When I land a 5C > Mami or just a raw Mami in the corner I do: (5C >) Mami > 5C > 2C > 214C > (Walk Bak) 6C > 22C > 6A > 22C > 5C > Air Combo 1/6A > 236B, which does almost 6K if I remember correctly, whether or not I go for Oki all depends on the person I'm fighting and the situation.

Items are very important in this matchup, because of Platinum's floaty nature and lack of quick movement, getting past full screen sword can be a problem. Missiles aren't useless what-so-ever, they guarantee that they will clash with one of her swords, and if Lambda tries to move then she has to deal with one of the Missiles flying at her, so then you get a free rushdown. Bombs serve the purpose of keeping Lambda from throwing stupid stuff out, because Bombs can't be destroyed by Lambda's swords she's forced to try and block/move away from them, you might get hit, but it the launch from a Bomb will put you on top. Overall, she can deal with her good without the items, but that's only under certain circumstances, you'll more than likely want an item to help you with all the troubles you'll have when it comes to closing the gap. (Mami Circular is NOT an approach option)

She has no 4B, but 4B guarantees that you will get 5B. Some people when doing 66 > 5B, they get 66 > 6B, so by doing 66 > 4B, you will ALWAYS get 66 > 5B, make sense?
-
It's all done by eye, most of the time you only need her to take about 3 or 4 steps.
-
She didn't get a nerf, she got a buff to her throw. She recovers faster after her ground throw.
-
No, it's recommended to keep practicing. Frame data isn't going to help your execution, only practice and constant playing will.

>_> Go to SRK and say that please.

LOL Voldo's crotch piece is an upside down face! XD He actually looks rather cool, they based his entire design off of spiders and put a little spider emblem on his chest, made his straps look like a spider web, his helmet is 8 spider legs wrapping around his face and he has his eyes exposed in this one. Overall, besides SC3's alt costume, this is probably the best Voldo yet IMO.

What I mean is if you do 5B > Staff Recall > Dash > 5B you can be 5A'd out of it, but there are cases like 3C > Staff Recall > 5A where it isn't possible. That's where the "Can be risky" aspect of it comes into play. I always use staff recall during pressure because it's so safe, but only if you use the safe options.
-
Using staff recall during pressure can be risky because she can be mashed out of any move you do after following the staff return up (Except for block) but it's definitely the best way to pressure because she gets resetable gatlings and more mixup as well as new ways to tick throw and making certain moves safe.
-
You can't followup Chun with a staff recall like that unless you are already recalling the staff and are holding it.
-
Well, if it's like it was in CS2, then those combos will either do extremely low damage, or they'll just tech halfway through it. The Itsuu combos like that were really high in proration.
-
Given the increase to the Staff return hitstun, I'm sure we'll be doing stuff like 5B > 6B > 5C > 2C > 6C(1) > 4Kote > 5D > j.BC > Staff 2 > 6C(1) > Tsubame, etc.
-
Platinum buffs all sound GDLK, and if 6C still juggles airborne opponents then we don't have to worry about losing any combo routes like 6C > 22C! I freakin' love this. :3
-
The translations say that she can only do j.B and j.C once per jump, can we double jump and do it again? Uncertain.
-
I was just thinking that the 6C no longer "floats" change might be referring to Platinum herself, maybe she just falls to the ground as soon as it's finished?
-
Eh, still, asking about the same move's properties like 4 times is useless. So, she's no longer able to combo off her forward throw unless she's in the corner... So I assume she either can't move in time or they spin too far away now? Interesting change, I bet it looks hilarious.
-
Just wait and see, I don't mean to be a douche but you are seriously cluttering up this thread.
-
Well, again, it's ONLY the follow-up Chun (Meaning you need to connect Haku or Hatsu first) so it probably forces them to the ground then they spin.
-
Ha ha, me too, the loop is boring and repetitive. The only thing I liked about it was the button presses, the rhythm is fun. All I want is Itsuu back, I miss it.
-
j.B and j.C only being used once per jump kills pretty much EVERY combo she has now, the Chun change could be okay since you could end combos on the ground with 3C/6C(2), but it might cause problems when hitting the person in the air with it because you might not be able to followup the combo. But, all speculation of course though. I'm hype for changes!
-
Yes, that's exactly what you want to do. =)
-
Extremely important, it's her best corner carrying combo without the staff and it's the only way to get good damage mid-screen. It's her main BnB for when she's staffless, so you're gonna' have to learn it! If you're having trouble watch the guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUXGgUBT6Sk

It works on everyone, but some characters require you to dash in deeper because of hitboxes. Like for Carl you can hit 2A at the beginning of his tech animation and you'll still get the cross-under, but for Tager you need to wait until he's at the highest part of his tech animation in order to slide underneath him, otherwise you won't cross up.

Updated the Mid-Screen and Close to Corner combo sections with Combos From C Moves, let me know if you see any mistakes!
