almost all the damage he took was from 50/50 mixups and tager being a bad character (a -> b getting instant blocked and punished or having no answer to an autoguard) in the dora matchup. saying "he ate crossups all day" is pretty dumb, and that matchup is horrible for all the illustrated reasons. he didnt take any risks to get in because doing so would endanger his lifebar of his own accord, that's not very intelligent play.

-8 is situationally safe, it's a really dumb argument regardless. Most characters will not have a way to punish a 5C assuming it was chained from 5B at it's max range. But you're at a frame disadvantage so you will lose a button pressing war unless you do something really dumb and unsafe. Basically committing to 5C ends your blockstring.
