SoWL Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Okay, I don't think there is going to be much more info from now on, so I'll post my findings for today.- First, the remaining LBs. Ruili's LB allows her to combo her supers together, and since it turns the power gauge into a timer, I assume that she also has infinite meter while it's active (and it's active for a while). Mugen, anyone?- Muramasa's Railgun Magatsu works exactly as you'd expect it to. After charging for a while, it shoots over the entire screen in an instant, dealing lots of damage. It's very easy to confirm into, especially after a launcher or a wall-slam. Anna must die, no mercy. Then we have an elaborate Ignis summary, courtesy of @k_moeden:https://twitter.com/k_moeden- Very long normals, charge move is invulnerable to projectiles, has some traps (and projectiles of her own, but those are pretty weak).- The trap makes an arrow fly out when triggered, but it can miss; the trajectory might depend on the button pressed? Since the trap doesn't have the C option in the official list, 421C might be manual activation.- The charge move has some good speed and hitboxes on it, so it can probably be used in combos, too. Don't forget about its invulnerability if you're fighting her as a projectile-heavy character. However, the invuls only last until the active frames, so you have to be patient and not use it too soon. The traveling distance changes with the button pressed, increasing from A to C (and it feels that the same goes for the start-up). You can press the C button for a follow-up attack (A doesn't do anything, and B just wasn't tested).- f.B is pretty long, hitting Al at the round start as she was trying to shoot her projectile. Though it might actually whiff if they don't do anything. Also, because it does not combo into 5C at the very tip, you have to confirm it into the charge at that range, which sucks if you're not used to charge characters.- Behold, the aerial normals. j.B's hitbox is really good, so it's probably your go-to aerial normal.- She has a super-fireball of questionable use. She might not even need it, since the 646 super is so good. It might not be as good as Ein's, but it covers more range and is probably faster. Not sure if it has any invulnerability. If you're in the Blast state, you can probably connect it after a roll cancel.- Variable Rush might be unblockable on first hit, but since there isn't that much Ignis info, it might just be an overhead. The LB covers the whole screen; the start-up is quite long, but it might have some super-freeze to let you combo into it.- The throw slams the enemy down right before you, bouncing them off the ground. You can easily follow it up in the corner, but you'll have to roll-cancel it in mid-screen to follow it up.So, after reading this, I can understand why she's considered to be as strong as Al and Ein: she counters their projectiles hard. And though Al has a lot of other good points (with no downsides to speak of), Ein suffers quite a bit without her gunfire. And that's it until more characters (or videos) are released, I suppose. I will probably make a Muramasa album in the near future, or at least translate another summary I found that's dedicated to her.
Chipp12 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The main visual is here!http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/ キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!!! But why do they have Sonico in there? Also kinda funny to see the DFC Ouka beside two 巨乳 characters (and Sonico on the top)
SoWL Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 But why do they have Sonico in there?Because she has to be everywhere. Even on the title screen. Some more stealth updates on the website. First, the chibis in the system rundown:http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/system/system1.htmlAnd the publicity page in case you missed all the news reports:http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/publicity.htmlFound two more write-ups on Mora and Ruili, but it's getting late, so I won't translate them until tomorrow. For now, here you go:https://www.evernote.com/shard/s295/sh/847371b4-73f0-430a-8477-0e898fc3034d/fc3d87ecf8fca85cb8b02dea68625edahttp://blog.livedoor.jp/fiotanlove/archives/51912948.htmlEven though al seems to be everywhere, there isn't that much info on her. Well, she's simple, so it's okay. At the very least, I learned that Mirror of Nitocris is performed with 22A/B/C, and that Atlach-Nacha is an unblockable trap, not a throw.I also found some Ein combos and figured I should transcribe them, since they sound cool:2A 2B 2C 623B(1) Aoi c.B f.B 2C 623B(2) 236AB (deals 6700 damage and costs 1 bar, but you get it from using Aoi as RC)2A 2B 2C 214A Miyuki j.B j.C j.B j.C 214AB (about 5000 damage, costs 1 bar for the ender)2A 2B 2C 214A Kaigen 236236BC (the damage from the LB is prorated to around 7000, so use it only when you want to style on people)And the quote of the day:https://twitter.com/KiryuYuki1011/status/590133852913344512
Kikirin Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Hahahaha that tweet. "What kind of a game is Nitroplus Blasterz?" "A game without Vergil, Minazuki, or Elphelt." "So a godly game, huh."
