About the airthrow thing, it's really pretty character specific. In MBAACC a lot of airthrows got their untech time nerfed etc so they're not nearly as universal as in MBAA(where it was probably close to 90/95% of chars targetting airthrow) They are a pretty decent target though for "tough" confirms, since they'll add a decent chunk of damage to an unprorated combo, so you'll see them a decent amount. Anyways a lot of characters have pretty similar combo structures(whatever -> launch jbc jbc ender). Two of the chars off the top of my head with pretty "different" combo structures are: C-Satsuki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV3V4Xjd0UA C-Kohaku http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIffDdS9O-w But YES a lot of combos are pretty homogeneous, but given the size of the cast x3 it'd me pretty hard to make each char have entirely unique combos.

Hey guys, I'm working on something entirely new for this combo thread talking about combo routes and optimizing damage, but I just wanted to leave this combo here to help some people with their punishes. vs Mitsuru after blocking a DP you can buffer 5B and CH her before she lands. This stops her from being able to bufudyne! Before I used to use a pretty suboptimal combo in these situations, but here's some big damage: 5B 5C 236B 5B 5C j.C dj.BB j8D -> (AoA oki ender or 236B~236B 214C 236236D damage ender) This combo is also really useful against Narukami! Dash under his blocked DP and 5B him before he lands if he is in awakening mode, otherwise he can cancel the DP in to Cross Slash on the ground and hit you from behind. It's a little harder on Mitsuru to get the height right, but know that you have a lot of time after the CH 5B to confirm 5C's height.

Just posting up here to let people know that GA Persona etc still lives. We don't really use this thread, but if anyone stumbles across it make a post here or send me a PM and we'll get you in on some games sometime for sure

Credit where credit is due. Big E tournaments are too godlike!

Way to double my hype. Go ahead and bump my previous post from "maybe" to "definitely"
-
Whoa. This is pretty crazy for Persona. I'm strongly considering coming back to Philly
-
the arm has a hype as shit burst bait we talked about at nec, get hype he'll probably post about it later

Volpe with that mind-reading tech. Just try to set yourself up in a win-win situation and don't go along with anything that might backfire...
-
Urichinan, I would advise you just to be straightforward with them. You could say something along the lines of "I've heard a lot of rumors but I'm willing to give you guys a chance, but I'm not really in a financial situation where I can take a lot of risks. I hope you guys can understand but I won't be able to follow through on anything unless I'm able to hold concrete proof of payment etc" (basically get your self sponsored up front) If they're gonna be shady they'll just turn that shit down, and if they pay for you to go somewhere and then later don't... you go to the first event and then just stay home for the second one.
-
I should be if I can work the bus system, otherwise I dunno how I'm getting there. Maybe taxipool. I'll be pretty easy to spot since my hitbox is actually working for this tournament!

Whoa, somehow I missed this post. Chie doesn't have a lot of good anti-airs honestly. If you can't jab someone out of the air try using j.A to stick out a normal faster than theirs. 2B is an okay anti air against some moves or if they're scared to press a button. I have a lot of stuff coming as far as content but I've been really busy with life and getting ready for NEC. I should have time after NEC for sure.
