  3. people tend to roll when they smell a kokushi on wakeup. l think some chars can even punish the recovery like hazama. the payout is great if you can get them to neutral tech. oh, l know l saw a litchi do something like 5b[m] 2c[m] delay 5c[m](1) 6d[m](1) dash haku chun into a combo from midscreen. l forget the vid, but does it work on every character? heck, does it work at all? l might not have the proper notation for the combo l saw.
  4. press taunt and let my opponent get the combo. (l'm a bit of a sadist when it comes to mu, hehe...) l mean, mistakes do happen in fights that cost you a hell of a lot of pain (shoelaces untied, hair in the way, slice yourself by a mistake with your sword etc). my mu's visor is just too big - i'll have to get it replaced eventually. when she's not worried about sight, then it's backdash, 5c, iabd, or 5d iabd.

  6. thank you kro. l suppose stopping pressure to summon is a mixup within itself. as silly as it sounds, l think watching testament vids will help me out with this since their traps are somewhat similar. tofurr, l enjoyed the part where you did a blockstring into winded 3c, and after the 3c did j.2c for the counterhit. l was amazed actually. that was a neat way to take advantage of the +0 3c has. overall good play imo. as said above, j.2c in blockstrings arent that great, but you did some smart things.

  8. that seems really helpful. no l dont usually do tk iris despite the benefits. but since you put it in such a good perspective, a gameplan around it sounds wonderful. hey kro, you know alot of stuff clearly, can you help me with my midscreen pressure? alot of corner stuff dosent work as well midscreen that keeps her in close range and in a good position. lm having trouble extending pressure outside of 5b 2b 236a stuff. summoning pumpkin mid-string dosent appeal to me too much. so what should l do when l get in the foe's face (that dosent destroy the wind guage) besides the normal high/low/throw stuff, because people are starting to wise up and block well.

  11. l have a pair that consumes my ears and head so they look really crazy, but they're lightweight and the sound quality is great. it looks artsy too. and for 40 bucks l was sold
  12. yay more tutorials just a slight tidbit, if you -know- they'll roll 5c is an unprorated roll punish. yum damage. speaking of oki what do you guys do when the frog goes off? do you get all fancy-like with mixups?

    ja jb land dash 5b- stuff. thats what l do. depending on where you are you can do an optimal combo from there. youre not getting much damage from it so go for positional advantage. from the 5b you can do: j3db jc... 5cc... 3c... 6cd... etc my most used is (since l prioritize corner push) ...ja jb dash 5b 6cd(8d x n) jc dash 5b 5cc 236b dash 5cc dash 3c(1) 214c 3c(1) oki

  16. hmm, alright. l think l only have issues with dp through pressure when im not playing rachel, since with her there isnt really big holes to exploit, so l always expect respect even with other chars. but as l start playing rachel only this wont be as huge an issue. yeah.... but ca's are a bit of a bane to me. theyre so... unexpected i'll try you guys' ideas though. l like the idea of baiting a ca... oooh im getting so hype to do this now! since most ca's start on frame 8 and invul ends around frame 20... in order to bait it l need to be in the air 8f in advance, ib the hit, and then l have about 8f to punish most of the time, so l can land 5b. :3 this is going to be godlike.
  17. l meant to add corner, lol heres a setup lve been trying for... the past 5 minutes (srsly) after fc sod. (corner) sod fc dash 6a 6b dash 6a j2c j2d dash 2b 5c 2c j2c jd dash 2b 5c 2c j2c j4d dash 2b 6a jc j2c dash 3c super, 5.9k the steins MAY be setup in a way so that the foe cant jump out and if they poke/dp they'll get hit with fat laser for huge damage... probably. srsly l only made this 5 minutes ago, so go nuts with testing :<
  18. l havent read mu's fd in ages but sod is a great punish if you can get the fc. free 5k meterless, best oki (so many options that all have great damage) and can stack on damage with super(s) or keep the meter. without fc it more or less is the same. in general, her best starters in the corner are(left to right) 6c(fc or no), sod (fc or no), 236d, 214d, 5c, 3c, and jc. quite a bit of good, common ones.

(l lol'd at the irony of rachel players being wild... we must be pissing her off ) l'll have to try the whole beating tactics thing. besides baiting bursts ldk how to beat things like counter assault or dp mashing through pressure. but l guess l have a new goal now

    oh, theres this throw combo l want to share. (after 5cc frog oki in corner, foe neutral techs) run up throw (frog hits) dash 4b 5c bbl lv3 j2c land 214a 5cc delay 236a (frog hits) dash 5cc oki 4k+, 1-2 wind. this is not the exact combo because l forgot how l did it the first time, so this is more or less 'safe'. l will post the better one later. btw this is my example of capitalizing a hit while something is out, things like this is what im trying to find since her summonless combos are pretty much done.

    instead of 6a bbl you can do 5c bbl for more overall damage, and it dosent push the foe up too much so that you can do a 1 wind level 3 j.2c.in this case, youre doing a 1 wind, 6k bnb from 5cc. about the combo thread, can we add random pumpkin/george/pole combos? by random l mean theyre out and can be used in an optimal way.like using pumpkin to relaunch, or winding george mid combo, or using sword iris instead of 8d midscreen. l mean, they do happen often in matches, why not capitalize on them.
  22. ooh, lk l thought about this one. ok, this is rachel based. what about her gives you the most problems? ls it her pressure/mixup? oki? zoning? do you think she's easy or irritating to fight? also, although she is such a rare pokemon in na and jp, what do you feel us rachels are lacking? this question is kinda broad but im interested in what you think about it. lastly do you consider her mixup/oki 'one of the best in the game' from your experience? or has she been far outclassed in that department already. l dont mean by litchi godly oki stuff, just in general. im curious because l dont have a rachel master to ask all these questions just yet

  25. yeah its neutral. if you do IAD j.2c, youre going to get the low (second hit) only. the first hit is for crossup feints/throw baits and such. regardless, its going to hurt. alot. for all the trouble its worth though, with the staple defense in this game being up-back -_- (obviously not true... all the time)