Sojoro Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Praise Be Kaigen dono assist into Elen's LB \(-o-)/. Aoi (I'll just call her kami assist) RC looks pretty neat. Cannot definitely wait to see arcade release. Also Happy 420.
SoWL Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 No translations today, either, too busy. But I found a write-up on Anna:https://www.evernote.com/shard/s604/sh/d656ed1a-f795-4e47-84f5-805d2a3d7a17/09fb6b2485a62773e0cd8ea203365ab9Actually, which write-up should I translate first? Any request would give me enough motivation to translate it ASAP. I got some stuff on Muramasa, Mora, Ruili, and now Anna.
Sojoro Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 So something happening on 4/30? There's a new scan of Ignis doing a super pose that looks strangely like Yu doing Issen.http://www.famitsu.com/news/201504/23077299.html
SolxBaiken Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 The game begins official arcade operations on the 30th, so we can expect actual footage soon. Of course the game is only launching with 8 [of a planned 11?] player character roster. Also it looks like GODSGARDEN will be having a little premiere event for the game on the eve of its release.

Any request would give me enough motivation to translate it ASAP. I got some stuff on Muramasa, Mora, Ruili, and now Anna. Sorry but I'm one of those who prefer actual video footage to the raw text, also I'm not really interested in these characters for now. Nitroplus staff are planning to do another stream with them trying the game at the end of this month. http://live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv218630677
SoWL Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah, since the game is coming out so soon, I'm not sure anyone is impatient enough to want any translations right now.I'll do my best reuploading those two streams, but, again, the footage is going to be much less rare by then, so don't feel bad if something goes wrong again on my end.
Anim8rDude Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Sweet, the stream is tommorow. To be honest, I haven't felt this excited for a fighting game for quite a while. It's a very odd... but addicting feeling! Hehe, I'll probably watch gameplay videos t'ill I die know everybody's moves, then import, kinda like what I did with UNI hooray!

Same, I would very much like to see the level 3 setups with Ein that players can come up with different assists.
SoWL Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) Even though I downloaded the stream footage, Youtube doesn't want to upload it, so I'll have to reupload it to Mega again. The videos being jittery is a problem on their side, not mine.https://mega.co.nz/#!7cpxTDjD!dK15tIDve5JD3uVeeuyFyG0Y_n9G5aRReHLgCHTmIZIhttps://mega.co.nz/#!zUogSZYI!rgoYTHFjcugaEaWfXXcByEPoNlSnsOYpgC7nvw9qzMgThey were so entranced by the game, the stream went a whole hour longer than they planned. Most of the footage is various breakdowns of characters and system mechanics, but there are some casual matches, too. Some personal highlights:- They have shown all the LBs other than maybe Mora's, but we already saw that one.- The LB anime cut-ins don't change palettes, which is too bad.- Ein's parry is just her 5C with some guard point-like properties. Makes for some interesting option selects.- Ruili's LB lasts for about an eternity and gives her super-dashes, like KI's Thunder. It doesn't make supers free, though.- Muramasa has a healing super where she transforms in her spider form?- Unsurprisingly, Ignis's BGM is Kokou no Tama.- Good luck seeing Ignis's traps, especially if you decide to combo her while she's sitting on top of one.- On top of the poison, stun and feint traps, Ignis even has a super-trap that looks just the same as the rest when she sets it up (unless you watch her power gauge closely).EDIT: Oh, hey, the movelists on the main website are now complete.http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/character/chara00.htmlSpeaking of which, Hayashi D said that they're going to open a community Wiki-like website for all the info on the game, so you can look forward to that. And they added the Ranking page, which has some adorable chibis by Minoa.http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/ranking/ranking_score.html Edited April 29, 2015 by SoWL
Kieofire Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv219437555 There is a stream up now that it has hit arcades!
Anim8rDude Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 In the end, I missed the stream. Shame on me! Thanks for the downloads SoWL, & I'll definitely keep an eye on that channel Kieofire. The game is out, and it looks great. Cheers! *Raises glass* Oh, I also did a few sprites. Nothing wrong with having them too early! I only started with the fan favorites for now.
Bill307 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I'm n a cab right now. Every character is SO COOL. Too many to try, lol. Anyone want me to try anything?
