Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel
SoWL replied to ivanchu77's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Because she has to be everywhere. Even on the title screen. Some more stealth updates on the website. First, the chibis in the system rundown: http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/system/system1.html And the publicity page in case you missed all the news reports: http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/publicity.html Found two more write-ups on Mora and Ruili, but it's getting late, so I won't translate them until tomorrow. For now, here you go: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s295/sh/847371b4-73f0-430a-8477-0e898fc3034d/fc3d87ecf8fca85cb8b02dea68625eda http://blog.livedoor.jp/fiotanlove/archives/51912948.html Even though al seems to be everywhere, there isn't that much info on her. Well, she's simple, so it's okay. At the very least, I learned that Mirror of Nitocris is performed with 22A/B/C, and that Atlach-Nacha is an unblockable trap, not a throw. I also found some Ein combos and figured I should transcribe them, since they sound cool: 2A 2B 2C 623B(1) Aoi c.B f.B 2C 623B(2) 236AB (deals 6700 damage and costs 1 bar, but you get it from using Aoi as RC) 2A 2B 2C 214A Miyuki j.B j.C j.B j.C 214AB (about 5000 damage, costs 1 bar for the ender) 2A 2B 2C 214A Kaigen 236236BC (the damage from the LB is prorated to around 7000, so use it only when you want to style on people) And the quote of the day: https://twitter.com/KiryuYuki1011/status/590133852913344512 -
AFAIK, you just move the cursor with the directional inputs.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel
SoWL replied to ivanchu77's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Okay, I don't think there is going to be much more info from now on, so I'll post my findings for today. - First, the remaining LBs. Ruili's LB allows her to combo her supers together, and since it turns the power gauge into a timer, I assume that she also has infinite meter while it's active (and it's active for a while). Mugen, anyone? - Muramasa's Railgun Magatsu works exactly as you'd expect it to. After charging for a while, it shoots over the entire screen in an instant, dealing lots of damage. It's very easy to confirm into, especially after a launcher or a wall-slam. Anna must die, no mercy. Then we have an elaborate Ignis summary, courtesy of @k_moeden: https://twitter.com/k_moeden - Very long normals, charge move is invulnerable to projectiles, has some traps (and projectiles of her own, but those are pretty weak). - The trap makes an arrow fly out when triggered, but it can miss; the trajectory might depend on the button pressed? Since the trap doesn't have the C option in the official list, 421C might be manual activation. - The charge move has some good speed and hitboxes on it, so it can probably be used in combos, too. Don't forget about its invulnerability if you're fighting her as a projectile-heavy character. However, the invuls only last until the active frames, so you have to be patient and not use it too soon. The traveling distance changes with the button pressed, increasing from A to C (and it feels that the same goes for the start-up). You can press the C button for a follow-up attack (A doesn't do anything, and B just wasn't tested). - f.B is pretty long, hitting Al at the round start as she was trying to shoot her projectile. Though it might actually whiff if they don't do anything. Also, because it does not combo into 5C at the very tip, you have to confirm it into the charge at that range, which sucks if you're not used to charge characters. - Behold, the aerial normals. j.B's hitbox is really good, so it's probably your go-to aerial normal. - She has a super-fireball of questionable use. She might not even need it, since the 646 super is so good. It might not be as good as Ein's, but it covers more range and is probably faster. Not sure if it has any invulnerability. If you're in the Blast state, you can probably connect it after a roll cancel. - Variable Rush might be unblockable on first hit, but since there isn't that much Ignis info, it might just be an overhead. The LB covers the whole screen; the start-up is quite long, but it might have some super-freeze to let you combo into it. - The throw slams the enemy down right before you, bouncing them off the ground. You can easily follow it up in the corner, but you'll have to roll-cancel it in mid-screen to follow it up. So, after reading this, I can understand why she's considered to be as strong as Al and Ein: she counters their projectiles hard. And though Al has a lot of other good points (with no downsides to speak of), Ein suffers quite a bit without her gunfire. And that's it until more characters (or videos) are released, I suppose. I will probably make a Muramasa album in the near future, or at least translate another summary I found that's dedicated to her. -
Man, he feels like a mix of different fighting games: Parasoul's tears, Flash Kick and Tatsumaki, and even MB/UNIEL-like freestyle combos. Not to mention that he has four different unique mechanics, all of which actually make sense together. I won't get off Hisako for him, but I must admit, he has the best personality out of all characters by far.

