my friend just does 3c 22c until I want to kill something because it goes through J-anything, DP's will miss, and effectively you have to use 2b or 3c because 2c is slow. it pisses me off so much. I try it barrier and punish with 2D however... he just does 3c and knocks me over. when ever I can go for standing attacks he can beat me out with... anything, because anything vs. Jin's 5C anything will win. though I've gotten better at beating the shit out of him

... or you could learn how many slashes each C does and time it... or watch the combo meter, though that's risky because you may have hit it to many times... but whatever works, it works

maybe you're C mashing to much or to little... I don't know though

good point... it'll also help if they have a move that you need to learn, like tager 720's or Noel's flashkick... thingy

you don't have to play alot of characters... but you should try to play more than 1... so a main and a sub... you don't have to play all the characters, just the ones you want to play.

oh... the attack part of the counterattack... that makes more sense. I didn't think of that... I thought that it would go through ID or is that only the 1st frame activation? -
I'm not trying to argue on the advice, I'm arguing the thought "you have to play to win". you seem to conguse "I don't play to win" with "I play to use" your advice is undoubtably helpful and I will remember it... but if I can win with my style I feel like that's a true victory... as for not using 236D... I try not use it as a combo finisher more as a setup into another part of the combo... I apologize for my rude behavior and thank you for the advice

the first part is I want to get better and the advice helps me to get better and then I can more effectively play my way... to tired to explain... the second part is not true... generally any time you can ice car in a combo you can 236D and if you do it right it extends your combo.

well the point of a game is to have fun... if winning is fun for you then good for you, but I've lost battles that I loved because I felt that I played my best against someone of similar level, and at that point of fighting a opponent that is an equal, is my favorite fight win or lose. especially if they are like me and try not to play like other people. also

if it doesn't waste your time could someone try doin 2C>J2C>JD>236C>airdah>JB>J(2)C>JD... or do a variant I mostly want to hear about a combo with the J236C> airdash thing. I see glimpses of it in videos but I want to know about a combo not in a blockstring

we've moved on... but I do know my BnB's I just dropped the entire beggining 6c stuff because I thought it looked cool to air combo off 236D... I don't play to win, if you haven't figured it out

so it's simpler than I thought, people were talking about it like it was something you had to manually do. sorry for being stupid. EDIT: people keep saying 5D is now really bad, so what changed with it?

yeah generally anytime you can fit in one of his DP's you can usually follow-up with a combo

when you say 236A do you mean hit them with it and catch them when it delays their fall?

^ add-on question: what are some attacks that link after his new J.C? I know 2D does on counter (which is still awesome to see)

I don't think it got better directly... because everyone except a few characters got weaker damage wise, so he can maintain a higher health in theory... unless you fight Hakumen, Tager, or another Ragna, they do murderous damage in comparision

I find he hits to slow... but whatever. by the way that popsicle thing wouldn't work... because the human body is 2/3 water and water expands when it freezes so... yeah. (that means your body will hit critical mass and turn you into gore popcorn). I also notice that Tager overlooks this in his preaching of science... did I just apply science to a videogame? I fail -
actually a lot of times when I try to jump barrier block an air attack I wind up grabbing the enemy which is always funny.

sorry to bother but... I was practicing a combo:5B(2)>5C>JB>JC>JD>236D>dash>JB>JC>JC214B and found that 214B doesn't combo cleanly and becomes techable after the second JC. so is there another attack I can use instead (besides throw)? I'm probably going to use JB>JC>JB>JC(>JD if it fits in) if there's no other alternative.
