I shouldn't chime in but ggrd is more likely going to be at evo next year unless arcsys release a new ggxrd which would screw with evo timing.
Ragnarok_F4 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Lambda looks like a clone, totally disappointed there. Celica's theme is nice.
Airk Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 well guess I shouldn't chime in but ggrd is more likely going to be at evo next year unless arcsys release a new ggxrd which would screw with evo timing. WAAAY too many factors to even TALK about this right now. Don't go there. Also, I'm kinda with Nemesis; I mean, I LIKE Lambda. More than Nu. But I'm not seeing that she has much different in 'real' terms beyond like, different combos and hitconfirms.
Luminos564 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX1OhRfg7rs Trailer. Hooray. Thanks for sharing. Hmm, I honestly like what I see from Celica. It will be interesting to see how she develops in the coming months. Oh and that Minerva Unleashed DD is probably one of the most badass things I've seen in BB yet. Lamb-chops though, I honestly don't know what to expect. Maybe it is just me but didn't her showcase feel a little...lackluster? Then again this is just a trailer so I think I might as well wait until a CMV comes out or something for her.
zaeris Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 well you know lamb-chop only got like 20sec of so showcasing her, celica had like an entire minute ^^, well anyway I was already disappointed with the changes cough*nu*cough celica is looking quite fun because her moves are very well animated in a sense, compare to other characters, I guess arakune fits that mold where the designer has put in effort to make her attack unique.
CurseSword Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Definitely, Celica looks fun to play and also seems strong. And Lambda, well... Ugh.
mAc Chaos Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 I'm sure different properties in her attacks will turn up that will produce a different playstyle. Maybe Nu herself is the one that will end up more different. Or they just thought the mode change was too complicated and wanted to get rid of it while keeping fans of both modes happy.
Nemesis Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Give the mode change to mu-12 ... it would do shit like... switch between the steins that fire and the kinda that bash you - yes plz
someonewhodied Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 this damage loss i see in the demo video. this.... ARGHHHHHH I WANT TO STRANGLE A FREAKIN KITTEN The damage loss. Why do they do this to me. My current nu combos. the only way to make the damage equal postpatch is to give a 100% damage boost or cut reverse sickle recovery by about 75% to still allow the same combos I currently do or make some obscure move cause float and allow combos after (jumpcancellable 3C or let it gatling into drives). And knowing how these patches work i get none of those. And my nu unblockable...... why... I worked so hard to perfect it.....
zaeris Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 the sad part is I don't think people realise how good mode change was lol, anyway we should wait for loktest and actually 2 months of real play, for true evidence of disappointment,
shtkn Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 when's that location test again? early this month right? anyone have exact dates?
Errol Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 8-7 thru 8-10 I think it was. it's on the official site. This weekend anyway. 2014年8月7日(木) ~ 8月10日(日)
Tokkan Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 http://blazblue.jp/topics.html#topics661 Command list PDFs have been added. Lambda does not have Supra, Supra is exclusive to Nu. Makoto parry is now 214D. Relius now has a 3rd follow up for Id Lauger. Izayoi can now follow up Strike Fall with Valkyrie Astraea. Kagura's Fafner/Dragon's Ascent has a B version now. Probably somethings I missed. Looking over: Tao has a new move called Tao Pittan, input is j.214D while at the edge of the screen (or just j.D when used as follow-up to Dancing Edge). It is chargeable and can be modified by holding 6. Hazama's Jabaki now has a new input, 236A (was 236D) For Valkenhayn, Koenig Wolf and Eisen Wolf now have C Versions while Himmel Wolf is now throw input. Bullet can now Brake from Miquelet Capture by pressing B. Izayoi's Slaver Trans-Am now costs a minimum of 1 stock but will consume all stocks (previously cost exactly 4 stocks). Kokonoe's Activate is now chargeable. Edit: FYI trying to skim while relaying info is bad, I got a few details wrong while posting it here and had to correct myself several times.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Looks like Bullet has a new B followup to Miquelet Capture too but I can't be sure. Could you possibly confirm?
Master Of Chaos Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Arakune's OD now instantly tags the opponent with curse. THE FLYING FUCK!?
DinoDinoDino Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Seems like activating OD for Arakune automatically curses the opponent wow edit: woops beaten by Chaos Edited August 5, 2014 by DinoDinoDino
