so um hows everyone's day going :v i'm starting to not like the decor of this dormitory. where is my underpaid, overworked butler?
-
lt is infuriating but put yourself in a recorder's shoes. do you really want the world to know how free you are? thats like putting "cat licking" on your resume. ppl are going to laugh at you. shit, i'll post up all the vids of me destroying people and one or two very close losses lol. because l'd like the world to think/know im a good player.
-
pads are indeed special, you will never play at the same quality when using someone elses. example lf l took my sisters' pad and played on it i'll do pretty badly. and doing badly due to forces beyond your control is... well its like netplaying. and ps2 pads are shitty. they feel horrible and laggy, its just really not a good quality pad compared to the ps3 pad. lt may seem that pad warriors are bitching, but really its not the same. at all. now lm perfectly fine just coming and not playing anything if its on 360, l just dont want to be the only one there, which would seem to be the case. but yeah why is it on 360 anyway, no one seems to really object having anything on ps3. (l dont know anything about the setups there so just asking)
-
next time, 25-0 him. just ask him to take it down. im quite sure he's reasonable. or take it as an incentive to get (even) better.
-
so what'sgoing on. Are people there? If so imma get out of my house
-
is anyone going today??? im really in the mood for some offline bb. l dont want to come if im going to be playing myself :< l might try gg too, but be warned l havent played in ages. expect lots of DANZAI

not a bad idea at all. l think if we were to do this, the best way to manage it would be to have two people who are trustworthy (and can record) be in charge. this way, there isnt just one person overloaded (should that even happen), nor is there 20 members with access (because we all know what happens then, loll) the only thing is, rach isnt much of a gimmicky character... the best stuff is the most basic with her. l have yet to see a stylish, gimmicky rachel though there are gdlk ones (coughsesucough)
-
just that. a youtube channel that has alot of vids of rachel. you know how many people like to post 10 second clips of a setup/combo they've found, or having a bunch of great rachel matches on their channel. l've been looking for videos/channels like this, to no avail. (if youre still confused, think jourdal/pktazn's channels.)
-
hey guys is there a rachel channel (or channels) on youtube? lm looking to get some ideas rolling.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmLPdplNgAs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTpX_jIuYO0 this is hot. really hot. edit: apparently these vids are in fact old news?

l wonder when was it that she actually aquired nago and gii as servants. ln that blazblue novel (l forget the name, but it was in the time that her father was still alive), she was actually grade school rach and she wasnt accompanied by them.

thank you hitbox viewer! :3 man, l feel so much closer to knowing this matchup now. im going to post a few things a little later
-
6c helps beat most of her neutral game including 3c. beware of super and 236a of course. you can jump over 236a on reaction an summon pumpkin. super dosent break a primer from afar so no need to be scared if you arent being obvious/reckless. lf shes waiting around to reaction super, take that time to get in her face and to the corner.
-
alrighty lk im going to do just what you said, thanks. l should probably write stuff down because l forget alot of it too quickly. heres something silly, do you think writing yourself a mini-guide on your character based off your own experience is a good idea, or even necessary? lt sounds like something people do... but it also sounds like a silly thing to do ._.

what color palette is that in the frame data! it looks beautiful

heres something interesting. l was testing j.2c frog combos, and l realized how much untech time you actually get from lv2 j.2c. lf you delay it enough you can get a hard knockdown even if you mess up the rest of the combo. this means two things: - you remain safe even if you mess up -you can get oki from midscreen lv2 j.2c. you even have more advantage than 3c oki from this, and you can cover all tech options from it.
-
she isnt bannable. just really good. it should be noted that you actually do need to learn things with her and get some time in the lab in order to get good results. ln fact, no top tier in this game is really easy to just pick up(except noel in my own biased opinion lol), or anyone for that matter, and mostly everyone can win in the game now. lk how do buy and play the same game that you are playing. lts obvious that all the top/jp bb players are always catching something im not. its hard trying to understand and apply advanced things, it really is. now how can l learn mindgames when im not even past the average skill level yet.
-
do you guys use her 5b often in neutral?
-
there should be a footnote somewhere on this, l posted about it before. basically, in order to get bigger untech time on 5cc you have to delay it so that the opponent gets hit -under- the umbrella. its pretty tricky to do. heres an example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuqcJrdJzqw&t=1m6s around 1:29. 5c(w)c hits right at the center of the umbrella. right there is where you want to hit. after some practice, lt should be fairly easy to tell whether you did it right in an actual match and react accordingly. at this point, no there isnt an easy way to do j2c frog stuff - well, l haven't found anything myself besides doing ... j2c(lv2) 214a 5b air combo with j2c ender (frog is ready to activate on wake up). you can do pumpkin instead of frog btw, but it hasnt proven (as) useful yet.
-
rachel, lamda, haz. and noel if she manages to pull off those miraculous 2d - win combos. ugh. vs noel l usually create space to get the frog out. once george is out shit really hits the fan (for noel). pumpkin + george is very, very hard for her to deal with (at this point i'm daring her to air approach/lol 2d so l can 6a her ass/try to kill frog so she can get blown up, chucking things at her face from fullscreen or trying to get in safely with george - all while regaining wind. lolnoel). optic barrel is fairly obvious so l just block it/jump over so l dont lose pumpkin. lf she does air super, l punish with winded dash bbl under her, or 5b as she comes down into a hearty bowl of ass whoopin. otherwise, midrange l try to back away because rachel sucks at poking. unless she's in my face noel dosent give me much problems at all. and 2c is so good vs her too :D

teams as in 2 v 2? just asking :w: ok so, is anything going on this week. ill try and make it there if a ps3 is available to mash on edit: oh yeah its 2v2. damn l cant read
-
agreed. l find it funny, as soon as l start loving the slayer colors, every rachel l played for the past two to three weeks has been using the slayer colors. thats not saying much (l only fought about 3 rachels lol). l guess its back to blood red for me. stick as a whole is extremely uncomfortable, for me anyway, but apparently lts overall better than pad to play with. added benefit of being able to play at arcades

mixups from 3d ...3d jb (catches backdashes, gets you within point blank range and hits high) ...3d ja ( recovers fast enough to bait dp's, early ja is a frametrap, hits high) ...3d jc (catches jumps so that you both will land and be in pb range, fast enough so that if it whiffs youre not at a disadvantage) ...3d late throw (catches jumps, decent recovery) all in all im not a huge fan of 3d mixups either, but there comes a point where they have to be done. l wonder if her j2c3d can be used like jin's 6b for feint throw shenanigans :o

some things l saw you (not) doing: -watching staff sets. always pay attention to how the staff is set, particularly when you only have pumpkin out. jump over 2d set and summon/whatever: stay under or sj over 5d set and summon. jump over both (sj over 5d) on the way back, or hit litchi/get her to block before staff returns to her. -having frog out. you had numerous, huge opportunities. frog really shuts down her fullscreen zoning assuming you dont get hit by staff. lt also helps you start your offense/turtling/zoning. there isnt much litchi can do to kill him without you being able to punish her - hard - for it. -against kokushi on your wakeup: neutral tech d (a/b/c +d), then throw. lf you suspect kokushi on wakeup, do this. lt's pretty fail-safe. (dont wind into kokushi by accident though!)

l'd come right now, but the tourney is being held on 360. yeah....... will there be after tourney casuals for ps3 or something? like how long is everyone planning on being there? (l say ps3 because l use pad)
