  3. IK activate like a man
  4. Note that most of the time you see "unblockables" blocked, it's usually mistimed slightly by the person doing it. It's not really practical to switch your block perfectly after guessing right on the first hit correctly.
  5. Despite the message on arcadia's site about emailing them to purchase out of Japan, I e-mailed and they responded that they do infact only sell to Japanese residents :[
  6. I saw that Maruken's team had taken out Shounen's first round and knew that it had to have been that I'll be avoiding this thread because of spoilers now.
  7. thanks for posting, and adding the hq tag ;o
  8. omg I thought caer was going to win that for sure T_T nice commentary. BA vs PO T_T
  9. I undeleted poscrub's posts which had explained it
  10. I sent them an email about buying that and the DF dvd, hopefully there is a way better than faxing them my CC info :|
  11. I wish they released them pay to download or something :[
  12. Looking forward to it. ;D
  13. I was going to say, are you sure that those combos are more than ad mat -> corner loop?
  14. Style points > damage points. YZN FRC is the best move she has.
  15. I prefer youzansen air dash mat ;o
  16. Looks like it's still up at ttp://big.freett.com/misao18999/01.zip
  17. Yeah, with Isa's switch 012 is likely the most solid Sol. As for simply best Sol, kusoru wins free, style points are over 9000.
  18. You can't combo mat into j.S without FRCing the mat, you can only combo to j.P or j.K (not really used) without it. Against Baiken, you can't connect it without an FRC. Against Dizzy, May, and Bridget (off the top of my head), you need to delay your mat slightly after 2D to make them just low enough for a superjump j.P to connect. In most case, you want to superjump j.P for the combo, although the superjump isn't required against the heavier characters and larger hitboxes. If you're too far away horizontally, the combo will whiff. Often times you need forward velocity to connect the combo. Without forward velocity, you want to go into 5S jc j.D vs taller characters, 2K 5S and confirm into a tatami mat if they are crouching, or just finish the combo going to 2S if they're too short/far/standing. If you're too far to connect a j.P, you can always get the combo after tatami if you FRC the tatami. Read this if you haven't.
  19. Hold up after doing 5D, his j.S as soon as possible, and then j.HS as soon as possible following that. Continue holding up until you hit the third hit j.S, then let go and hit j.D, you should follow them with no recoil from the j.D. Just to confirm- you are talking about Accent Core? Baiken's old dust combos are different.
  20. From midscreen: It depends completely on how much tension you have, whether they have a burst, how much life they have, etc. In general, you want to use 6HS -> j.SD or j.D and while doing this decide if you want to blow tension for the airdash tatami. As for ending in j.SPK jc j.S whatever, the ONLY case you would ever do that is if you had no tension and they had no life, otherwise you always want to take the knockdown or relaunch combo (which leads to knockdown). Generally, if I only have 25%, I'll blow the tension for relaunch or low corner j.SD, and then mixup from there without tension. If I have 50%, I'll take the knockdown, low iad mat and use broken corner 50% mixup. At 75%, i'll relaunch for the extra damage, and then go into 50% mixup, same with 100%. I don't think it's ever worth blowing more than 25% after youshijin ever unless it'll kill them, since the proration is so bad. Closer to the corner, I just go into 1 rep of her dustloop with no tension. Note that if they have burst, if you do the 6HS early enough you can avoid it due to the high invincibility. The best way to bait it though is just wait for them to come down while watching for it, then use c.5S or 5P, into j.D FRC or j.P. Most better players know not to bother bursting after a youshijin because of it's proration, if they're wasting it there it's probably better for Baiken.
  21. It's throw invulnerable.
  22. Noooo you had that You were playing so well those first two rounds! Damn testament! Sucks that you guys played each other so early though, I would have expected you to be seeded from each other. Also, I think youzansen FRC should be banned from all tournaments from now on :o Nice to see slashback being used to clear webs, I haven't played with it much myself.
  23. Thanks for the update! Also, don't forget to add &fmt=18 onto the ends of youtube links for higher quality, helps a lot for match videos imo :o
  24. Holy shit, I am very impressed! Awaiting more videos :3 Damn, I thought Nehle had that first game and the whole set for sure, looks like tourney nerves got to him Xzi vs Coungster was too exciting. Did anything besides tourney get recorded?
  25. oh shit upset! in for videos how many entered?
