  3. That is some beefy damage off a jD CH. No wonder it seems like Naoto's in the videos are using it in pressure more.

  8. Impressions from day 1 footage: -EX Gun super is as lulzy as imagined. So many fraud comebacks once she hits Awakening. Naoto fires off the silence shots then blaps the fear shot on them right afterward. Also if the silence shots kill off the opponent, the fear shot won't take away fate counters after they're dead. -If the traps have more recovery, they don't look like it. They seem exactly like P4A vanilla. I guess they reverted this change for the final version. -2C special cancel is a trip, Naoto can do a midscreen bnb into 2C > shots. -New corner combos look weird but kind of cool, also it seems like trap oki is still possible afterwards. The Naoto player I was watching ended a corner combo with C trap and was able to block Labrys's gear super afterward. -Apparently Venom Zapper actually has pretty good head invul, if you trade with an air attack Naoto might be safe but you may lose a Persona card. I will gladly give up a card for smacking people out of the air and poisoning them though. -5D is mega fast now like woah. Definitely looks like a more effective zoning tool. -Airdash > EX trap fastfall is still in. -Bullet recharge gauge is sadness, but considering the multitude of buffs Naoto got it's manageable. It looks like we'll really have to decide if it's worth it to use the bullets for extra fate or an extended combo since they won't always be available. -Didn't get to see if jC hits overhead or not yet. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdZvB-HrzLM&t=9m18s Looks like EX Aim is still Fatal recovery. Also it looks like B bullet hits low no matter how high it hits them now (or was it always like this?) www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdZvB-HrzLM&t=14m57s Looks like shots push the opponent back a lot on block, so they seem much safer to end a blockstring with. The new 6D bullet is really cool. I like that it's available even without bullets empty so you can still finish off bnbs and take away a fate counter.

  13. That's actually really good to know; I didn't know that they changed that about her drive. I'll have to really pay attention to their air options from now on.
  14. As silly as it is, a healthy dose of DDDDD seems like the way to go. It's certainly more fun than trying to take this character seriously. Also another good thing I found out, is that 2B > 5C pretty much makes her free on wakeup. It's an age old option select, but it works wonders to catch her roll or CH wakeup teleport. Really good with charge stein oki for an easy confirm if they're blocking or not.

  17. Yeah, it's rough, but this is just one of those matchups where ideally you should never get hit. Once you get sandwiched it can pretty much be game over if the Carl is good. His damage seems a lot scarier than Extend, so it feels much more unforgiving if you make a mistake. Also I believe he is one of the few (only?) chars that can actually safejump Mu's DP. Play neutral as long as you can until you actually get a CH or stray hit into corner carry, then kill him. Carl has a rough time against Mu's normals but you have to always be mindful of the doll. Don't commit to anything if she's already starting up a special move so you don't get caught by the super armor, take that as your cue to gtfo of there. Remember that you can still jump cancel your moves by hitting Ada, so you can still control space and beat up nee-san at the same time. If sister dies feel free to be more aggressive and start bullying him into the corner.
  18. Tao seems to be actually getting more popular online so there's no more sweeping this MU under the rug. I think this might earnestly be Mu's worst matchup. I mean it's never been good but now Tao has easy oki anywhere with her new cat spirit followup, and she gets insane damage and corner carry. I'm not sure what to do other than hope I get lucky and somehow get her into the corner. I'm too afraid to place any steins or try to space with normals for fear of getting biffed by a D move into 4k + a free trip into the corner. Anyone have any advice for this matchup?
  19. I vaguely remember Yata slowing the game down a little even in Extend, but it's certainly more prominent in CP. For more lulz, do 4 stein Yata against Growler or Rachel OD Tempest Dahlia with 4 wind.
  20. But Ruben don't you want emancipation? And it would be lame if they spoiled him at the end of the trailer and he wasn't playable. Edit: Sho's char design in general looks pretty silly. He looks like Ronald McDonald with dual swords
  21. Yeah pretty cool that Adachi will be playable. Also the JP console release will apparently be in the summer, that's sooner than expected.

  23. I wonder how they'll write Zato back into the story. Also the mystery character totally looks like Valentine with her balloon thing in the background but the silhouette is pretty ambiguous. Lol it would be hilarious if this actually became the common abbreviation for the game.