Bill307 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Ignis (long sword) - seems like long range zoner character with cmd grab and 2d short-hop for mixup - can end bnbs in wallslam to put opponent fullscreen - far 5B long-range poke; has close 5b too - 236x (air ok) batarang projectile - [4]6x rush, 4(?)x follow-up wallslam - 421x (air ok) string arrow trap - 360? cmd grab, can combo 2a etc. after - 646a+b super coup/rush - 236a+b batarangs super - 412a+b arrow trap super: looks same as 412x until triggered - 236236b+c level 3: like Halo Arcana Blaze: long (~45f?) vulnerable start-up, then super flash and hits entire screen. - bnb: 2a 5b 5c [4]6b 1a (follow-up) 646a+b ~4500 dmg - wallslam combo: (opponent in corner) 5b [4]6b 1a 5a ...? - air combo: j.a j.b dj.b dj.c 6d j.a j.c ...? - combo into 5d launcher...? - combo into level 3: 5b [4]6b 1a 236236b+c

The stream seems to practice combos in Versus.- After using a Blast, you can apparently cancel moves into quick action (roll, air dash, short hop), but I've seen it used even outside of a Blast. Can you clarify that?- Al has a follow-up on her 214A+B scimitar toss super that's performed by pressing any button (maybe multiple times?). What does it do?- Ruili's level 3 super (236236B+C) buffs her supers, but how? People were saying that she can combo them together, but maybe they get better by themselves, too?- Can you block Saya's ground super-blob (236A+B)? It has a grab-like animation, but I just never saw anyone try blocking it.- Any special properties on Anna's super-DP (623A+B)? Haven't seen it yet.- Where does Muramasa's parry super (623A+B) leave both players? Again, never seen it catch anything yet.EDIT: Aww, Mora has a special victory animation if she finishes the round with Child Play. That's so cool.EDIT EDIT: The Nitroplus stream is over, and even though it didn't have anything radically new in it, they did say that the official wiki is live now!http://npblasterz-wiki.net/nbfan/Also, apparently, Muramasa's Manual Down (the healing super) blows the enemy away if they're close enough. That makes it more useful than I thought. Edited April 30, 2015 by SoWL

Kieofire Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Yeah, sure, I can do that. She even got her wiki page filled to some extent already.http://npblasterz-wiki.net/nbfan/アンナThank you very much, I want to know what I am getting myself into if/when the game comes to console plus I like having information on hand too.It is going to be so hard for me to sit through my classes today since I want to be watching streams so my mind is going to be wandering so hard after watching for hours last night and this morning, really liking the game even more now that it is out.
Anim8rDude Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Yesterday was the actually the first time I saw the game in action. I was unaware that there were a few videos before that lol. This game is actually pretty freestyle when it comes to using partners in combos, doesn't it? That, and it doesn't seem execution heavy either, which is always a plus! It is going to be so hard for me to sit through my classes today since I want to be watching streams so my mind is going to be wandering so hard... Ohohoho... it's absolutely terrible I tell ya.
