Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel
SoWL replied to ivanchu77's topic in Misc Fighter Central
That "Blasters" should be spelled with a Z Another minor detail that I noticed on the screenshots is that Natsumi already has a different in-game portrait. Also, as obvious as it might be, different stages have different lightings, affecting the sprites. Back in Nitro Royale, we could only dream of that. -

There are screenshots right there, you know. Not light novel, visual novel. A PC game, basically. They're being published by JAST USA, not sure if they're up on Steam. -

Both Kikokugai and Saya are short and translated, read them and thank me later. Phantom is translated, too, but it was so long ago and its format is so stupid, you're probably better off watching the anime (the 2009 one, not the one before that). -
Another scan: http://i.imgur.com/0138lo1.jpg Kakyoin's VA is now the same as in the anime, which makes sense.

That makes sense, since their characters still lend themselves to the same playstyles (jack-of-all-trades rushdown, melee heavy-hitter, long-ranged zoner). Just remembered that I had this picture saved up from long ago, go ahead and compare it to what we got in the end. -

Ah, so by "Left out", you mean "Left out from ivanchu77's post"? Hurp Guess one of those Francos is supposed to be her. -

Well that's a lot of reveals in a very short timespan, though most of them meet my expectations. Glad to see that Ruili fights on her own, though it makes as much sense as with Sansei (i.e., not much). Interesting that both of them seem to be in-fighters with some potential for electric attacks. Also, since Another Blood is in, we can now expect multiple representatives from a single game, even though they may fit different roles (playable and Assist). A friendly reminder that Sonico is an Assist character, as seen on the screenshots. For all we know, Saber might be the same. Random observations from the screenshots: Normal attacks don't deal chip damage Assist's recovery begins after it goes away, not after being summoned (This is the norm, I believe, but I don't really play Assist games) New stage: Circenses (Gekkou no Carnevale) Some Assists don't let you do anything after you call them out? (look at Saya's reaction, even though she's the one who called Miyuki) If you ask me, she gets much more attention than she deserves objectively (subjectively, she doesn't get enough). No one cares about Hanachirasu, its sequel was a part of a three-game bundle, and the only reason she was playable in Nitro Royale is because no one else could be. -
You might want to host that picture elsewhere. Finished story mode yesterday, my favorite part of it is certainly Faust playing detective in the background. If the next game is going to have more of that, I can't wait for it. The only plot hole that confused me is Justice's shape, but it's already been pointed out that she might have several different forms. It might even be that her armored form is a result of her being imprisoned. You know, like a cage rather than actual armor.

No idea why people called Stolz un-Ishiwatari-like, I think it's a great theme that fits Leo pretty damn well. It helps that he's not a very complicated character who got lots of spotlight in the story mode, so it's easy to make the connection.

Played through his Challenges, they're surprisingly simple (the only thing I have problems with is comboing into his projectile OD). I won't main him, but I love the hell out of his design. It's like I'm actually playing as Gamagoori. Also, now GG has a character with that stupid dropkick sweep, too

At least it says that it's a five-button game. I assume it's the usual weak-medium-strong layout plus two Assist buttons. EDIT: The game is going to be featured tomorrow on the Famitsu channel around 22:40 (JP time). http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv201404060 -
Psst, you actually bought both. Just change the language settings.

It might look like ASB because, you know, it's the same devs working on the game based on the same series. If the reputation is bad enough for them to try and clear it with a rebrand, then it wouldn't be enough, so it obviously just them actually changing the game's system from the core. Also, even though it says "Tag Battle", it doesn't mean that there's going to be a tag system, as it might as well be just a team game, again, like J-Stars.

Back when we first saw a playable Sin, people were saying that you can Blitz Shield between his mashy hits, though I'm not sure if it's still true. In any case, you have to actually input a directional motion to perform it, so Millia is still superior -
I'm honestly not sure I'll be able to buy a full-priced expansion in April. Hell, I'm not sure I'll be able to buy myself a loaf of bread by then. I can only wonder how much stuff there is to develop if it's just at 60% right now.
-
Surprise, we're not getting ASB 2.0, we're getting a brand-new game! http://i.imgur.com/RxULz3p.jpg Platform: PS3, PS4 Developer: Bandai Namco Games Genre: Stylish Tag JoJo Action Official website: http://jojogame.bngames.net/ Little is known about the game right now: the article calls it a tag-battle game where characters can fight in combination with one another on 3D stages. Of course, there are going to be new characters, starting with Diego Brando (VA: Takehito Koyasu) and Rudolf von Stroheim (VA: Imaruoka Atsushi). More info is coming on Jump Festa (December 20th-21st), where the game is going to be playable. Along with the newcomers, players will be able to pick Joseph, Caesar, Jotaro, Kakyoin and Josuke. Sure, it looks more like J-Stars than a traditional fighting game, but as long as it's a fun JoJo game, who cares?

You know why two of my newbie friends picked up Millia way back in 2008? Because you can mash S. Also, her new outfit is cute. -
Note to self: Suspicious Cook makes everything better.

No, it just lets Potemkin compensate for his lack of mobility and dodge the beam. Since her meter gain is so ridiculous, she can do it three or four times in a row, so even if you block it, you have to close the distance afterwards, and ICPM is the only way to do so after being pushed so far away.
-
You won't believe how many fights I lost against her before I realized that I can just ICPM on Calvados's start-up. Also, she has no idea what to do against j.D whatsoever.

Like I said in the other thread, I'd like to kick things off with our first local tournament that happened to record 3 out of my 4 matches in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PB3ZUDz6Eg&t=28m45s (vs Venom) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PB3ZUDz6Eg&t=74m20s (vs Sol) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PB3ZUDz6Eg&t=100m45s (vs Zato) Feel free to note even the most obvious stuff that even I might've noticed (like that fact that I need to FD more often in mid-air or not mash that often).

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion

My take on Danger Time is that it brings less fun to the game when both players involved are more skilled. If it's a week 1 tournament, Danger Time leads to some ridiculous comebacks that are fun to watch, but don't really affect things on a bigger scale (you still have to win lots of games to even get far enough for DT to really matter). But each time I see Danger Time in Japanese replays, both players just back down and wait for it to end before they start pressing buttons again. Basically, the best way to act during it is to not take any risks, and that's as anti-hype as it gets. I'm not sure it has to be removed, and changing the activation condition to something as ridiculous as clashing multiple times in a row is the same as removing it for good. On one hand, the game doesn't really need it, but on the other hand, it just doesn't matter that often for people to care so much. I can understand that it feels very bad to be on the receiving end of a Mortal Counter combo, but if it's the only reason you lost, you're still going to win more games on average than the player who just landed that combo on you. -
Check out his Arcade intro, he pretty much spells it out right there.

I just realized that digging up the game files might finally let us see I-No from the front. I-if you're into that kind of stuff.
