  1. An article that covers the loketest changes: http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/776/776668/ - No new playables after all. - Maou gets a power-up if you use him a certain number of times (the exact number is not specified). After the power-up, he deals about as much damage as Climax Arts (a super). - Boogiepop can be blocked with an aerial block. You can follow up his attack with a combo. - Holo hops before placing the wheat field, hitting the enemy for miniscule damage. It can probably be used as a ghetto anti-air. She doesn't recover that much health, but her short cooldown lets her do it quite often, especially if you're playing a zoner. - New gameplay mechanic #1: Impact Break (4AB). A universal overhead that has a single hit of super-armor and can be followed up with an aerial combo if you press A, B or C. Does this remind you of anything? - New gameplay mechanic #2: Quick Forward (19). Basically, a forward high jump. The trajectory differs a lot between characters: for instance, Shana's is a bit lower than her normal jump. It can't be jump-canceled into, but you can still do a double-jump or an air dash after it. - New gameplay mechanic #3: Mid-Climax Arts Trump Card (A+C during Climax Arts, up to 2 times). Powers up your super by consuming the Dengeki marks. It feels like it gets about 30% stronger after you consume both... Which is still enough for Shana to deal 70% of Shizuo's health with her Potential activated. - Dengeki marks now only recover for the character who lost the previous round. - Dashing towards the opponent now recovers more Climax Gauge. - The cooldown of Blast is now displayed in percents. - EX specials and Trump Cards now have different inputs to avoid accidental activation. - Landing some attacks now causes surprised animation for the opponent (probably something akin to BB's exclamation marks that denote a low or overhead hit). - Shana's j.C now has an Extend Action (you can hold the button to perform a slower, but more powerful attack). - Shana's "Hien" special (the spinning overhead) no longer knocks down. - KYH's Death By Flashing (the dash) now has follow-ups. A and B makes her teleport into the air and perform an additional attack, while C is a feint that still teleports her and lets her perform a different aerial attack. - Misaka's Magnetic Move (the hover stance) now feels much more comfortable to use. - There are more changes that are not covered in this article!
  2. The only important thing I can deduce from those posts is that the game system has been revamped to some extent. I wonder whether they're going to tell us anything about it before the loketest. Some surprise characters, perhaps?..
  3. By the way, Neuro's another Assist-only character. At least Koro-sensei is playable.
  4. A new trailer with some more character reveals at the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN82w2UQ9VI This game now has all the characters I was hoping for (maybe except Kenshiro), so I guess I have no reason not to buy it. Gotta love Sugita referencing his "mirror" match.

  6. This is a bug that my friend had some trouble with: after Tsubaki performs her 236D dash, she can enter the Overdrive and stay before you, but the game thinks that she got behind your back, so you turn around. Apparently, he still won most of the matches with her, but I didn't know that at the time I wrote the post
  7. That seems to be the case from over here, as well. Reminds me of Kick's cameo in that pixel fighting game. I suppose I don't have anything against such surprise inclusions, but I'd be disappointed if he turns out to be the only Sega representative.
  8. It's not your fault, don't worry, it's the fault of that guy over there who puts the vid together. I did enjoy this much more than I expected, so good job to everyone involved.
  9. Abridged episode, just 6 minutes shorter than the original? Sure, why not. It felt to me like the volume of Emma's lines should've been toned down a bit: each time I turned the volume down on Youtube, Ragna or Hazama said something I couldn't make out, so I made it louder, only for Noel to grate my ears in the next scene. Though maybe that was intentional?..
  10. Uhh, so why would you ever not do Extend now?
  11. I dunno, last time I checked, Neito was the most popular female character, so her chances seem better to me. It might've changed since then, of course, and they might put someone in the roster irregardless of their popularity (let's go, Nenji-Hassan-ItoKen combo!).
  12. New combo video by Mekasue: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22435676 http://polsy.org.uk/play/nico/?vidid=&vurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nicovideo.jp%2Fwatch%2Fsm22435676 vs Nu: 【五井チャリ】1021ブレイブルー かきゅん色々 VS ヨシキ(ν)pu [Kaqn]
  13. I suppose that they just went for the ones that are more popular thanks to the anime right now (and it's currently re-airing in Japan, too). Also, they might release Jotaro as DLC when the new season starts airing in Spring.
  14. We are finally cowboys JoJos. Oh, and Nube is great, too. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-12-11/jojo-nube-characters-join-j-stars-victory-vs-game
  15. Neito > Futayo, I'd be sad to have my wolfu unplayable. Ijou.
  16. It was okay in the Jin vs Ragna fight, but the Terumi fight had nothing to write home about.
  17. For once, I'm not a fan of this new episode: it mostly covered Noel and Makoto fighting Hazama and losing miserably, while Jin and Ragna fight in the background (with some Yukikazes) and Rachel unleashing Hakumen and getting ambushed by Imperator. The episode ends with Ragna failing to turn on BB and learning that Hazama is the one who made it (sic!). In the meantime, we get lots and lots of Terumi faces, Makoto regenerating her clothes and making the blood on her face disappear, Jakou being used on ground characters and generally being just a huge tentacle, and of course, Noel zoning. Oh, and Jubei apparently can teleport in a gust of wind, except that its range is not as great as you might think. Still good enough to make a dramatic exit, though.
  18. Faust has unique dialogue against Zato, huh? I suppose that makes sense, now that he knows that the Guild is behind his accident and Zato is actually alive (though we still have no idea how). Good thing that they're tying him back into the story outside of being Zappa's McGuffin.
  19. I'm currently crossing my fingers for playable Suzuno, simply because Emi is already in and Chi-chan can't fight. Also, hammer characters are awesome.
  20. Maou, Support-only? The hell. I sure hope that doesn't mean we get Emi as a playable character in his stead, since that'd be redundant. Then again, if they manage to make her feel different enough from Asuna, I could deal with it, but I just don't see how exactly can that be done. Anyways, the effects: Korbo: creates a patch of wheat that heals you when you stand near it. Boogie: lands a guaranteed attack that lands anywhere. Takes a while to come out, so you have to protect him. Maou: rushes forward and lands a punch. The damage is low, but it seems like you can awaken his demonic powers when certain conditions are met?..
  21. Completely red? I remember a white Zato, red Eddie color scheme, that one was great and I wouldn't mind having it back.
  22. Gotta leave the alternate take on the netcode here, just so people can make their own opinion.
  23. A short article is now up on Famitsu, as well: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201312/06044524.html

  25. There are now specific voice lines not only before and after combat, but also during the fight itself. (Though people probably won't be able to hear it in arcades). Axl vs Sol is supposed to be especially good.
