  1. I wish there were more previews like that, I kinda had to go blind and just buy the voices I like without knowing how good they are as announcers. I expected Bedman to just talk non-stop even after trivial things like counter-hits, but he's pretty low-note overall.
  2. Yes, but it's still the first video we can actually post here
  3. Are we going to have a separate critique thread, or is this thread good enough for that? I'm back from my first recorded tournament, and I'd like people to tear my good doctor apart.
  4. Are people really comparing online to offline and expect the former to be as good as the latter? Why?
  5. He's heavily spacing-oriented, as he can cover lots of space with his moves. Since there are no pure zoners in GG and the general system rewards aggressive play, he does have some strong mix-ups and pressure strings. His only weakness is weak defensive tools, but you're not supposed to let your opponent pressure you. His best defense is keeping his opponents away.
  6. Well, I certainly didn't expect this format, but hey, it works! Keep on truckin'!
  7. The complete scan, as provided by Kurushii: http://www.mediafire.com/view/3r5pr5bh5jz5kpp/056-057.png Unfortunately, there's no info we don't already have, but I guess the announcement itself is more than enough to excite (some) people for now. Still, I can at least try listing the system info we have: - The game is going to have double jumps, air-dashing and aerial blocking - You pick two support characters at once, which have separate cooldowns - The super-gauge is divided into three stocks, so different actions will probably spend different amounts of it - There's a suspiciously Burst-like "Blast" icon - You can deal chip damage with assist characters (both Spica and Natsumi seem to deal quite a lot) and special moves (Mora's hammer swing) - All assist characters' portraits match their artwork with the sole exception of Sonico. This is fishy... I'm trying to figure out where the stages come from, but two of them are pretty generic, and the third one doesn't match the game I think of. - The sunset warehouse - Phantom of Inferno? (Zwei fought with Ein for the first time in one) - School grounds - ??? (The benches imply that it's not some kind of private mansion, so my first guess of Fate/Zero is out. "Hello, World", maybe?) - Town square - Saya no Uta? (Sure, it looks like Fuminori-vision, but there just isn't enough gore for that, the colors are different, and the architecture is pretty futuristic. It's like some gigantic creature exploded or something)
  8. As much as I'd like to take credit here, all I did was repost pictures I found elsewhere.
  9. Just throwing this out here: there were rumors that Faust is Chinese, but it seems that the text on his clipboard is in German. Which means that he's either German, himself, or he once worked in a German clinic. Which makes all sorts of sense when you take his name into account.
  10. Leo movelist? Sure. http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Yorito1/media/20141209_204743_zpsc22a124c.jpg.html http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Yorito1/media/20141209_204803_zpsa30c3539.jpg.html http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Yorito1/media/20141209_204819_zps18d95911.jpg.html
  11. Izuna is not a Focus, he's a being born in the Backyard. The Yokai that are compared to the Foci are most probably those that take the shape of common items, like umbrellas or sickles, which are but a fraction of all the Yokai.
  12. Famitsu updated their website with some screenshots: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201412/11067516.html Yeah, seems like Sonico is a support character. Which makes playable Muramasa a little bit more weird.
  13. And of course, all the good stuff always happens when I'm asleep.
  14. Yep, it's Kaigen alright. What a shame, I love her to the point of maining her in Nitro Royale (hell, I picked the game up because of her!), but I'm not really surprised. She's not really a character in her first game, and the second game is very short. I think you're missing the "Heroines Infinite Duel" subtitle. Putting my thoughts together about potential roster, I think I get a rough idea of it by simply going over all their titles. Warning: big fat speculation post ahead. EDIT: Now that I take a closer look at the scans, it seems like Ein has Sonico in a support slot? Hurry up with the screenshots, Famitsu!
  15. Because a local release would lead to a bigger scene, which leads to better competition and richer experience for everyone involved.
  16. Re-read the post, it's about Ky introducing his relatives to Leo.
  17. That's a character I'm not worried about at all. Just wait for the inevitable reveal.
  18. They barely missed it last time, so I do expect to get someone from there. Though it's going to be difficult to differentiate them from Ein. Maybe a horseback gunner, JoJo ASB-style?
  19. At the very least, you're probably saving lots of money by not buying anime figures, since Sonico rivals even Miku in the sheer number of those.
  20. Elphelt is downloaded for free along with the game itself in the HK store.
  21. Which reminds me: I hope it's not going to be Taoluo disregarding the "Heroines' Duel" title again. Natsumi and Dragon being supports means that the roster may not match the last game, so there's hope for that. On the other hand, there are not that many heroines to take from there. Petrushka, maybe?
  22. Oh boy, it's actually happening, even if they're five years late (this was one of their planned projects for their 10-year anniversary in 2009). I'm glad that there is finally a fighting game with a playable Muramasa character, but I'm getting a bit tired of Muramasa herself stealing the spotlight over and over again. She cannot fight without Kageaki. Like, at all. I know that it doesn't say much when you got freaking Sonico as a playable character, but still, I'd sell my soul to have a playable Hikaru. Or Ichijou. Or Kanae-sama. Or Chachamaru. /Muramasa fanboy rant Let's just hope it ends up better than their last fighting game. And that it's still going to have Saya.
  23. If anything, he looks like Ragna.
  24. 175000 is probably the maximum range that Mettakiri can activate at, counted in whatever points the game uses to define distance.
