FK Digital has asked me to come up with a suitable name for their NESiCA ranking system for Chaos Code - New Sign of Catastrophe. They are looking for something related to the theme of the game, preferably 3 words (like PSR, for example). I thought I'd turn this into a community project, for it's better to have multiple ideas, and sharing things is always fun. (plus I'm terrible at naming)

You can be as creative as you like. Even the troll names are necessary, for leaving a mark on the development of a game should be ideal for almost anyone. If you don't own the game yet (or even if you do) I'll throw in a free purchase of Chaos Code towards the person with the best name. I want to end this as soon as April 5th, for it's production is already in motion with the location tests(s). I said 5 names on Twitter, but depending on the circumstances, I'll try to slide in at least 10 max. I don't want to overwhelm them with too many decisions.

So far, I have 2 names, one of them I came up with myself, and the other courtesy of Kurushii.

CSR = Chaotics Seeker Rank. With this name I was thinking heavily about the theme, as I feel it suits every character's goal, and it gives a strong sense of enrichment to the player.

CPR = Chaos Point Rank. Kurushii came up with this one. It's simple enough to suit FKD's tastes (They were thinking something with "Chaos" and "Point" until I stopped them) and inside jokes with the community makes it memorable enough to be a solid part of history. (UNiB = RIP)

All ideas are welcome, and I appreciate the help.

Is this game worth getting? I haven't gotten it yet since I was hoping for some sort of online or US release, since I didn't want to make a HK account. But, maybe I'll bite and make one iono. Feeling like filling up my PS3 with a few more games.

As for the ranking system, IMO you should go with something that doesn't sounds too much like PSR(Like CSR etc.) Coming up with something a bit more original would be better.

I would say something with the story(I don't know it much, but I've read a bit about it) And I understand there's this energy called Chaotics?

So how about something like "Chaotics Energy Level"? Where your points pretty much show how much you've leveled up in a way.

Just tossing a random coin here, as I haven't really gotten into this game myself.

What style of fighter are you? The game is very friendly for rushdown honestly, and very SNK-ish, so if you like those, you're fine, but projectiles are odd in the game as well, because it's almost like they are instantly active.

I play everything and all styles. I pick by characters and adapt to their style. I can play any fighting game.

There is no online...yet, but there will be soon with the international releases.

I don't get some of those changes. Bravo's sausages are already done with 214P, and he has no 41236P move to change its input. Does the arcade version differ from the console one in any way?

The inputs were most likely swapped. Why sausages wasn't listed? I honestly don't know, but I can't add something I'm not sure of. Just going by logic here.

Yeah, there was one thing I was confused by under Celia

+ 214K: Gains EX version

214k already has an ex version, unless maybe they mean "Hidden Missles" (214D) gets an ex version. Did 214B become the new 22k move they're talking about?

Yeah, that's exactly what they meant. 22K is now a modified version of the old EX. Some of this stuff becomes clear once you see it in action. I'm trying to fix everything as I watch the location tests. The missiles aren't widespread. EX version now works in a similar fashion to Dr. Doom.

Hammahamma what

That means it's easier to get bodied.

Hmmm. 236 series has more recovery? Meh. I'll live. Zombies appear to be untouched, so they're still probably dumb.

If these changes are in the final version, I can see a lot of shifts in tiers. For an immediate example, Cait & Sith is looking really good now, and Kai looks like she's going to get pegged down a bit. But there is one indisputable fact that will always remain...

Cerberus is still a god.

Oh right, I remember reading that somewhere. Derp.

I'm assuming the international release/JP release will be patched to the new version? Or is there no info on that yet?

I own the JP version and I can confirm it's a copy of the HK version just with Japanese text on descriptions, and ASW's logo at the intro. No online mode yet. TKD posted on their facebook that the EU and NA versions are next to come out soon. Hopefully once all versions are out they patch them up.

No, it won't. The US/EU versions will be the same as the HK/JP versions and receive 1.02. Going by FKD's track record, CC:NSOC needs some life in the arcades before a console release, so it won't be available to us for months.

Also, there will be netplay after all versions are released.