The main visual is here! http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/ キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!!! Twitter didn't give much new info since my last post, but something happened on day 2, and Ignis is now rated above Al and Ein (or at least on the same level) by most people. The general consensus seems to be that the key to being a good character is having good projectiles, but then again, it might be because most people are not used to the anti-projectile system mechanics yet. -
A whole lot of videos and long descriptions for each character: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201504/17076846.html Might take a jab at translating it if no one else does by tomorrow.

Didn't they accept fan contributions to translations? They are a small team, after all, and most of them are Korean, so some weird language had to slip through the cracks. Just tell them what to fix, and they will.

Yeah, you're a bit late with that. Can't blame you though, no one posted a direct link to it. While no one was looking, the website updated with everyone's movelists and some new portraits. http://www.examu.co.jp/nitroplus_blasterz/character/chara00.html First, everyone's LBs: Ein: GEPARD-M1 Al: Lemuria Impact Mora: Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust Ruili: Ranryouou (Lan Ling Wang) Saya: Song of Saya Muramasa: Railgun "Magatsu" Okay, that wasn't too hard at all. Now for Anna and Ignis. Anna: Fodere (Pierce): [4]6A/B/C Sectio (Cut): 623A/B/C Remedium (Aid): (j)63214A/B/C Lucere (Shine): (j)236A+B Danza Macabra (Dance of Death): 236236B+C (Best track ever) Ignis: Hisatsu: Getsuga (Fly Kill: Moon Fang): (j)236A/B/C Ansatsu: Kokushi (Assassination: Black Arrow): (j)421A/B Bokusatsu: Funkotsu (Beatdown: Bone Flour): [4]6A/B/C Zansatsu: Glamdring (Murder: Foe-Hammer): 646A+B Most Noble Blade "Anor": 236236B+C EDIT: Some nice info from @The_Roadroller: https://twitter.com/The_Roadroller/status/589015914810478593/photo/1 - Al's LB hits right before her and can be blocked (similar to Mora's?). - Ruili's LB is a power-up that turns her Power gauge into a timer. Need more time to understand it, she just does its animation and that's it. - Totally forgot about it, but Muramasa's web pull is called "Steel Flytrap Net", and it's performed with 214A/B/C. Also, Enchant Minus disappeared from the move list, but it's been missing some supers from the very beginning. - Anna is a shooting character with a Sonic Boom motion instead of the regular Hadoken. Her DP makes her jump and fall down with a sword swing (like in Nitro Royale). Ground dash is similar to I-No's. Her C normals (both ground and aerial) are projectiles that change with directional inputs. Remedium is a slow-ish counter-attack (again, like in Nitro Royale), Lucere is Nu-like horizontal sword spam (though you stay in place while performing it), and Danza Macabra is another counter-attack, though its triggering conditions are uncertain (it probably catches everything, being an LB and all?). - Ignis still has her boomerang (not sure if it still pulls the opponent in). She also has a trap that attacks and poisons the opponent if they pass through it, though it can be destroyed by enemy attacks. Glamdring is an auto-combo super, and LB seems to fill the whole screen and might combo off some Assist attacks. And some more random titbits: - Al's DP is an overhead on second hit. Not sure if this is new or not, but yeah, gotta keep it in mind. - Saya's LB seems to track the opponent and combo off of meat explosions? Though you can still dodge it with a high jump or a dash. - The Ein LB setup that someone came up with is Ein-Franco-Carol, though Carol's charging time is hella slow, so she might get switched for someone else. EDIT EDIT: Voice actors! Mugen, announcer: Izawa Shiori Althea: Yamamoto Nozomi Yoishi: Orikasa Fumiko Ethica: Aji Sanma -

Huh, well that's interesting. As always, feel free to correct me. There seem to be some local network tests planned for a few arcades, but since there is no official announcement yet, people are taking it with a grain of salt. It's supposed to be freeplay, but it might be single-player only? In any case, I'll be on the lookout for more footage and other info. EDIT: Yeah, some cabinets already got it running. No new info on Ignis or Anna, though. I'm going to sleep, expect the info to flood in on the weekend. https://twitter.com/FZ_250/status/588552165364355072/photo/1 https://twitter.com/Molice/status/588695505812606976 -

And Ein. But really, if you're talking about the expressions and not the artstyle, the only characters who look wrong to me are Mora, Saya and Al, as the rest show pretty much the same disposition as in the games. And while I do agree that the game is a bit lacking on the aesthetic front (the backgrounds, man, the backgrounds!), I believe that the gameplay and the characters themselves will make it stand out on its own just fine. Or maybe I think so because I'm a fanboy, who knows. -

