Daedron Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 2B isn't 10 frames in the loketest as far as I am aware, it was just Spinoza saying they should post that as feedback to Arc Sys so that with some luck they change it, could be wrong. 5A > 2B would work as a combo if that was the case. Either way, the changes so far look promising, I honestly hope they roll nothing back and leave it as it is, massive nerfing of the top tiers as is happening now is extremely good for us. Tsubaki won't need many buffs if most of the characters above her are literally brought down to her level. Even if this is not the case, some of you will remember that the CS2 loketests looked awful for us, yet we all know how Tsubaki eventually ended up as.

Neither of these were the real changes that made her good in CS2; Hell, the unblockable wasn't even a change - it was just the one good thing she had going for her in CS1. If anything, the reason she was good in CS2 was because her chargeless damage was surprisingly good thanks to DP whiff combos. I too will miss 623C TO THE SKY! It seems like such a dopey thing to nerf, too, I mean, what's the point in changing it other than removing uniqueness? It's not like it's a major factor in like...anything.

BBCP Tsubaki can have good damages without charge too, depending on the situation. CS2 Tsubaki was strong because lol framedata and charge speed. Remember the D tapping method that gave us so many charges at no risk. Remember the godly 5B which could match even Ragna's one. She had all the tools to keep and reset pressure (2A 6f/+2, 5B 9f/+1, 22C +1, 236D +2, 22D +3, j.236B +X) and if my memory serves me well, 5B > 5D > 5B was actually a legit frametrap. This is where CP is terrible. Barrier block is broken. Our mixup/pressure game is a joke. Our neutral.... well lol. BUT this is offtopic and i can see Kiba's fangs and teeth growing up so i'll stop here :P

I feel the need to prepare myself for them, but I don't have a concrete idea of what most of them are so I have just spent the last few days without much sleep in training mode going "what if etc." while trying out different scenarios that I attempt to emulate.

If only I knew all of that then when I was playing her on the side. i'm curious still why they decided to make her 6a 26 frames-- 29 frames of recovery if you whiff. If 22B would no longer ground slide, what would the mid screen combo game be? I guess just a normal knockdown but no pickups.

zaeris Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 just for reference the part mentioning 5d, 2d and jd are not changes but the player themselves wishing for it to be different. anyway I will list some changes but chzchn attempt is quite close, still my friend couldnt work out which special they are referring to since he doesnt play tsubaki. 236d now act the same as 236c as in it doesn't cross over. 412d now is similar to carls fireball, or like jin old c fireball I'm assuming he means the momentum. j214d being overhead (already know) 22b charge doesnt cause sliding 22c and 2c, floats opponent more, IAD jc combo does not work. j.C less untech time 6c not jump cancellable on block 5a 2b connects on crouching 5a5bb5cc6b doesnt combo full in this path, (crouch hit), need to remove one gatling for this to combo. will double check these one C version of her super now act like her D version in over drive, he does say there is a follow up, I will double check this one. 236c into 214b is difficult, will check this one.

I am really curious what the hell the point of 236D is now. Is it going to be like 421D and only be worth using together to get the aura? I really hope not. It better wall bounce off standing targets or something like that now or at least be + on block. Like really what could they possibly add to 236D to make it worth the 1 stock. It has a lot of utility at the moment that I hope is at least transferred over to 236C. It could be used in combos on airborne targets to get in a 6C after the wallbounce. It could be used to OTG after 22D or j.214D. It could be used in mid screen combos to setup resets. It could be used to side switch when your back is to the wall. Then there's also the stuff together with 421D, but I am mostly talking about what it can do alone.
