  1. Our Guilty gear community is pretty small, around 12 players. 8 of them main Baiken, the rest varies in Eddie, Bridget, Axl, Pot and HOS players
  2. Sorry, I didnt mean to be disrespectful. Its just that are SO MANY Gdlk JP Players, not to mention the ones who come out of nowhere and just... "own"? at the Arcade. I just cant afford to say everyone is highlevel.Damn, people call the likes of Buppa and Kaqn overrated as soon they watch non-chariot games and see another Ragna/Hazama moping the floor. I believe Satoshi was a Bang player in CS and fared pretty well in SBO...

  10. its not strange, It prorates much more better and with the new wallbound, you wouldnt have a reason to use C ID. On topic, we should list the normals that got a hitbox change since thats not listed.Im 150% sure that 5C and 6A changed ALOT compared to CS, I just couldnt pick opponent directly above me with 5C in CS1.
  11. Ok, let me be the first! Why air instant blocking doesnt beat unblockables anymore like CT? I know It's been around since CS1, but never gave too much though about it, were people really Air IB'ing everthing that was supposed to beat them? Also, do you believe wake-up Break Burst(Gold) is better than Green Bursting in general? Gold is just too good for it because It does what supposedly green was meant to do, get you off pressure and puts you back in the game. Why isnt Hazama doing very well in qualifying for SBO? Just lack of players or the char itself isnt that reliable? Same for Rachel, she's playable again but cant see many in Is game-chariot crew overrated? Cool.
  12. Of course It is amateurish, this is not being made by a bigass company like Capcom, christ, cant even compare... Im liking where this is headed, Morbo guy is pratically Eddie.And yes, the character are supposed to look bad/ugly/terryfing, this is no moe game. The graphics are superb. The story may not be the best but definitevely its something I've never seen before, the premise behind all the fighting is interesting. Music sounds good also.

Well, this is what I do to hitconfirm without panicking or relying on reaction.Look at this blockstring: 2B 5C 2C 6C Where do you expect a hitconfirm, assuming your opponent blocked the initial 2B and tries to block the rest? 6C of course, It hits low and he may block high, expecting a 6B maybe or w/e.What about this one? 6D delay j.D dash 2B 6B 5C 2D You're expecting him to faulter and block wrong, but WHERE!? Which of these has a good chance to hit? What will you do If ANY of those hitconfirm? You need to be prepared. If j.D hits(It is a high atk durr), 98% of the times he will be crouching(the 2% may be a Counter Hit) then, you summon your best damaging combo for crouching opponents.Same deal for the 6B If 2B hits, same thing, "load" your best combo that starts with 2B. If 2D hits, RC since you cant followup without Rapid and land on your best combo. Same deal with the rest, like Gauntlet Hades and Deadspike, be ready to combo anytime anywhere.And like I said, that comes with practice and will eventually become second nature. Dont forget to check the combo thread, It is sorted by situation, perfect for developing your "arsenal" I hope that helped. Cool.
  14. Was it laggy? You did well overall, but did some REALLY unsafe stuff that wasnt punished, like that close range Deadspike on wake-up followed by 6B.Maybe Quallz likes to block or wasnt confortamble with the character, but that was a hugeass gap for punishment. Tighten your strings a little more, condition your opponent to block is the best thing Ragna can do, thats the key to his mixups. Your combos didnt get past 2.3k, practice confirms from Overheads, you missed so many good combos opportunities, and close range 5B, at same time acquire the habit to dash after hitting with a jumping mode, this will avoid dial-a-hellsfang combo and give you better a chance to win. Learn also some combos that use heat, trust me, spending heat for combos is not bad.As I said before, develop an arsenal of combos for each situation, Crouching oponents, overhead, corner, anti air, that uses heat for nice damage, 5A/2A mashing confirms,throws etc. This will avoid stances where you hitconfirm something and goes "derp", not hitting the rest of the combos, but remember, when in doubt, HELL'S FANG, always. The ideal would be to combo on the fly, not using a memorized combo, but that comes with time, for now, these are my suggestions. Cool.

Since you're new at the game, at least seems, I wont go deep talking about the best starters,proration, proper finisher etc. First thing you need to have in mind, If you want to combo of any given situation. Do NOT learn combos by "itself" Very common mistake by beginners. Lets say you mastered a basic, high damage BnB in training mode. So you think, "alright, time to rock on online with this 3k+ BnB". You're in a match and try to land it, by inputting your hardcore combo, however it doesnt connect, not because you suck but because something wasnt considered.Distance or something else. Believe me, I see it ALOT, people trying to reproduce combos like that recorded dummy in training mode. You need to condition yourself to hitconfirm something that is possible in a given situation.Thats only comes with time, dexterity and experience. For the time being, the best you can do for yourself to acquire that faster is to develop an arsenal of combos. You need combos for the most common and practical(maybe non-pratical) situations, like: Anti Air: oh, If he jumps at me I'll just 6A (HJC) j.C j.D (JC) j.C j.D 623D 236C 214D. Corner:Ok, my 5B HIT! Hellsfang finisher isnt enough for damage though, I'll then do a Inferno Divider bouncer combo for better damage This will avoid instances where you just ABC special whenever hits, ignoring the opponent status, like Countered, Crouching wasting a better combo possibility, and whiteouts like "oh shit Fatal! uuuuh...what now?". Develop a combo for: Crouching oponents, overhead, corner, anti air, that uses heat for nice damage, 5A/2A mashing confirms,throws etc Yeah, 1 combo for each, besides the classic ABC Special combos. When you think you're good enough, try to develop better and alternate versions of each. Answering your question, a good combo is the one who does more damage and oki in any given situation. Im very conservative, I like to save my heat for counter assaults and rapid cancel my reversal ID for example. Dont be shy to spend some heat for combos though, especially when It can decide the match. Dont forget to check the combos thread also, Ragna's is organized in said manner. Later

Game's looking pretty cool imo, awesome graphics etc. The actual story isnt about a tournament, so I think its kinda great. Well, need to wait for more stuff to judge, like screenies and videos.cant wait for the trailer
