  3. from fullscreen you can still do 5b sweep. if the foe doesn't end up flying over your head (you're truly hugging the wall/very close to it), you can do 5d late 5b (wait until they're just about liz's torso area) sweep... the rest. despite looking difficult and unorthodox, it's just a visual effect, l think. this is probably the easiest way to combo from 5d imo, barely any timing needed. instead of 5b you can use 5a. 2a 5b also works, and 2b d.garu should as well. there's quite a few combo routes from fullscreen 5d.

  5. liz will better you, dude. worst MU's in game liz vs titsuru- 3-7 kanji vs liz- 2-8 l forgot the last MU. stunedge went over them awhile back also, elizabeth the herald of lopsided MU's. inb4 all her MU's become 1-9/9-1.

    you should be able to punish him and avoid the nails, from fullscreen even, by running in and 5b. (1 wind is needed for farther distances and/or needs to be pressed early if you are in the middle or near the end of the umbrella). if he does it every time you summon, then you need to be wary when he has 50 heat. if he has 50 heat and lingering around at fullscreen instead of trying to approach, whiff a 2a and watch him. whiffed 2a may trigger his reactions and invoke a nail super - free punish for the princess. once he gets wise to this he may try something different like a full-on approach, and then you need to be wary of that, too. but really, your free combo should get him to the corner where you're very likely to win that round anyway.
  8. she might get a little better. at this point in time, l guess no one truly understands the character on a deep level, which, of course, is understandable considering the game is new. however there are some things that most likely won't change and might actually get worse as time goes on. like her mixup and oki. liz is a jack of all trades and a master of none. you cant do one thing for too long, or at all vs certain characters, and the things you can do you have to seriously be on point with your decision making and yomi. overall she might end up being very matchup dependant. that's my two cents on her currently. kiba, can we share the black/pink color palette? it's so sexy~
  9. ggs to everyone in the past few days. liz's boots more than makes up for her low tierness. and the fact that she sounds like rachel + valkenhayn combined. very cute. l can't wait to learn the matchups.
  10. im getting ready to test out 5c a.bufu/j.5d. if they jump most characters cant hit thanatos early in the jump, those who do run the risk of extending their hitbox, leaving them in prime condition for a 2c, which will launch them higher and guarantee a nice combo. both a.bufu/j.5d and 2c would work with each other and form a jump/no jump mixup. ... at least, that's my theory it needs testing.
  11. you have a great point, but this kind of stuff needs more credibility (i.e good players) than we have now. not saying any of us are bad, just that we're still just getting familiar with her.
  12. garudyne does not need it's own thread. as it is a combo tool, it already has it's own sub-topic in the combo thread, which is good enough. you have to be wary who you're fighting against. l highly advise that you get down all the regular timings, as they are easier and work on alot of the cast. then, tackle the character specific ones. as the character specific ones hold the majority of the higher/top tier characters, it's imperative that you try hard to learn them. the timings for the characters can be found in the combo thread. l believe d.garu does 10 hits, so if you see something like 6:4, you hold 8 or 9 for about 6 hits and 2 or 3 for 4 hits. practice, practice, practice the key to garu combos.

  14. yea it is, sometimes using sb garu after it still ends the combo or whiffs, zio's dont work and jc also just ends the combo. 5c is also a bitch to confirm, standing, crouching... jumping is really easy but sometimes 2c whiffs, at the worst times too. what do you guys do fullscreen generally? zio is shitty, the reward is definitely not worth using it, l mean, its great to punish things but we get a whopping 1k for said punish. agi's are hella punishable, ex agi is free meter w/barely any advantage. l dunno whether spamming 5c/2c/5d/j.5d is legit but its definitely not working for me. l thought what l was doing was right, but seeing the miniscule reward in return is making me rething my strategy...
  15. another weird thing she can do, she can gatling into shuffle time from 5a(and the two followups), 2a, 5b, sweep. its interesting that she can actually, there might be some throw feint mixups, or maybe plow through mashing or some dp's perhaps. l like to do 5aaa(1) shuffle time. the whirlwind serves as a visual distraction from the grab and it looks cool.
  16. its super hard to hitconfirm with her... at least for me it is. l cant seem to get a combo off most random hits. l just learned low j.b land 5a j.a j.b dj.a j.bc on airborne foes, other than that l drop alot of confirms especially anything involving thantanos as a starter. its making me sad because l know her combos and cant do them mid match.
  17. we can OMC 5c guys, but not just by pressing abc like for other moves, you have to press 2abc for w/e reason. anyway, this means we're equipped to punish chicken blocking with 5c(2) OMC bufu or j.5d. no more waiting for paralysis to do a scary mixup. however there is no invul on these moves so mashing can definitely beat bufu and maybe j.5d. also, as with all her pressure, guess wrong and you're back to neutral with 1 less persona life. other things -there's a minimum time to press 2abc, in between the gap of 5c(1) and (2). any earlier and you get 5c(1) 2c(whiff). -pressing 2abc as early as possible will give liz a good amount of +frames as 5c(2) hits, though there isnt much that can be done from this? maybe short hop mixup? 2c c agi has been great for me so far.

  19. if you dont mind losing a persona life: after 5c (hit, particularly standing non ch as there arent many options to follow up with anyway), 2d for poison. this will also work on block if the foe is expecting to punish a 2c.

  21. its one of those situations where it's more than punishable if the foe is on point, but not enough if they realize about 3/4 into summoning the flame. its a great bluff since agi and bufu have the same animation, i'm not sure whether to call this a gimmick or a shenanigan. speaking of, what do you guys think of an oki/resets/gimmicks thread?

  23. l take it the projectile invul backdash has no effect on physical attacks? also, what can he do after it? i'm thinking 5c or sweep would be good reaction normals if he suspects an a/b zio and performs the dash. also, is it ex or regular? yea charging star = rush attack with persona. im not sure why he has that move, it looks pretty bad. l dont think it has any invul. 5b right through? its active awhile. for his r action, well, ive gotten hit by it twice today. l dont remember it doing any damage, just a knockdon. it just shifts the momentum in his favor. ldk how to punish. maybe throw or throw(whiff) 5a of course im only brainstorming atm so take everything l say on the MU with a grain of salt until we can do further, concrete testing
