  2. yes you can. but now it is harder to jump out of things that aren't mixups. meaning you have to actually, you know, use your brain to figure out which defensive option is best. i edited out a typo because i lovingly care about spelling but not proper capitalization.

  4. well one of the most important reasons this chang eis important is now you cant just up back without barrier, and if you do, theres an amount of human error involved (similar to 1f jumping out of a string in gg just much more lenient). tager really needs better lows more than anything though. seriously.

  7. if any of you complain about this change you have a horrible fundamental understanding of fighting games. period. they are nerfing a brainless defensive mechanism. straight up BBCS2 sounds like a way better game from these few subtle changes (game mechanics wise). not that it'll do anything about the horrible tech rolling/wakeup system, massive screen size and twenty minute long hitstop that makes combos take fifteen seconds that would take like seven in guitly gear.

  9. this system buff is pretty huge for tager because now blockstrings are now affected by mashing out instead of holding up back, i guess! also he was terrible at up backing because... guess what, he had the longest prejump in the gmame. edit:  テイガーの5Cが空ガ不能なのは恐ろしいですね this says something about tager? 5c not scary as anti-jump? cant really tell.
  10. you dont have an xbox. it is literally impossible for me to gather any practical knowledge without traveling 2-3 hours. i can't even practice basic punishes or baiting vs scrubs. i also have to deal with potential strong players picking a character i cannot get experience against. there is also a very large difference between a month and three months of practice with a character. i mean i doubt i'll have to play one, i even argued the dlc characters shouldn't be banned but that was also under the assumption you could play on online even if you didn't buy them. it's ore of an irritating deal than anything. then again i could just not enter blazblue which is a way better idea. i mean fuck, ic an play against makoto and had no matchup exp and beat that one guy but if i lost that would be entirely my fault. most people play on ps3 so yeah... i guess im just a minority in this situation and i wont enter the tournament if hes not available on xbox by like 2 weeks before the tournament. not trying to stir up drama or anything, make the rules how you want since i'm just an entrant, and i will or will not enter otherwise.
  11. kinda annoying that valk is legal despite the fact that i am literally incapable of playing against him due to my choice of console. edit: i dont care about him being playable if hes actually downloadable on xbox even within 2 weeks before the tourney by the way. unless hes super broke (he looks super broke).

  15. looks like: 6a has faster startup (p much same as first loketest but hasnt been mentioned in a while) Sledge Hammer Followup is Fatal Counter? edit: assuming the change to anti-projectile on sledge followup, that's actually a really interesting change vs litchi/tsubaki/noel, because they use proejctile based reversals. the fatal counter miiiiiiight be worth it.
  16. they arent very good. edit: unless b sledge is fast enough to be a true blockstring off his heavier attacks, those changes wont make tager remotely better.

  18. its no weird than 720 going active in super flash and all of its startup being pre-flash. this is how counter supers should always work, otherwise they are useless or useful for trolling.

  20. you realize spacing specific things that can only be hit by 5c's startup but requires 6a's pull in to land the collider will be impossible? or are you just. oh right. dustloop.com. edit: not to mention the anti-backdash hitconfirm it provides, along with providing maximum damage in combos, on top of being a good way to go into a ghetto mixup (3c, 6b, throw or jump pressure) off his best poke.. its a subtle nerf that really makes no sense really. its a nice tool in his arsenal that he could certainly enjoy use of... it wouldnt murder him but hes fucking horrible and its not like theres any reason why they'd nerf it that i cant hink of.
  21. 5c 6a chain makes certain (specific) combos possible... its pretty useful. its also a decent blockstring and good anti-backdash tagging.
  22. lol why did they remove 5c 6a?????????? i can understand the 5d change though, once you got magnetism it kind of made tager brainless for footsies/midrange...
