  1. I'm not seeing the issue with these pics
  2. I don't think his Persona has a coat on his shoulders, it looks more like a tabard to me. I mean, he already wears a piece of clothing on the front, it only makes sense for his coat/cloak/whatever to be a part of it.
  3. Getting rid of the middle-man (because clicking two links to get to the full translation takes too much effort ): http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?16895-P4U2-News-Gameplay-Discussion&p=1576401&viewfull=1#post1576401
  4. As expected, this episode was pretty much the retelling of Lambda's joke ending with some corrections. First, they introduced Arakune (since the tartar has to come from somewhere). Second, Ragna takes Makoto's place (who has a short scene with Noel instead). And third, Lambda gets a cool Nu-like coat out of nowhere. Once again, the episode felt pretty good to me, especially the way they animated Arakune. On the other hand, it feels like they've spent a bit too much time on a filler-ish episode, but since Lambda is pretty important in the CS story, I don't mind as much as with the hot springs episode.
  5. Well, his doll drains his gauge pretty hard, especially if he doesn't recall her - and if he doesn't, he has to spend some time to summon her and actually poke you. It basically depends on Relius's strategy: wait him out if he goes full Ignis, abuse his limited options if he keeps her hidden (perhaps to summon her mid-combo?), get in between his pokes if he alternates between the two modes.
  6. It already came out, but there are still no sprite rips. Go figure. Does anyone have that Platinum head that everyone shopped on pretty much every member of the cast?
  7. Kanji wears his coat on his shoulders, while Sho has it tied around his waist.
  8. When the Xbox version is out. Yeah.
  9. Just like his surname, huh. Time to translate the article, I suppose. Minazuki ShoCV: Suzumura Kenichi Persona: None Type: Solo type Persona gauge: None Identity unknown! Who is this dual-wielding psycho? Minazuki is the first character in the game who "fights without using a Persona". This mysterious character who only has his name and appearance revealed does not seem to have a Persona (or just does not want to use it, which is one and the same in gameplay terms). Instead, he has an aggressive fighting style that uses his twin swords. This sets him up as a rival of Narukami, another sword wielder. Since he has no Persona, all normals, specials, and supers that use the A, B, and C buttons are performed by Minazuki himself. By pressing the D button, he can perform a unique "Dodge" move: this makes him a pretty simple character both in offense and defense. Don't be mistaken, though: he's not weak just because he has no Persona. You should rather be worried about fighting a character with such powerful techniques, which Minazuki got plenty of. His normals, such as a fast 2A, long-reaching 5B, and a strong j.C, are all tailor-made to make it easy for Minazuki to get in along with his fast jumps and dashes. And if you happen to block the enemy's attack, you can get behind them in a blink of an eye with your "High-Speed Movement" (236C/D) and either use your highly rewarding throw or your 2C that greatly punishes those who don't block low. Minazuki's blockstrings are very difficult to interrupt because of him canceling into "High-Speed Movement". If the opponent gets a bad timing with their punish, Minazuki simply dodges the attack and gets a free combo. However, if the opponent reads that and delays their attack for the teleport, Minazuki can counter-hit them with his 2C. Moreover, his B normals deal two hits, which makes reading and punishing them even more difficult. Since Minazuki can easily mix-up the opponent by abusing his various "Hozukizan" specials, it's very easy to get good with him with a little practice. And since his SP skills and Awakening SP skill are very easy to connect from the simple strings, he's recommended for the players who don't like complicated playstyles. Moreover, "Survival Knife" is a perfect move to kick-start your onslaught. As the name implies, Minazuki quickly throws a survival knife over the whole screen: thanks to its great speed, you can easily get in even if the opponent blocks it. Up-close, this move can safely stagger your combos, making the opponent even more cautious of "High-Speed Movement" and 2C. Overwhelm the enemy with quick attacks! On the defensive, Minazuki can use his powerful D button and Furious Action to "dodge" enemy's attacks, so he doesn't feel handicapped in that aspect. Since the Furious Action comes out very fast, it can easily get between the opponent's combo links. And in the air, surprise, it becomes an overhead that can't be blocked low. Even though it doesn't deal that much damage, that's one more mix-up option to break through the enemy's guard. By using the One More Cancel right after the "Dodge", it's easy to turn this defensive tool into an offensive one. With this, you can even punish the attacks that can't be blocked, which makes it a pretty strong defensive option, especially at the long distance. And by using the aerial version, you can counter the anti-air attacks, making it easier for you to get in. Minazuki has lots of powerful techniques despite having low health. And since his playstyle is easy to understand, it's very easy to play as him for anyone who has any experience with fighting games. He might not be able to attack in tandem with his Persona like the rest of the characters, but his offense is very difficult to see through, making it that much more rewarding. It can also be said that having no Persona and not having to worry about the Persona gauge has its merits, as well. If you want to be in your opponent's face no matter what, than this character is tailor-made for you. Screenshot: This series of furious sword swings can easily be compared to the power of Persona, if not surpass it. After blocking the enemy's attack, it's Minazuki's turn!
