  1. ...did one of my posts get deleted?
  2. i would imagine next week on saturday constitutes as this week, yes, especially since famitsu comes out on fridays.
  3. To elaborate: it's probably less effort to have Aksys back and forth with Arcsys japan on localizing, sinc eit just adds an uncessary step. if you have the translator work at arcsys, they can communicate with the programming team without having to deal with a cross ocean barrier, implementation is done 100% in house, and if there's a problem that arises, you can go straight to the engineering team directly instead of like, having to message them across the ocean. it just cuts out uncessary middlemanning that atkes up extra time.
  4. its less of a middle finger and more likely a resource issue. unless you mean they literally all lost their middle fingers, yakuza style, and are drawing and typing at 80% efficiency, in which case, sorry for misinterpreting your post.
  5. comments on the internet are universally filled with vitriol. dont use them as a judgment.
  6. depending on the situation yeah. ive seen it stop being used as such in videos but it at least seems to be a decent gambit and causes enemies to approach certain ways a little more cautiously i have seen it hit zato out of his pretty high jK at least twice.
  7. ICPM can be used after slidehead to get in and do a little extra damage, it also has a good hitbox above Pot, and I've seen him use it as a weird anti-air where heat knuckle, 2hsand 6p would whiff because the other person is high above him but not falling.
  8. Capcom is responsible for the oversight and design of SF4, which pins any bad decision making as their responsibility, BUT, this is getting off topic, and I think Combofiend improved the design decisions of Capcom immensily with how ultra turned out.
  9. because capcom is bad at video game design
  10. SF4 is popular because it designed around anti-frustration more than anything. The only things you need for an accessible competitive game are: Clarity:If you see a mechanic, you should know what it is. Every time. If you can't understand what's going on, then you won't understand what happened to you Basic actions should be easy: If you see a basic gameplay mechanic, you should be able to do it as a new player. This is one of the key reasons people stop playing fighting games. Anti-frustration design: If something is impedingly frustrating at low levels of play, nerf it. Otherwise people will drop off like flies. After that, you can make a mega complex behemoth of a game, as long as you follow those fundamental rules, it will be great competitively.
  11. nah, there were PILES of complains about ultras taking forever when sf4 came out. it was one of the biggest gripes everyone consistently had, just complaining about it these days is a waste of time since everyone's complained about it 100 times before.
  12. seriously, no balance changes? thats pretty lame...
  13. here's a really sad counterpoint: the blazblue series sold pretty competitively with marvel vs capcom 3 with arcsys doing pretty much nothing. imagine if they like, actually tried haha.
  14. i buy all my fighting games from a shady place in newark that marks them up like 10 bucks but sells them a week early this is because i definitely do not have a problem
  15. if xrd can run at 720p on a ps3 at 60fps if arcsys couldnt get it to run on 1080p on ps4 i would be ashamed of their software engineering team
  16. it's already been posted with more information, and by a site that doesn't plagiarize. The thing is, there's an inevitability of old characters returning, and I'd rather just wait the time it would take to develop most of them (save like roboky and os) and release them stateside so the game doesnt appear to be a regression of sorts in the roster.
  17. i would rather they wait until january so they have no competition, and be able to release 18 characters or something.
  18. johnnys playstyle also overlaps more with existing characters in xrd.
  19. boo hoo. 16 extremely diverse characters is more than plenty. its one thing to be upset that your main character didnt return, but whining about a completely reasonable cast number in the most balanced and diverse 2d fighting game series is such a waste. especially considering arcsys is a small to mid sized development company that seemingly lives game to game, with a relatively niche audience. even if GGXrd suddenly sells gangbusters, there's no prescendent for them to invest the kind of time and money it would take to push out 20 characters right now. 16 soon? sure, totally feasible. 18 by end of year? again, pushing it. 20 by end of year? it could be possible, sure, but getting your hopes up about that is pretty silly IMO, considering they also have to use their limited development resources to make console features (which are usually what sell copies). if xrd sells 500,000 copies with what they're putting out, arcsys will do alright. if they sell a million? good on them, but arcsys basically has to plan on GGXrd selling an OK amount based off previous game sales, budgeting development to cost any more than that investment is foolish. they cant burn money like capcom did with sfxt or anything. would i like more characters? absolutely. is it plausible to expect more than 16-18 on console release? no, not given arcsystems track record of sales.
  20. street fighter 4 i think we should have at least 16 before console though. 4 gg characters is way more gameplay variance than like, the entirety of sf4s current roster
  21. gonna guess we'll get the big news at TGS, im expecting the console version to come out in like december or something
  22. Engsegna YRC should still throw the bottle, but Johnny doesn't slash it. Would be a fun little thing Could make his next fire attack do more damage, like leveling up mist finer with coin.
  23. usually joniosan leave archives up for a day before taking them down. check the videos tab on his channel.
