AtTheGates Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 i vote for "i dont give a FUCK what its called" as long as we understand each other.
JohnGrimm Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 We should find something better, like "inverse-doube-jump-installing" but less stupid. I could see Inverse Double Jump or something similar working if you abbreviate it to IDJ. False Roman Cancel is a pretty silly name, but FRC seems to work for people.
alvare Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I don't give a fuck either, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't decide for a name. I like IDJ. Another thing, my friend doesn't seem able to install the updates, the "updater" (start.exe) doesn't even check for them on his PC (he has Win7). My guess it's the host is somehow "banned" in hosts.txt, because we have the same ISP, but if someone has dealt with this before, it could be very helpful. BTW I'm totally diggin' the wiki, keep it up.
Negative-Zer0 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Delete and install again, make sure the demo exists nowhere on your CPU. IDJ sounds good, lets go with that. Some consistency so we know what we are talking about would be nice. All they need to do patch out the stupidness (infinite jumps, rounds canceling themselves in training mode [it just stops and no one can take damage anymore] NOT IDJ, or blockswitching, or corpse hopping on Agito. Agito actually being able to WIN, and a better poration system.) I think everything else in the engine is perfect as is.
JohnGrimm Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 All they need to do patch out the stupidness (infinite jumps, rounds canceling themselves in training mode [it just stops and no one can take damage anymore] NOT IDJ If I knew how to write in Japanese I'd send Aja an e-mail asking to keep it in, because it really does make the game more interesting and makes some characters who genuinely need it better.
Aureliano Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'd like a way to reset the super meter after having used big bang mode in training mode, too.
TSHKN Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 you don't need to know Japanese to email them they get in all languages so they will read your email fine.
JohnGrimm Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 you don't need to know Japanese to email them they get in all languages so they will read your email fine. But I already tried to e-mail them and the response I got was "We don't know English, thanks for the support."
Tong Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) Dudes, why the heck the inputting system is so unforgiving? If i dont input 623 SLOWLY for DP, a 2A will comeout... Not to mention the odd dashing attack system, probably to avoid tick jabs. Edited August 24, 2011 by Tong
JohnGrimm Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Dudes, why the heck the inputting system is so unforgiving? If i dont input 623 for DP, a 2A will comeout... 6323 is a no no Not to mention the odd dashing attack system, probably to avoid tick jabs. But it's not demanding at all. You can DP the same way as SF4 with 323, the game just demands a forward, a down, and another forward.
Tong Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Feels very laggish... Also, what are the inputs for basic moves? Like burst?
JohnGrimm Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Feels very laggish... Also, what are the inputs for basic moves? Like burst? Burst I think it just A+B+C. It's all in the wiki.
xlolxlolx Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcxEnSYK1Eo did it on no tech because the 214A>5A>2C link is a bitch
Aureliano Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I think Tong's problem is that from what I've felt the game doesn't have much in the way of buffering, so you gotta be more precise in your timing than in most recent games.
Akiro Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Personally, I thought the buffering system was too forgiving, everytime I was trying to input a 236B I would get a 623B because of a previous move I inputted. Also, as for the question about usng 623B as a good oki tool, I've personally been using it as a way to cover myself so I can charge Kinako's spirit meter. Anyone rushes you down while that thing is floating around is going to eat a big damage combo, It knocks the person down and enables you to OTG them with anything if they get hit. So if they stay away until it goes away, you can charge 2 of your gauge back for the cost of the move, plus one more.
Aftermath Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) If I knew how to write in Japanese I'd send Aja an e-mail asking to keep it in, because it really does make the game more interesting and makes some characters who genuinely need it better. I'm sure that someone here knows enough Japanese to get the basic idea across. I dunno. My vocabulary is atrocious, and I'd probably look like a total tool using these words since I have no actual experience speaking Japanese, but here's my attempt. すみません このビデオクリップを見てください http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs9eCOCbGR8 このバグがおもしろいですけど。あなた達はバグを治すないでください あのものがゲイムを進むからですけど ありがとうございます Sumimasen (Excuse me) Kono bideokurippu wo mitekudasai (Please look at this video clip.) <link> Kono bagu ga omoshiroi desu kedo (This bug is interesting.) Anata-tachi wa bagu wo naosunaidekudasai. (Please don't fix this bug, you guys.) Ano mono ga geimu wo mochinaosu kara desu kedo (Because that thing improves the game.) Arigatou gozaimasu (Thank you very much.) Can someone tell me how incorrect this is? Edited August 24, 2011 by Aftermath
Aftermath Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) Please lend a hand, haha. This can be a learning experience for me. Everything I know about Japanese is from reading VNs, so I'd appreciate it if you could give me a breakdown on how proper sentence structure would work. Edited August 24, 2011 by Aftermath
Aftermath Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Oh well. Can you at least help us write an e-mail that wouldn't look like it came from some noob gaijin?
Vinn Aleixo Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 New Character???? Edit: Since I haven't played the original game (Daibanchou - Big Bang Age), I think this "Kojirou" that old man.
Negative-Zer0 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 This patch is taking mad long. Must be polishing the game all round. Lets hope to GOD that IDJ isn't removed or I am done with Agito. I will prance straight back to Erika. If anyone is still playing the game.:-( I will try for a scene when the game is completed with netplay and all, hopefully a GGPO-styled netcode. New Character???? Edit: Since I haven't played the original game (Daibanchou - Big Bang Age), I think this "Kojirou" that old man. We've known about him for some time.
