lets go theory fighters

japlish dude, vein, goth loli, and weird looking mahou shoujo look like theyre top tier, and they all have good projectile and vein can teleport crossup with his lol

also it looks like no juggling in this game? needa watch the rest of videos

I want a console release now. I need to main Cthylla lol. Also the only ones I can say look top tier at this moment are Vein, Celia and Cerberus. Also is it just me or do some characters have reference palettes?

Also Vein has the best stage theme.

Much like in AP zoning is going to be stronger in this game due to the simple fact the airdashes are really weak, players are going to need to really up their footsie games

That being said it is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too early to even speculate character strength, especially off of these videos as this is "Hour 0" play, lol. Like the store literally just opens up and they began recording, I doubt 95% of the people present have even touched the game (back when it had it's very limited loctests).

the blonde hair white coat palatte for japlish dude looks sorta like ky lol

also the okama's bells are pretty scary since they stay active even if you get hit like sword dude's projectile but right above you

D: but the guy giving the commentary in the vids already gave like most of the roster their own nicknames by what they look like, and catherine's okama cause he's a dude that wears female clothing and acts like one :o

no1's telling you not to call them whenever you want, all they are saying is that until enough time has passed, you might as well be discussing the color of the walls in your room for all the relevance it will have.

Like I said...you're basing the game on Hour 0 play with a bunch of people who have never even played it, hell some of those people could have never played a fighter until then lol

Yeah the promo and loctest vids show the true potential of the game, it'll probably be at least a week before we see competent play. And some character have changed a bit since loctest so just hold off on accusations for a bit = w=

yeah and that stuff is also like half a year old....they've changed things up like the thing that she can summon now spits like 4 fireballs instead of 1, i dont think i saw that blue circle move even once in that ~4 hr debut tournament

3rd strike didnt have parry? anyways fuck sf only reason i said sf is because every character has a dp, after watching the entire tourney i think its more like sf/kof/mb. i think roll is actually too good in this game since its free and you can escape corner pressure with it, also it goes through almost every super lol

juggles are probably possible since i saw some mahou shoujo being able to do an IAD jump attack after that move that looked sorta like millia's disc, maybe it could cancel into projectile setup in air?

the exceed chaos mode is like kof13's hd mode combined with mb's blood heat mode, and it temporarily stops the game timer until the exceed chaos gauge is emptied, also supers look like they arent affected by scaling at all

third strike is not a typical sf game. also, these parries actually have recovery, unlike 3rd strike.

rolls are punishable, just like in kof. they're useful for getting out of pressure, yes, but in exchange pressure is probably really good, and rolls arent really much better than a dp, especially since dps will beat light attacks, and rolls will lose since the light attacks recover quick enough.

i linked you several videos that showed them. do you seriously think they would just remove general juggeability even though they THEY SHOWED JUGGLES IN FOOTAGE? :psyduck:

the footage that actually had people remotely competent at the game is more important than footage of day 1 scrubbery.

well im talking about vein and that move is was an air normal and i would think that even people mashing would somehow throw it out at least once since his only air special is the projectile?and yes it was day 1, i wasnt expecting anything, in fact it exceeded my expectations since alot of people pulled off some pretty unique stuff. well i didnt actually keep up with this game until i found out it came out 2 days ago, and seeing loketest footage from 8-14 months ago isnt that reliable for the actual game, especially when there is footage of the final loketest that was like 3 months ago which should be much more accurate.

Hopefully there's some things we don't know about and it's not so cut and dry...

Also hoping this means possible rebalancing for console release.

like i said on srk:looks like they missed an instance where dash cancelling a normal leads to an infinite, at least in the corner

i hope this is the only one or something as opposed to failing to test for obvious infinites across the board

of course, if this is the only sort of infinite in, dashes could be banned and people would have to pick run, but that's less than ideal and we have no idea how far this extends

also, maybe it'll get a billion revisions like melty and stop being silly, like guilty/melty :x

also from srk: "Judging by how the video looks, I'd suspect it probably only works while Sith is in standby for one of her moves, since Cait seems to get different normals when he doesn't have her. There may be also something screwy with how he gets hit while Sith is on standby. Have to wait and see I guess."

i wouldnt call silly stuff something that could be end as game breaking you know, or ending as part of the game strategy on high level play (hnk and sbx say hello)
