The 2nd location test for Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe has been announced. It will be held at Leebros Takatsuki on April 13th-14th. A livestream will be available on Nico Nico (I will do everything in my power to record.) As with the 1st location test, there are some changes. Everything in blue has been either added or modified entirely from the previous location test. And as usual, everything here is subjected to change.

Notes:

Plus = Buff

Minus = Nerf

Asterisk = Not sure of overall effect

All changes that were made in the previous location test (in comparison to v.1.02) were kept.

If you see a character missing in this list, it simply means that they weren't changed from the previous location test.

I'm confused - I thought some other company made this? Did ARc Systems pick this up? Whata's the story with the IP?

OH NO! MY FREE ZOMBIE BURST IS GONE! Guess I'll have to actually think about what I'm doing now, instead of almost always having a free get out of combo zombie. It's for the better. Kudlak was kinda dumb.

Chaos Code has always been endorsed by Arc System Works, the game is developed by FK Digital [a Taiwanese company based in Australia that's marketing to Japan ... :V] but it was thanks to Arc System Works publishing the title that it was able to be distributed to Japanese arcades. Playstation Asia actually produced the PSN version for Asian regions (hence why it was finally able to be enjoyed by other Asian territories first for the first time since it's creation) and it appears Arc System Works is really bumping out their support as they published the Japanese PSN version for Chaos Code which released not too long ago as well as the NESiCAxLive version which is now being location tested.

They also made a card game with an Alice in Wonderland theme (also produced by Arc) and a spin-off puzzler based on Chaos Code starring Hermes, but yeah, that's the little big history of FKD and ARC.

Have there been any updates as far as an international release date?

This.

Still too lazy to setup an asia region psn with the added headache of adding funds.

There has been a Japanese PSN release for quite some time, outside of that, don't expect any North American releases any time soon. They don't have a publisher for any regions outside of Asia (Sony Asia) and Japan (Arc System Works) and something tells me that while Arc "could" distribute in North America I doubt they see it as a high priority item, especially with no netplay available. They probably only distributed on the JPN PSN because they are the publisher for the arcade version.

Honestly I have no idea what FKD are doing/have planned for the consumer ver, they've been pretty quiet on that front for awhile now but I kind of imagine they aren't too concerned with it, what with the standalone and NESSiCA ver doing pretty well.

If any update for the consumer ver or an international ver are in the works, it will probably be with the implementation of the latest arcade ver [New Signs of Catastrophe]. One can only hope they plan on bringing that home...

in completely unrelated news, I want a PSN ver of The Rumble Fish 2 ; -;

I imported it back in December and will try to support any way I can. I just know quite a few people out there who want it, but won't bother importing it, especially after it was announced to be coming to NA.

From what Tenryo said after the CC Exhibition at Next Level a few weeks back, it was supposed to be coming very soon.

I too have been waiting for it. I don't want to bother with foreign accounts and blah blah blah. JUST GIMME IT.

Especially after getting my hands on it at EVO

The day when we get TRF2 and DB on PSN i will implode of happiness.

Well speak of the devil and the devil shall come!

A trailer for CC [nothing new, same as all the other region's PSN announcement trailers] was published in this week's NA PSN store update, so it should becoming sooner rather than later. The publisher is indeed ARC as expected. I really hope they cleaned up the English script, I'll rebuy it for that alone lol.

So when's Netplay and New Signs of Catastrophe patch .v.

Also Dimps is just toying with us, that was like the first dozen questions they got once TRF2 was making it's return to arcades :s TRF2, forever arcade only ; -; But I've given up all hope of EVER seeing Deamon Bride...
