  1. ive done hammer loop variant without fatal. From what i saw when playing with it in training mode, delay the first j.C right after super jump until she is at the peak of the jump, or almost to it, and if u can, also delay the 2nd j.C a bit. Every time i did otherwise i wouldnt get lvl 3, but after i started doing that i was getting it consistently. Maybe j.C slows her upward momentum or something so u end up lower by the time u do j.D and miss lvl 3.
  2. in both cases you are supposed to hit during the very last frames of the move so you recover faster with respect to their hitstun. For 6B that means doing it a bit away from the opponent, so it hits after she already traveled forward a bit. For 22C, its just something you have to learn to time by practice, if the enemy is teching before u can follow-up, do it earlier, repeat till you find the timing and get confortable with it.
  3. dont jinx it like that, cmon
  4. noticed front post still has no 214D starter combos midscreen. I was toying with these yesterday, trying to get more from them now. 214D->66A->j.2C->662B->6A->6C->214D(whiff)->66A->6B->5C->6C->w/e (4k-ish, more with 50 heat, there's also enough time to dash 6A even from full screen) 214D->5C->6C->63214[C]->6B->6A->j.2C->2B->5C->2C->j.C->j.2C->3C->w/e (5.1k-ish, only doable when close enough to corner that 63214C will bounce, have to hold C until target is low enough to connect 6B. You can alter the combo in several ways to end it with 6C or w/e else). Also something that i was playing around with (mostly for lulz): 623C(CH)->RC->IAD->j.C->j.2C->662B->5C->6C->w/e (1.4-1.7k, depending on what u do after 6C, midscreen) 623C(CH)->RC->6C->63214[C]->6B->6A->j.2C->3C (2.2k, close to corner) Its also possible to do 623C(CH)->RC->small wait->66A and 623C(CH)->RC->214D but i haven't gotten better dmg/consistency than the above with those, in case any1 wants to try.
  5. u mean having sex with Nine? like species difference has ever stopped the japanese before Joking aside, if you are referring to something in the phase-x novels, disregard this, but i don't believe it was ever even hinted that he can in the game.
  6. chances are nu is going to go back to normal and replace lambda. I had not thought about Saya replacing mu though, that would be pretty cool. Also the way noel's drive works makes a lot of sense, the concept itself is not wrong. It's just that like certain other things in the game, ASW still has no friggin clue how to balance it properly.
  7. it could be worse, u could be me i haven't improved a single bit fundamentals-wise since mid-CT no matter how much i've read, watched videos, drilled in practice mode, and played others. I estimate my win ratio vs people at that beautiful skill level where u actually learn u hold back to block to be close to 0% (and even against the remainder barely above 50%). And i don't only play noel, i still also play makoto, even if i am thinking of dropping her. U've got it way better than u think.
  8. first plat day: MAMI CIRCULAR!!!! i swear they were spamming that more than noel uses drive online. I dunno, im getting the feeling the scrub-base has been getting dumber every game. plat's pretty fun, she's making me tear my hair out on some combos, but overall pretty good.
  9. Reading the forums for strategies, knowing resets and optimal combos, reading frame data, and everything else mentioned here is sure nice to have, but the main reason for clamming up, too much autopilot, and the like is that you just lack experience. Knowing all of the info about the game inside and out matters extremely little if you don't have the savvy to adapt to situations on the fly. Experience is also not something u just get by playing 200+ fights, experience takes time to build up. If you are expecting to sit down and be a pro in a few weeks you are going to be severely disappointed. As hypocritical as this may sound given i've personally only been to a single offline tournament due to not having the time and how online is my main way to play BB, online is just not very good for learning to play the game seriously. Even if u had 6k games in the bag, the vast majority of those are practically no help due to lag, and a large part of the remainder isn't either since the average online player is not looking to improve and is content with abusing lag tactics, which just fosters bad habits on their opponents (you). If you honestly want to get good at the game, try to find an offline scene. If that is impossible, try to make one. If you can't be bothered to, get some players who u have a very good connection with and are also interested in improving, and play them, A LOT.
  10. dash under is valid, but the projectile flying over to the other side is not a cross-up. They don't have to switch block direction.
  11. nonono i got that part, i'm mostly asking whether u mean: -u have a chance to dash over them and cross-up, or -the thing flies over them and hits them from behind because if u mean the 2nd, its not really a cross-up.
  12. my advice is pretty much covered by the 2 previous posts. At first, don't worry much about "returning fire", concentrate on just escaping the blockstrings. Proper use of barrier block and IB will let you escape pressure and return the fight to neutral, which u can then turn into your own offensive (or get sent back into defensive, but hey, shit happens). The art of "firing back" depends largely on you having a feel for your moves and your opponent's (which pretty much means every character). This inevitably takes quite a bit of practice and also luck on your part, you need to know which of your moves are better to use in certain situations (A attacks are always a safe bet being fast, though sometimes u can sneak something in with better proration), and how/when the opponent's character can make that situation for you while applying pressure. Reading patterns into your opponent's offense also helps a lot, like if they have a tendency to overuse slow moves like overheads. In short, learn to walk before u try to sprint. Also if running away is not your thing, then lambda may not be the best choice for u, seeing as running away is one of her main things. If u preffer a more direct approach, then you would probably be better off focusing more on plat.
  13. thats pretty damn good, i'd say it's a work of ...excellence bad pun
  14. may be a dumb question but... how so?
  15. there are OSs in BB, i remember there being one for hazama in CS1 with jayoku in corner, and given the moves involved didnt change much, its probably still doable.
  16. damn it!!!! cannot unsee!!
  17. Usual reason for that to happen is that you are autopiloting ALL the time, so whenever a hit goes in, you autopilot into the most familiar combo on reflex. So stop doing that, try to be as aware as you can of what you are doing and plan moves ahead of time. Don't just spontaneously go "i'll use move X", cuz if it hits and you dont have a wagonload of experience backing u up, you won't react optimally. Plan moves ahead of time, so if one hits you already have a follow-up in mind. Only when you have a lot of experience, muscle memory, and a good reaction time, should u spontaneously throw stuff out. For added incentive, do what i do. Whenever i do a combo when i know a better one, i just stop pressing buttons as soon as i notice and until i get hit. Or punish yourself in some other way you find fitting.
  18. werent people bitching about how he won so little not too long ago?
  19. well fawk, won't be able to join in on the fun for a while then. Guess ill go back to spamming my way through 000 >_>
  20. That is pretty damn good. For some reason, closed top looks waaaaay better than open.
  21. I've been getting the same feeling. This looks very good, but i can't shake the feeling that it's going to be overlooked by many players.
  22. Here's how feral chaos fight went for me: 1- Tifa goes in, dies after dealing a pixel of dmg 2- Lightnight goes in, gets 2 pixels off his bar 3- yuna goes in, i was giving up so i just spammed ixion's HP attack for the lulz. 4- chaos dies to my full health yuna. i see chaos is still very easily cheaped out, even when feral
  23. why so gdlk?
  24. mmmh, they made kagari's voice more human. Could have been the vid quality, but before, she sounded very robotic. And huzzah for special intros, though seeing the guy who seemed to be the more serious kung fu type going all moe over the magical loli is a little weird.
