Zoogstin Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I'm seeing some of the fruits already. Hopefully I also will be able to contribute a few tidbits once the game comes out. EDIT: By the way I was looking at the move list in the guide. Does Nirvana's 4D hit low on the first hit? I think I saw a video where it a hit a ragna player and he got that yellow exclamation point over his head when he got hit by it. If so that should be mentioned.
Kyle Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 You've been busy Zeero. Looking great =) I've got two suggestions. - I would like to see some kind of transition between moves that combo. A comma, arrow or something. As of now they kinda blend together. -You label the combos 1-whatever. I would also like to see something to differentiate between the numerical listing and the attack input. (1)- (2)- or :1:- :2:- Something like this. Nice work. KlapTrap. lol
Zoogstin Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Yeah Zeero's doing a good job. I prefer's Kyle's first choice. Also can anybody comment on my question in the last post.
Kyle Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Here:http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/carl_data/ Notes have been translated. =) Zoog: According to this it can be guarded "all" =/ Zeero, I'm gonna hit this for ya. Format time! You like?
TGS Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Nice to see something resembling a Carl guide being worked on. Keep up the good work, guys! And yes, I use Carl (and only Carl) in BB too. Any Carls going to Devastation/Evo?
bbq sauce Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I'm an aspiring Carl, and I'ma be at Evo. I only played him once though, not long after I switched over to him, my arcade replaced BB with KoF XII. :C but yeah, my Carl is hot trash... so I wouldn't really count me as a Carl player.

KlapTrap. lol tnx =) I actually but like . as numerical separations but i guess not that apparent hah. I'll make it (1)- or something. I'll put arrows in between, then just italics the comments i guess. any other suggestion on format/notation? Nice new format, feel free to edit it as you see fit =) Klaptrap is free win hahaha Oh one thing. How do you guys like your air combo notations? For example, 623C 5B jB djB C do you guys like it as... 623C 5B jc jB jc jB jC 623C 5B jB djBC (how i've been doing it) 623C 5B jc jB dj jB jC n variations of course...
Zeero Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Changed format of combos. Plz comment Probably write some more over weekends. tonight is Carl night for me
Kyle Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Play'n BB tomorrow in Maryland! woot woot. Shit looks GREAT Zeero.
Kyle Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I like "->" I'm going to add the names of special moves, than remove alternates info (post #1). THX for your start dude, but it's time to really expand on that. =) Realized that the move names will probably change with the US release.. oh well. I'll update later. I am excited to hear his voice actor. I wonder just how "french" he is. ya know? have you thought about Carl being "Super-Monty-Python french Knight" french. Like ~oh oh ohhhhoh Jzachela bleu AllgraAAAtooo"
Zeero Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Move Name (command): Description better format? hah, french voice actor will prove to be interesting.
A Bad Idea Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Realized that the move names will probably change with the US release.. oh well. I'll update later. I am excited to hear his voice actor. I wonder just how "french" he is. ya know? have you thought about Carl being "Super-Monty-Python french Knight" french. Like ~oh oh ohhhhoh Jzachela bleu AllgraAAAtooo" Why would they change the move names? Most of them are based on Italian classical music terminology. And I thought Carl was from Austria...?
Kyle Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Uruwashii & Tsuioko sound Japanese to me. =/ Are you saying a man from Austria can't speak French? Is buffering activation on raise the roof loops worth it? We need to find a portion to explain easy links with button buffering. Especially with all of those 3C pick-ups. =D
A Bad Idea Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Well obviously those need translations, but the rest of them (like 'Vivace', and 'Cantabile') don't need changing =O And um... well, do they speak French in Austria? *shrug* The last thing I need is English voiceovers with accents. I don't think I could stand to play as Litchi with a thick Chinese accent.
Kyle Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Microsoft Word Find/Replace ftw. I want my English voice overs to have respectable accents. lol
Zeero Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Well you can count Litchi out. so much truth in this statement it hurts.
PhaethonH Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Well obviously those need translations, but the rest of them (like 'Vivace', and 'Cantabile') don't need changing =O And um... well, do they speak French in Austria? *shrug* The last thing I need is English voiceovers with accents. I don't think I could stand to play as Litchi with a thick Chinese accent. You're in luck. Litchi yells Chinese with a thin California accent. :8/: P.S.: US version quote ftw, 63214C = "Let me hear you sing!!!"
Zoogstin Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Yo Zeero you should take your combos and give it to this guy. http://dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5948
