I know this is old, but I've been through this thread time and time again, practicing combos against the entire cast. I've noticed that I have no problem doing the combos IF I get in. Right now, I'm just winging it and trying to figure out ways to get in with FRKZ. I mean, I cant bait anything because barrier doesnt cancel the dash. I try dashing past them since i have invincibility frames but tracking usually takes care of that. So, any tips for a FRKZ noob? Btw, I've been trying to find something to do against jump happy opponents. I've been messing with 7/8/9 dashing and canceled it with j.b since the dash speed helps me beat them in the air on reaction. Turns out j.b, 6-dash, j.d, 3/2-dash j.d, V, 2b, 6c, 9-dash, j.b, 6d, 3d, V, 2c for 4023 damage. Haven't tested on the entire cast though. I like j.b more than j.d sometimes because it has range and comes out faster. Any thoughts or better solutions? EDIT: Another thing, I've read a lot about starting a combo normally then FRKZing in the middle and continuing the combo FRKZ style. I've been trying stuff like. 5a, 5b, 2b, 2c, FRKZ, 6-dash, 6a, 6c, 9-dash, j.b, etc, etc. But from the looks of it, the combo timer runs out before I can do anything worth while, there's like one more hit in there. So it always ends up being [...], FRKZ, 6-dash, 6A, *opponent techs*. Is it simply not possible to continue a FRKZ combo starting in normal mode?

I'm new so forgive me if this sounds scrub...ish.. but I've been watching lots of videos of Bang (mostly Dora) and I saw him do things like 6D 623B and jD 236C and when I tried it, it didn't work for me. I don't know if it's just that I'm not fast enough or if he's Rapid Canceling.

Generally, questions like this are asked in the execution thread. The answer is there as well. In any case, you need to jump cancel those moves to get the second part to come out.

Tip: When doing 6D, press 9, then just as 6D connects pressed 623B. As for the jD to 236C, do 2369C instead after the jD. Hope that helps you out some.

Cool, I think I got 6D (9) 623B down, but whenever I try jD 2369C I always pop up a little. Am I supposed to do it faster so that I Jump cancel but never technically pop up for the jump?

Yep, you should be doing it in place without jumping up at all. Not sure what your exact problem is but maybe try doing it faster, or a bit later.

Interesting possibly new Tager specific: 6A CH 6A 6C j.D j.D 2B 6C j.B j.D 2C 5256 damage dash canceling when appropriate dunno if more is possible off 6A CH but I thought this looked cool.

Hopefully this shines some light on some people but its probably old as dirt now. xD Combos full of 2369C: Example chains. 2C, 2369C, 66 5C, 2369C, 66 5C, 2369C, 2363214C/Or Other Combo finishers (I.E. 6C, j.b, j.c, j.236A or 6C, j.b, 623C) Corner Combo: 2B CH, 2369C, 2B, 2C, 2369C, 66 5C, 2369C, 2363214C/Or Other Combo finishers. Plenty of other things that can be done here even.... Corner vs Tager: 5C CH (highly impossible to get a CH with this without trading hits) 5C CH, 2369C, 5C, 2C, 2369C, 66 5C, 5D, sj.c, j.236A/Or Other Combo finishers. Hopefully this helps and maybe i can get a vid of these combos and such. "Again sorry if its old." -iSadClown :(

i know this combo was already known and its actually pretty impractical BUT its the highest damaging combo with 50 heat. *omitted steel rain" 6C jD 6A 623B daifunka for 5.5k

6C jD 6A 623B daifunka for 5.5k

That isn't even the highest damage out of FRKZ for 50 heat, let alone in FRKZ.

3C > RC > d. 5C > 6A > 623B > Daifunka

Does about 4200 but blows 100 heat. Doesn't need to be a CH, might be trickier from longer distances.

wouldnt leaving out the 5C do more damage?

I have no clue where to post CT videos anymore lmao.

Bang montage 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYxCiIG2BgM

Has a few remotely useful things in it as compared to the previous, but still mostly shenanigans. Also youtube said no to the awesome song I had on it before so I just took some random other one from my iTunes =[. Please enjoy anyway, I found it very entertaining =].

@faulty: It does slightly more with the 5C left in. 3C > RC > d.2D > sj. D > C shuri > 6C > j.D > 2C (2876; 3 seals; Tager only) 3C > RC > d.5C > 6A > 623B > d.2B > 6C > j.C (2918; all except Carl I think) 6B > RC > C shuri > 6C > j.D > 2B > 623B > 6C > 623B > 2C (3865; Ragna, Hakumen, Tager) 6B > RC > C shuri > 6C > j.D > 2B > 623B > 6C > j.C (3548; Litchi, Bang) 6B > RC > C shuri > j.D > 2B > 623B > 6C > 623B > 2C (3626; Jin, Arakune) 6B > j.D > RC > C shuri > 6C > j.D > 2B > 623B > 6C > 623B (4022; Tager) 6B > RC > C shuri > j.D > 2B > 6C > j.C (2888; Carl)

6B RC>j.D works on Rachel as well.

I feel like blowing 100 heat on a 3C combo is a waste unless they've bursted and you want to finish them off since you usually land CH 3C if you land it at all and that gives you a free combo anyway.

just occurred to me that I completely missed one of the clips I was going to put in the montage. Basically, on crouch: 5B CH 6A 623B d.5B 2B j.B j.C or 5B CH 6A daifunka IMPOSSIBLE hit confirm but it looks cool.

Oh man, if you're making any more Bang montages, you should include my j.236B* > d.5C > 6A > 623B > d.2B > 623B > daifunka for 5186 *you only want the explosion for the launch. Now THAT'S a pretty much impossible hit confirm. :psyduck:

In my next montage I actually had: b nail explosion, d.6C j.D 6A 623B for similar damage. I'm trying to avoid training now though cause I keep finding new things I want to put in a montage and I just made one >_>

<_<; Oh the possibilities are endless. I don't have the will to avoid wanting to try things. This is why I resort to playing other games.

While I don't think it is a big deal, I think the CT videos are supposed to go into the other merged thread. This one was supposed to be for the Combos + FRKZ. The other one is for everything else. But I honestly don't think it matters anymore....

A nail tech traps w/o meter or corner! Tested on Hakumen so far, I assume it works on all category 2s and 3s. I'll edit it in later after testing. 5A > 5B > 2B > 6C > j.D > late 2B > tk A Nail > tech trap. Now I gotta test it and see if I can find a way to work it into the category 1 bnb.

I think you got your categories mixed up. Also, why would you do a tech trap instead of just taking all that damage and mix-up/oki situation, instead of using up a nail for a potential guess? I can understand going for tech traps at the end of combos, but I'm unsure about this one. This is a serious question by the way.
