  1. rage induced keyboard mashing Litchi and Bang being top tier infuriates me..... Ragna being top tier I see as
  2. .............................................................lol Litchi... getting in close..... no..... she's going to beat the shit out of your guard with her staff and sit there and drink lemonade, or she can be serious and attack with the staff essentially making you wait for a gap in pressure (hint: there isn't one) even if you see one, you'll try to take advantage, then you eat shit from a staff up arse. the best part? trying to get on the offense and you'll still have to deal with that FUCKING STAFF, or get DP'd and have to deal with more bullshit.... no Litchi doesn't have to take risks unless she tries to handicap herself and fight without her stripper pole for support. /ENDRAGE EDIT: sorry, just have horrible memories about fighting Litchi.
  3. ..........
  4. actually I saw a Rachael vs Bang where Rachael won.
  5. they're the exact same spot, they share it
  6. sadly not.... though I do visit the site

  7. this..... well the last 2 sentences...
  8. speaking of which, when did he become a mod? today?
  9. but I just did a quick check and he was a different color, after looking at it again it's the same color different shade... sorry Axis....
  10. the chart puts arakune at high b tier, so he's high mid tier.... Jin (and Tsubaki) are at mid B tier and are mid-mid tier, and Noel is low mid tier, Tager is B-/C tier and Rachael is... yeah....
  11. well... Tager is essentially a massive hitbox.... Tager can take your pressure all day with ease. Zoning him is still a good option, also being airborne makes it hard for him, since he has so few anti air options. Watch his spark bolt meter, seriously that shit is annoying. try not to be to close to him, and especially don't be punishable, even a slight opportunity and he can 360 you, not good. also of note sledge can go through ALL your ice attacks, so those are out at close range, except in block strings. also your old 5C>JB>JC>JD>lol still works on Tager, maybe try it as a blockstring (JB>J2C>JD>236C>airdash>JB>J2C>JD)note: I haven't tried this one so don't try it in a serious fight... until you confirm it works. though if someone thinks I'm wrong please correct me, preferably nicely.
  12. mid-mid tier. not low tier.
  13. sadly the inverse can be true..... >_>
  14. same with Jin...... we got.... Dennou (unless he did switch to Bang...), Ren, Konan.... and uhhhhh......
  15. and Sol's giving him the thumbs up!
  16. wtf? IIRC Rachael was always top... I can't remember if Ara was 2 and Nu was 3 or if Nu was 2 and Ara was 3...
  17. I must now add another fail to my (long) list of failures.
  18. I think they took the picture in front of a mirror.... or you're joking and I can't tell...
  19. in that case yes, Johnny is a good character to learn, because he looks (and fights) badass; yes it will take forever to learn him but if it means you can do this then it's worth it, if you have the patience. If you play him because he looks cool, then you probably don't care how long it takes. Playing a character on aesthetics then it's a bit of a raffle, but if you're determined to learn him then go. in the end, the difficulty of playing a character only matters in proportion to how determined you are to learn (for example: I thought Eddie and Testament looked pretty cool, but I didn't care enough to learn how to play them, I thought Johnny looked cool and I am still trying to not be failtastic as him... same with HOS). Sure you can learn the easiest character, but if it's not the character you want to play, then you've already limited yourself. just be content to learn the character.
  20. I disagree with the Johnny (atleast in AC) being easy... sort of... his damage is heavily based on his coins (which are limited), and throwing them out randomly (like nubs do) will have screwed fast.... and sure using mist can be easy for combo... if you've ever seen a video with Johnny playing effectivel... well, it's tough to combo (effectively) with him. Having no run is hard to get used to. That being said... most of his normals are cancellable in some form, and the fact that his mist (236P) thing makes his mist unblockable which is cool. In short you have to be determined to play Johnny, unlike some other tough characters, you don't have to multitask or other stuff, the thing that makes him tough is his spacing, timing, and general prerequisites for his combos. The other problem with learning JO is that he's overall to reliant a lot of things (throws, having lvl 2 mist finer, etc.), and while I won't say you're wrong, I will say that, again, you have to be determined to play Johnny. Also regarding GG and BB... while I wouldn't say they are very similar, BB is probably the closest game to GG out.
  21. I'll add on to some ky stuff: he's pretty lenient on spacing, timing, and character specific combos... for his basic combos... the SE FRC, orb combo, and VT loop (especially VT loop) are pretty specific, 236K also counts to a lesser extent; However, his basic stuff doesn't net much damage; Ky can get big damage (seriously).... the enemy just has to be in the corner.... and you have full tension..... and you've mastered FRC's (not just timing but things like dashing after FRC, comboing/buffering FRC... etc)....so, uhh, okay so getting alot of damage with Ky is tough... but he's got some good gatlings (I swear everything leads to 2D or 5H). The big problem with Ky though is that if you don't have tension you don't have alot options. if some of this is inaccurate, sorry. If you correct me... please be gentle.
  22. so it wasn't just me. the problem I had was she just put me in lockdown.... except unlike the other characters who could do that, she wasn't terrible a melee. I couldn't attack her, because she just brings the staff back and I'm on defensive for the rest of the match.... then I screw up and eat a long combo, and it's back to square one.... She's the only character I've ever considered turning down a challenge from... that staff just travels around the field and.... and... Q_Q
  23. the differences are... well, I'll try to be neutral. So the OTG system is different, GG has a weight system, FRC's, pin point precise timing, spacing based combos (ie if your attack is off by a frame, you messed up the combo; hyperbole), and generally the untechable frames are longer, damage that averages out to around 60% for the cast, dust, no ground techs, and a lot more options/combos for 1 situation, I could go on. Basically BB is more forgiving but is less.... satisfying I guess? but if you're transitioning from BB to GG... basically get faster at everything you did, faster hit confirm, faster combos, etc. Finally I disagree on the character design part, but that's generational dissonance.
  24. well. there are a few... and your unlikely to get in them..... but if your in them either (severe corner rape, you have a character with no reversals, don't have 50 heat, no burst, no barrier, and a simaltaneous high-low attack by way of a Litchi, and your guard broke.) A. the other guy is really good. B. you've failed the round. such as the example.... because it's really hard to get in these situations. of course that's knit picking.
  25. honestly, I can't hate Ragna... not just because he's my sub, but because... well... he's almost like the "don't stop believing" of the BB cast, we all know how it goes, it always attracts attentions, and we all love it. So when people rage about Ragna it leaves me confused, his matchups aren't as 1 sided as Bangs or Litchi... though I guess it comes from the tier placement... like what happened to Jin....
