Brandinoli Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 More matches of myself playing the Eddie MU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMCsUb7Dxxw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15ja2e_R-Dw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz5-SYE1UXU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQNct2EP-vQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5x-zBh3KEM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phqfkRt_Gog This MU doesn't feel too bad once you get going. You gotta be wary of where puddle is at all times since little Eddie can be summoned from there. You can special cancel your moves even if they hit little Eddie so take note of that.
Wicked Swami Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I'm a scrub but how do you combo Beak Diver to the rapid slashes? I swear I mash it and it wont combo, is there some timing to it or something?

Are you talking about one of Sin's challenges specifically or just using it in matches?

Challenge. It was something like S > 236H> H I eventually got it once but couldn't do the challenge consistently

I thought you were talking about the Marvel player TooMuchDamage at first since his name is Eddie Mu IRL lol. I was like wtf I didn't know he played GG. Anyway how you liking Sin? I haven't played you since MB was the thing and you lived in NC. Challenge. It was something like S > 236H> H I eventually got it once but couldn't do the challenge consistently You just have to mash really fast during the hit stop of 236H. If you mash beforehand it counts as you charging the move and makes it not combo. If you're close and get the 2 hitter though you can start mashing during the first hit, makes it a bit easier.
Dreiko Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Did anyone figure out any throw invuln moves? The wiki doesn't seem to list any atm. There are none. Your best bet is meaty 623S or a well-spaced 3K which is disjointed enough to make people think they can grab you when they in fact can't. Just beware, 3K isn't actually throw invuln, it's just disjointed. if you go too in or are fighting someone with abnormally large throw range you will get grabbed.
Jugiatsu Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Okay quick question about something basic: 5H>6H>623S>214S>214X>j.6H Is this viable on all characters or only certain ones? Looking at the SIN Overview video it works fine on Sin but doesn't seem to work on Bedman which really....limits Sins combo potential if thats the case on certain characters. Well aware of the 6H issue on May and Faust but I didn't think j.6H would be an issue.
gli Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Anyone have information on Sin's timer scam? Apparently this is actually a thing.
NemesisZeru Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Finally unlocked Sin today and....I'm quite liking him. Long range normals, combos I can actually do, and good damage? Me likey. Figured out my first high damage combo, too. Not sure how viable it is, but after some finger pain, I can do it reliably on Sol, at least: K>3K>236K>632S(Critical Hit)>214S>236HS>214K>j6HS>c.S>HS(One hit)>6HS>236HS>Nom Definitely having fun with him, though. Are there any ways to do the 214S>214K>j6HS>cS combos midscreen, outside of rapid canceling a throw? I've been experimenting with it, but haven't found anything yet.
edollarports Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Wait, a timer scam? I *HAVE* to learn this. If anyone knows anything, please share! ;n; As for Nemesis, Sin's more basic combos like the one you listed are very easy and can be confirmed off of all sorts of stuff (RC pretty much any special for starts lol) If you want it meterless, you'll need a midscreen H starter probably.

Eh, it's not a matter of meterless. I've just had trouble knocking them high enough for the j6HS to land. As for that being a basic, very easy combo...really? Took me a while to figure out how to time it. I must really be bad~ x3

Well aware of the 6H issue on May and Faust but I didn't think j.6H would be an issue. 6H into 623S is very unreliable unless you're running at them since the momentum pushes the DP more so you get the crit. Also 6H does whiff on a few crouching characters so be mindful of who you shouldn't use it on. One gimmick you can do on those guys is chain into 6H whiff and then immediately throw them. Most think they're blocking it when it whiffs over their heads lol You can also do 6H YRC before it hits throw for more gimmicks.

I am having a ton of trouble fighting against my buddy who uses Bedman. He has every answer there is against Sin. Especially his Bed Stamp. Completely safe on block and whiff means you can't setup anything against him. Cant stay away either as he will just throw his head at you while pushing up his daisy wheel from the ground all day long. Anyone have any advice? He got 9 wins in a row against me.
edollarports Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Is Bed stamp, the downwards slam? You can just antiair. You can run past daisy wheel if he doesn't yomi to stop your approach. You can 214K over all sorts of stuff. Just hit him.
HeroKing Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Yo, what's the best button to use when air dashing in? I feel like it's H but I haven't been able to actually combo off of it when I get a hit.
Dream Maker Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Typically you don't really want to air dash in with Sin as his air normals are bad in air to ground situations. But if somehow you need to dash in and are confident you will hit the opponent, I feel like jS into jK works best to reliably connect combos afterwards. jHS hits quite deep but it's still pretty bad vs anti-airs. It is also very hard to connect into a ground combo because of the low level of each individual hit, but also because it forces standing on hit. I feel like jHS is best used in air to air battles and also as an okizeme tool to set-up 50/50 mixups when it's possible (many good setups with it on this thread).
HeroKing Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I see. I'm trying to stay grounded, but old habits.
Villainous Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 IAD j.S j.K works the best for me. j.HS is his best air to ground but because of the hitstun the spacing is really finnicky to get a combo off of it. Generally you have to do j.S after j.H to make it safe otherwise you're get thrown when doing it from an air dash. IMO: j.P mashable air to air. Can be used with low to the ground IAD chains too. j.K better air to air in the corner, decent air to ground chain from j.S. Bad midscreen because of the knockback. j.S best overall jump in. Works decent as air to ground and air to air j.H mostly a mixup tool. Great air to ground but unsafe from most heights if not canceled into j.S or j214S.
Villainous Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Wait j hs gatlins into js? Yep. You can mixup with j.HS > land go low or j.HS into j.S after the last hit.
NagorbMan Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Is that more of a link rather than a cancel? Like are you really cancelling the jhs or is the jhs's recovery so short that you can mash out js?

You can 214K over all sorts of stuff. Just hit him. Yes but the problem is none of Sin's air normals can trade with the slam. We went into practice and nothing was a decent trade. Only thing that wins is j.236H but that by itself isn't enough to put the odds in your favor, just knock him away and give you some breathing room. It's at this point I wish I could upload match replays from PS3 because I am just getting decimated by him. I'll keep practicing.

Only costs 12-13 meter if you actually connect with it.

You can DP it as well but its a bit harder. Or you can practice blitz shielding it and never get hit by it again >_<
