  1. A glide throw is preformed by using a move the makes the character fall to the ground (Carl's j.2C, Litchi's j.2D, etc.) and kara-canceling into a throw during this move. By doing this the character will quickly fly toward the ground while whiffing a throw, but still keeping the momentum of an air-dash. These are useful because they allow you to fall faster and lower to the ground, so you're safer form getting Anti-Aired. Platinum can do this when she has the Hammer equipped by doing IAD > j.D~B+C.
  2. I'm not gonna' lie, that trailer got me EXTREMELY hype... Julia and Hwoarang look awesome as well as Cammy. I might be interested in this now.
  3. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10527-Platinum-F.A.Q-Thread That should have been asked there. One more thing: Lambda's Sickle can't be jumped out of on wake-up so don't try to be risky and jump out. Act Parser C (236C) is also unsafe on block, so you can 5C > Damage > Oki > Profit. I'll start adding stuff to the first post once I feel we have good enough information.
  4. Use IAD > Swallow Moon > Barrier against 6D happy Lambda's to lose your momentum. Let it go to fall to the ground and try to make an approach. The Hammer is also good for this because of the glide throw, it helps her get through swords. Stay on the ground a good bit so you can IB > Mami, but you have to keep that at a minimum because they'll start to bait it.
  5. IAD > Swallow Moon > Cancel Into Barrier is amazing.
  6. BD is considered to be a remake of SC4 because there was a lot of balancing done to it.
  7. You want to hit them with the end frames of 22C, so after you do 6C try to do 22C as soon as you can without it completely whiffing.
  8. Gameplay looks AMAZING. It's as fast as the old games (From what it looks) and the step game is extremely large. (Hello SC2?) It looks like Soul Charge is back as well. I am now officially hype. Oh yeah, Patroklos and Pyrrha aren't copy pastes of both sisters. They seem to play like both sisters combined, but in different ways. So Pat isn't more Sophie than Pyrrha it seems, but instead they share a equal amount from Sophie and Cassy. EDIT: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2011-soul-calibur/714560
  9. Heck yeah man, I'm rank 2 in the PSN Plat boards!
  10. Yeah Tsubaki is a pain in the ass, but I don't have as much trouble with her or Ragna than I do vs. Jin.
  11. The match-up section already is fully open...
  12. Awesome, this will be a great addition. However, I can not add the 4th video (Air Combo 2) unless you re-upload it with all three hits of j.236A connecting. Otherwise, this is nice.
  13. Now that I have Platinum I'm going to test out every combo in the combo thread and update it with damage and Heat gain values. So expect a update soon.
  14. You have to keep refreshing the store until you can get in. She won't show up in the BB only store until ASW updates it themselves.
  15. I'd like to make a small suggestion. I think we should have a like feature, so people could like posts. I've noticed a couple of forums do this and I think it might be kind of fun, if possible.
  16. Using 6D, 2D, j.6D and j.2D are the best ways to keep Hakumen out. Since the Steins shoot slower this time it's easy to confuse them by placing one or two, using 236D then waiting for it to end then place a few more Steins. From my experience against many, MANY Hakumen's they'll either sit because they think 236D is still going or they'll try to jump out j.C/j.D. So use your 5C and 6C when approaching to keep them at a safe distance. Use empty jumps when up close, this will confuse the Hakumen into thinking your going to use j.C or j.B and they'll try to counter, then you get a free combo. Don't think they'll always do this though, eventually they'll catch on so keep it mixed up. IAD > j.D is also good for confusing the other player, most Mu's tend to get very IAD > j.C friendly and eat a AA or a counter. Using j.D during an IAD will stop her mid-air and then she'll fall at a angle (like a Glide Throw) allowing you to confuse the player with your IAD's. To me I think this matchup is all about trickery with the Steins and using momentum to your advantage. This matchup is really fun and I'll continue to post my findings.
  17. Guys, we really have to get the video tutorial stuff put together. CS2 is out now, Platinum is coming to PSN soon and I think Spirit Juice wants to get the guides finished soon...
  18. Oh, that's community guide. Each character is getting a video tutorial on their basics, like how to use their normals, how to spend meter, defensive options, viable combos, etc. It's up to everyone to help out and contribute, but LK is in charge of putting all the Litchi information together.
  19. Heh. My next video is going to show combos that lead into Oki, then the next video will be actual Oki setups. I might do a video on pressure and mixup as well, that's all very situational though.
  20. Already posted the one I had Jourdal upload. (Same one) Thanks though, I'm glad you liked it!
  21. Plasma is the ugliest thing I have ever seen... But I have to admit, kicks that cut the air and create a void is kind of awesome.
  22. Record your daily matches and put them into playlist, that way we can take a look at them and you won't have to wait for us to fight you.
  23. Is using 236236C as a OS in the corner (214214C+B= Barrier if they don't roll out, 236236C if they do) worth the meter?
  24. (Corner) CH 2D > 41236S > 5K > HCL > FRC > IAD > j.S > VCL > c.5S > VCL > FRC > IAD > j.S > VCL > c.5S > VCL > 2K > c.5S > HCL > FRC > IAD > j.S > VCL > 2D > HCL
  25. I hope to God they don't make him do that super model win pose again. Walking towards the screen swaying his hips moving his shoulders up and down with his hand on his hip, turning around and bobbing his head at the screen. He was such a faggot because of that win pose. XD