  10. Bullet can: - Get through your projectiles with relative ease, - Stay on you for hours and punish the teleport, - Deal loads of damage in the blink of an eye with good reads, - Play around the reversal super-fireball. Bullet can't: - Out-poke your normals with hers, - Do anything about the black hole setup, - Get in without the Heat-Up levels, - Keep you in the corner unless she presses the right buttons. Basically, keep her out, punish her Afterburner with your normals, and keep the meter for the black hole. It's top tier vs bottom tier, what could go wrong? Oh, and here's the reverse match-up thread.
  11. Well I expected Faust to become Baldhead again, and such trifling differences couldn't stop me from maining him. The same thing happened to me in SC5, since Natsu is about as great as Taki for me (perhaps even better, but I've never learned the game properly). The problems started when my most active SC friend didn't get his Seong Mi Na back, but he seemed to have a lot of fun with Xiba... for about a week or two.
  12. Teddie's CV is male, I think you're mistaking him for Monobear But yeah, there was an old woman on the stream, though I have no idea whether she's voicing anyone or not.
  13. I dunno, it sounds perfectly valid to me. GG is not the only game around, it's not like you have nothing to do until they add your main. And learning the new character on top of learning a completely new game is just not worth the effort for some people, especially when they know that the character they already know how to play as is coming back sooner or later.
  14. Thanks for the link, I suppose? http://blazblue.jp/birth.html#birth1123
  15. About as much as drawing her at all, don't you think?
  16. Then again, most real fights don't involve reality-altering weapons and genetically engineered humans.
  17. All I need from the fighting scenes is getting to see the moves out of the game, and they've been pretty cool about that lately. It'd also help if they were longer, but eh, we have plot to explain.
  18. This is off-topic, but Terumi's problems don't end there (actually, he has Messenga to go through projectiles). It's that he's extremely dependent on meter, but he can't get it unless he hits the opponent, and his mix-ups are not good enough to do it reliably.
  19. Which reminds me: premium Nico users don't get to see BuruRaji in better quality, do they? Still pains me that we won't see all the glorious artwork scanned. Cool to see them adding more sections, I was getting tired of the "Ask questions, LP the story mode" routine. Let's see how long this is going to last. Not like they can't doo any awesome stuff with this format: the Azrael moment had me in stitches. Oh, and I'm totally buying the Terumen plushie when I get the chance.
  20. This is a bit off-topic, but can we get a link to the game's website in the news thread? Kinda weird to have it missing for so long, but have a link to the GG JP arcade website
  21. You take that back, sir. My random theories concerning the new char: - That Man (nah, he's never going to be playable) - Crow (he was introduced in a game where Daisuke had little to no involvement, so not likely?) - Dr. Paradigm (why would he leave his glass ball?) - A.B.A.'s "father" (we don't know anything of him, so why not?) - Robo-Ky (would they make a mystery reveal out of a veteran character?) - Valentine clone (again, way too different from her silhouette) Since we now have a Zato1 reanimation to explain, I'm going with the "A.B.A.'s father" theory, but I don't expect it to be true. And that picture gives me strong Pokey Minch vibes.
  22. vs Tager: BBCP 11/7/2013 Playspot Big One - Showdown 『Madao (BU) VS ZEL (TG)』 Vol.1 [Madao] BBCP 11/7/2013 Playspot Big One - Showdown 『Madao (BU) VS ZEL (TG)』 Vol.2 [Madao]
  23. 'Cause punishing them on whiff is not enough Also because combos, I suppose?
  24. Man, first we get all these surprise loketests, and now even a surprise release date out of nowhere. Not like I have anything against it.
  25. Most of the info on Junpei is old, but the article mentions that he now has a "Clean Hit" system. You time the B moves properly, and if you do, the enemy is sent flying, which makes it easier to confirm the hit into a good combo. However, it seems like this effect only works in Victory Cry mode?