I swear, I thought Jingai Makyo is written by Haganeya It doesn't help that he used a pen name while writing it. My original point still stands, though, as I've never been that excited about JM's story, and GG is irrelevant if it's not written by Ishiwatari. [/backpedaling] Anyways, not surprised at all about the initial roster, since that's what they've been saying in the last couple of streams. But come on, do we really have to deal with only four backgrounds at launch? It's not like they take that much time to draw, not with the amount of detail they got right now. Having no new Assists is disappointing, too, but I can at least understand that: playable characters should take priority. And man, that OP looks pretty damn hype, though most of it is because of the magical combination of VERTUEUX and RAILGUN FUCKING MAGATSU. Seriously, that small teaser alone makes me feel like I should main Muramasa despite her playstyle not being my cup of tea. Other new stuff that you can see in the OP includes: - Some of Ignis's normals - or are those parts of her special charging attack? Not enough info on her to tell for sure, she doesn't seem to be that similar to her Nitro Royale version; - Anna's LB; no idea what it's supposed to be, looks like a generic super-version of the Sectio overhead sword swing; it obviously uses this CG as the inspiration; - Ruili's LB... What the hell is up with all the colors? I assume it's a throwback to her dance at the beach, but does that really deserve the LB status? Oh well, most of her moveset is original, anyways; - Al's LB; LEMURIAAAAA... IMPACT!!! - Anna's Lucere, the sword-spam super; she also has a counter-attack with similar animation, Remedium, but this doesn't have its start-up animation; - Ignis's new super; looks like a ramming attack that wall-splats the opponent. Could be a normal or a special? - Anna's new super; similar to Lucere, but the swords are shot around her rather than forward. Honestly, that's much more than I expected to learn from an OP, of all things. -
You got a space in that URL, so it doesn't work. Here's the article: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201504/14076215.html

This doesn't feel like it's worth an entire announcement: they should've kept her under the rug until they decide on the next character or two. Or maybe it's just me being indifferent about her or the source material (the script writer seems to have little to no experience with VNs, too). But yeah, I can see why they'd include her, and being an Assist is exactly what I'd expect from a character of that scale. -
That was Holy, the usual "White mages deal extreme damage" FF spell. And since the general BP/HP system seems intact, she can deal obscene damage in a single hit if no one hits her for too long.

Yeah, I won't deny that, either, though that's just one of their (best) script writers being a professional kendo-ka. Still doesn't make any good grappler candidates, though. -
Saint Seiya: Soldier's Soul (Steam, PS4, PS3)
SoWL replied to TekkamanArk's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Aren't all Steam releases guaranteed to come out in US? Unless you mean the console version. Don't have any strong feelings for Seiya, but it's nice to see a new 1v1 3D fighter. -
Sword status: drawn. At least now my brother will be able to deal with Gabranth's nerfs (if they stay, of course).

The info from the closed conference is slowly pouring in. http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/036/1036867/ - The game is developed by Tecmo Koei's Team Ninja. It runs at 60 fps and uses PS4 tech, including the button layout. - Two loketests have been announced. The first will take place from April 17th to 19th, the other from 24th to 26th. - No newcomers yet, just Y'Shtola. WoL, OK, Cloud, Terra and Lightning are back. - There is a special "Summon Gauge" that allows you to summon creatures you know and love, such as Ifrit. It's different from the old Dissidia summoning system in that Ifrit actually fights on your side. - There is a special crystal button that makes it easier to build up the Summon Gauge if everyone in the party presses it.

Curse you, poster illustration, for spoiling this surprise. At least Amy is new, though I expected her back in my first speculation post. But anyways, do we really need yet another zoner (and Ouka does look like one from her design)? We still don't have an actual grappler, you know. But I guess it's all because of Nitroplus's infatuation with firearms, so it can't be helped. -
First she took the place of Thief and m.Mage's remaining classes, and now we get her before f.Slayer? That's my girl. Waiting warmly for my chance to ORAORAORA people with Chaos.
-
This song is better than the last two (three if you count the anime) simply because it's memorable. I'd also take the plot-relevant PV over random fights that never happened any time of the day.
-
You'll be surprised, but I know a few people who were genuinely disappointed by the lack of gameplay in the story mode. The same people also say that fighting games don't need plot at all, so yeah
-
But the game is in 3D now, so making scripted fights would be exactly the same as making brand-new 3D animation from scratch, which is exactly what we got.
-
Pretty sure it doesn't regenerate at all, similar to Bang's nails. At least that's how it was supposed to be back at the loketests: if it changed since then, feel free to correct me.
