I see. Then, I have no fucking idea how they calculated the adv. Sorry for stating so much bullshit. Should've tested first.

The dog projectile dissappears upon being hit, according to the frame data. Not sure if talks about literally on hit or the projectile itself dissappearing in contact with something, "Upon being hit". IMO, this probably means that as soon any of the 13 active frames hit, you'll jump straight into recovery. The active frames are not part of recovery... Think like this: DS is 28srtup/12actv/54totalrcvery(14f standalone actually). If it hits on 1st, 4th, 10th, 9th, it doesnt matter. You'll always recover in 14 frames, while the opponent is "locked" for 18 frames. It should be +4, but I *think* the game uses one more frame to enter in recovering state... The same logic can be applied to BK Deadspike, it hits 2 more times which means +2 vantage. That's why meaty Deadspike is sort of pointless. Edit: Stuff's half wrong, sorry. Correctly stated here

Meaty Deadspike and Plain Deadspike are the same thing. As soon any of the active frame hits, Ragna will enter in recovery frames. It doesnt matter if it is the first or 179817891th frame. Otherwise, plain Deadspike would leave him at serious disvantage, and would be only useful as a meaty.

Would be exactly the same thing. Deadspike would immediately recover on the last active frame and shit... It doesnt matter when it hits, if the opponent blocks, the advantage will always be the same in this case. Edit: Stuff's half wrong, sorry. Correctly stated here

your doing 6C (DC) 5D(1) 214D waaay too fast Do: 2D (RC) 6C delay (DC) dash 5D(1) 214D Its crucial that you dont dash after 2D in order for this to work. I used this method and works all the time on anyone. -

How the heck is doesnt come out? Are you sure that it is the right trial? Is it the one with 2D (DC) 6C? 22C is only possible on people who got hit by 2D/3C/Heel Drop first... -

Be sure to watch the combo demo first. Second hit. -
I think they are too dark, but that must be your style. Well...

game's still in Beta, evidenced by colorless characters. The new stage looks awesome though

That's a very common problem for begginners. Be aligned or beneath your opponent. Berial will never fail this way. -
Ok, it may be too late since CS2+ is almost out but I came with these BK stuff: Works on crouching and standing if you use plain 6C. Starting P2 Position to corner and Corner combo. Main string Requires 58+ heat. 6C BK (dash) 214B delay 214D dash delay 6D j.D(whiff) 5D(1) 214D (dash) 6D 623D~Heel Drop Falling j.D j.214C (dash) 5D 214A tiny-delay 214D reverse 214A almost immediate 214D 214214D Damage:6983+ Heat:42, but spent because of Yami ni Kuwaero From... 6B 5C Damage:6140 Heat:49 j.C dash 5B 5C Damage:6808 Heat:51 214D(Deadspike) 5B 5C Damage:8120 Heat:52 6D j.D dash 5B 5C Damage:7585 Heat:54 Notes: -I'm 90% sure all these are universal combos, meaning it works on everyone -All optional dashes are unecessary in corner. There are exceptions however, you may need to dash 6D 623D on some character in order to inferno divider hit twice. -The dummy must be hit by the very top of the last Tsuika(BK Followup) in order to Yami ni Kuwaero connect, timing may vary in some characters.

I personally dont like advance input that much, it throws off my timing sometimes. It is useful for helping in tight links with Haku though. -

Why are you backjumping? Tager is the one who should be doing this. Ragna has several ways to safely approach Tager and start pressure. Dont be afraid to dash 5B his face. I like to "whip" Tagers, by doing 5C(max range) 2C(whiff) x N. Stuff alot of his stuff and keep them honest. And please, dont keep standing in front of him after a tech or try anything, he'll most likely 720/360 you. And mix your strings a little bit more, instead of 5B 5C Hell's Fang, try 5B 2B 2C 5C 2D for example, Ragna can be really unpredicable. Dont forget to mix into overhead(6B), trust me, overheads are good. Safe ways? -Max range j.C. As soon he blocks and you land, dash 5B xxx. If you score a hit, combo. -Plain and old 5B will also do. -If he gets knocked down, you can just jump in j.C freely. Thats pretty much it. -
Just how effective is challenge mode for a beginner to practice?
Tong replied to CyberPhantom25's topic in Beginner Mode
Depends. Some trials are shitty, while others are very practical and instructive. -

If ABC Hell's Fang is cheap, theni dont know what 5k+ stuff is... Btw, Callisto did a wonderful job in not dropping most of his combos. That's how it is, time will come and you'll feel when you get comfortable enough to learn and use new and more damaging stuff. Not-dropping is very important. -

Both have same skill level imo. Practice with this guy all the time and learn better combos to improve your gameplay. Mirror matches are a great way to learn what stuff is unsafe or not, because you can also spot these in your opponent, be it in the form of getting punished or punishing him. Not sure what he meant, but he was as 'good' as you. -

Deadspike at safe distance, 5B, 6D, j.C are very good to start pressure. If you want to get offensive , 6B(overhead) is great. In case your opponent refuses to get up, pick them with 22C. -

On hit, yes. Pure and plain GH cant be combo into anything, except for the followup (214D). On block, however, the followup MAY stuff and counter hit if the opp tries anything but it's way too risky to even try. GH is win/lose, you may hit and score a combo or get creamed. -

2C chains into 6C, even on block. Standalone 6C is way too unsafe. 6C dash cancel into throw is punishable BIG time, but works as a gimmick after you've conditioned your opponent to block alot. 6C's second hit cancels into jump on block too, and it is pretty useful. -

Glad you asked. If you get blocked, finish your stuff with Deadspike, 2D or Gauntlet Hades. If you hit something and have no idea what to do next, just Hell's Fang. Just dont say NO to any damage/combo opportunity. -

You're new, so it is pretty common to do derpy things like 5D/Inferno Divider everywhere everyime. If you really wanna improve just: -Learn better combos. Simple, just try to do all the pratical stuff@Combo thread, you wont need all of them though. You're better off learning basic stuff, instead of that neat 7k combo lets say. -Also, how to confirm into them. If you score a Fatal Counter, theres a 95% chance that you will just finish it with xx stuff Hell's Fang. That's why you must learn better combos, so you may fish off maximum damage from every opportunity. This comes with time and lots of matches. -Play people that are better than you. Basic, you cant improve at all without this. Fine if you both have same skill. Thats pretty much it. About 22C after ID Bounce, you cant learn the timing from a video. It's just something you have to feel... You will also stop doing unsafe stuff as a "side effect" of everthing I mentioned. Good luck -
I might ask as well. Would it be possible to create acts?

I meant, NOT garbage, sorry. The full demo will probably have Display options. And my pad is one of these, but failed to be recongnized. I can wait though.