Bill307 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 - Does it actually have a proper training mode? The stream seems to practice combos in Versus. I don't think so. The game actually doesn't even have a last boss yet: you just beat all the other fighters in random (probably) order and then you win / get the credits. - After using a Blast, you can apparently cancel moves into quick action (roll, air dash, short hop), but I've seen it used even outside of a Blast. Can you clarify that? AFAICT, you can cancel all normals into a quick action on hit or block, both ground and air. Throws too, after the last hit. E.g. you can use the rolls and short-hops to continue pressure on the ground (probably always mashable). If you trigger one of Ignis's super traps while hitting the opponent with a normal, you can roll-cancel or air-roll-cancel to projectile-invul through the missile and bullets. - Al has a follow-up on her 214A+B scimitar toss super that's performed by pressing any button (maybe multiple times?). What does it do? - Ruili's level 3 super (236236B+C) buffs her supers, but how? People were saying that she can combo them together, but maybe they get better by themselves, too? Didn't get to try or play against these characters (except vs CPUs), unfortunately. - Can you block Saya's ground super-blob (236A+B)? It has a grab-like animation, but I just never saw anyone try blocking it. Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has to be jumped and/or rolled. E.g. I never saw the CPU block Anna's level 3, but one time it whiffed while they were rolling, so I think it has to be rolled or air-rolled. - Any special properties on Anna's super-DP (623A+B)? Haven't seen it yet. I'm guessing it's invincible. Seems to have a bit longer horizontal reach on the ground than 623x in combos. - Where does Muramasa's parry super (623A+B) leave both players? Again, never seen it catch anything yet. I may have seen it once but I don't recall, sorry. :/ This game is actually pretty freestyle when it comes to using partners in combos, doesn't it? That, and it doesn't seem execution heavy either, which is always a plus! Ohohoho... it's absolutely terrible I tell ya. The partner-cancels are meterless and you can do them at pretty much any time when your partner is available. (e.g. they can be used to make reversals safe on block) I'm not much of a combo guy but there's definitely a LOT to explore! Many of the partners seem to regenerate pretty slowly, though, and often you'll only get 1 good use of them per round. Like Arcana Heart, I think it's going to be really easy to do a BnB and spend a bar and/or partner to get good damage, close to what you'd get from an optimized and execution-heavy combo. Hitstun seems to deteriorate quickly, much faster than in Arcsys and French Bread games. I personally like this for two reasons: - it keeps combos short (usually) - it means a player with crazy execution can squeeze out only a little more damage than a player with simple combos (usually) I think Nitroplus Blasters will be one of the things I'll miss most after leaving Japan. I wish we could get it on console and play it when I get back home. Edit: cross-post from Twitter: (Ein's level 3 is like a fully-invincible version of Elphelt's gun-aiming attack, but with weird acceleration on the crosshair movement.) Ein's level 3 deals like 40-50% dmg and is unblockable. If the opp is stuck in blockstun it's theoretically guaranteed. It's pretty hard to aim -- not like Elphelt's at all. But even on day 1 I was able to land it raw many times -- on Kyamei, no less! It's going to be the new Day 1 Circus Teddie: throw it out there when you're close to losing, anyway, and you might just steal the round! And while it's punishable on whiff*, there's no guaranteed way to avoid it! It's definitely gonna make a lot of people salty, lol. (* It may be hard or impossible to punish if an assist like The Bees comes on screen, though!) Other system mechanics notes: - The throw tech window is HUGE, almost purple throw length. Def. more than 18f: reactable! - Rolls and air rolls / assaults are all fully projectile-invul until end. Some chars spew a lot of bullets but they're all rollable. - There is chip death but you can avoid it by shielding. Shield prevents all chip damage. But when you shield in blockstun you're throwable! - When an attack is shielded, BOTH players can cancel into any other attack, D-assault, or jump (and probably other options). - All normals can be cancelled into D movements -- roll, short-hop, or air-roll/assault -- on hit or block, on ground or in the air. - The short-hop is fast but has a lot of landing lag afterwards, like 10f. Eg If you go for a short-hop j.A overhead you'll be minus on hit. - Air movement is like GG/P4A: jump + dbl-jump, or jump + airdash, or superjump + airdash. But you can also assault (D) after any of these. - Like Street Fighter and Melty Blood, there's "trip guard": if you do an attack in the air, you cannot block when you land for a few frames - Shield whiff recovery is short but punishable (can't block). Low shields lose to overheads. All shields lose to throws and cmd grabs. - (All?) ground moves are air-unblockable, however they are air-shieldable. - Unlike UNIEL and DFC, you're vulnerable in the air after you air tech / air recover. You regain all air movement options, though.
Sojoro Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Edit: cross-post from Twitter: (Ein's level 3 is like a fully-invincible version of Elphelt's gun-aiming attack, but with weird acceleration on the crosshair movement.) (* It may be hard or impossible to punish if an assist like The Bees comes on screen, though!) I LOVE YOU BILL. You have just confirmed the one day I wanted to make sure in this game: Ein's Level 3 as an unblockable. Let the setups begin. Also my thoughts: Yea, the window to tech seems huge from what I'm seeing in matches. There have been a lot of throw breaks. Also, I was watching people test out Ignis and I'm not totally sure how her Lethal Blaze works. I know it hits everywhere, but does it freeze whatever the opponent is doing at the time. IIRC saw another Ignis backdash and got htit by the level 3.
Diveman Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Are there any long range/trap based characters in this game besides Ignis? I was thiking Saya but I haven't seen any footage of her
