With loketests it usually never is especially with ASW, she could be completely different again in the final game. A lot of people forgot these events are TESTS. As far as her changes ago I'm not too fond of the nerf on Tsurugi-Hold either ... hopefully it's not reflective on the final build but it was a bit of a weird nerf especially since it's one of the "fun" aspects I loved about playing Labrys.

Dengeki FIGHTING CLIMAX: Announced at TGS.
Setsuna replied to InWithTheAshes's topic in Misc Fighter Central
If they can make regular school girls like Tamaki and Konomi playable in Aquapazza than anything is possible here too IMO We barely saw Emi really fight, I'm sure there can be some way to make them unique in their own way not to mention they're supposed to have an assist character as well to separate one from the other. -
Dengeki FIGHTING CLIMAX: Announced at TGS.
Setsuna replied to InWithTheAshes's topic in Misc Fighter Central
I'll kill you both and make sure you get your waifus NTR'd from you... Also a complete list of Dengeki Bunko series, so many possibilities ... I have high hopes for this game -
I voted for Singles for Both. I think Teams would be more fun but I'm also putting into consideration on the possibility of actually finding a team, some people may have last minute changes and either not go or go to the tournament so there will be teams missing players who may have been a key person to their team or someone who found out last minute they can come and have to scavenge for a team with a spot open. IIRC you can have the same character multiple times but characters are locked.

Double Post I know but first I'd like to go ahead and apologize for the poorly run Side Tournaments. Originally is was supposed to be done in the BYOC section however upon arriving nearly every setup was being "reserved" by some Capcom head doing a MvC2 Tournament and the remaining few for CvS2, you can only imagine my rage to see ALL of them taken but whatever I wasn't about to debate and theres no way I was going to run it with very little setups available to us if they were to spare one or two so it was moved to the Persona Pools area (sorry to everyone who went to that area to play Persona, we sort of removed Persona for the side tournaments). Unless you were following me on Twitter times got delayed and you probably didn't know about it, Tournament got pushed to 3pm (which everyone knew about) however didn't happen until around 4pm or 4:30pm because one of the players was stuck in traffic so we waited. Special Thanks to TheGreatReptar for being the only one who brought their laptop to help with the brackets for both tournaments, it was greatly appreciated as well as two Personal friends who helped run the tournament which I played matches and ran around finding people and left the area. Gear didn't happen until probably 7pm and I was basically scavenging for setups although I'm happy Gear was done later as it gave more time for more entrants and thanks to the help of Senkei and HolyOrderTroll it was run a bit smoother since I didn't exactly know everyones name and where everyone was. In anycase, no more running anymore side tournaments for me LOL Here are your results: Blazblue with 26 entrants. DemonWindBomb was basically dominate the entire tournament being the only one who really continued to play the game while everyone played Persona. Side Note Nobodyexe is in the tournament but under a special name, can you guess which one it is lol 1st: DemonWindBomb (Noel) - $91 2nd: TectalEastside (Mu-12) - $26 3rd: Ivysaur (Carl) - $13 4th: PillowInfused (Tager) 5th: Juggernaut (Ragna) 5th: Romeyurhomey (Litchi) 7th: Setsuna (Noel) 7th: Eshi (Makoto) 9th: AXIS 9th: GHolder 9th: TheGreatReptar 9th: MasterStef 13th: RomRPG 13th: Rayjizle 13th: Locate 13th: Saykin 17th: Dollar 17th: Paladin 17th: Suron13 17th: Shadowlink 17th: Aya 17th: Timez 17th: JacopeX 17th: Danny 25th: BlubbaPinecone 25th: Prof Guilty Gear results. If theyre like me they might not feel comfortable giving advice in a matchup thats difficult for them, even now I haven't fought alot of Aigis players only the same one at local events every other month and a few at FR and thats it so I wouldn't feel right trying to give people advice with such low exp. It boils down to can you block Aigis's Origia mixups (constant high/lows) in a nutshell.

Blazblue:Continuum Shift Extend and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Side Tournament When: Friday June 28th Sign-ups: 12pm - Tournament Start BBCSX: 2pm GGXXACP: 5pm Entry Fee: $5 each System: PS3 Stream: TBA (If a stream were to happen it would have to be off of a 4G network from an independent user, follow my twitter to be updated if one comes up) Spread the Word ! Retweet so that anyone attending #CEO2013 can be informed about information in regards to the side tournaments ! Prize Split: [*]1st: 70% [*]2nd: 20% [*]3rd: 10% Tournament Rounds 2/3 rounds, 2/3 games (Winners/Losers/Grand Finals will be 3/5 games) Entering/Registration: If you're coming strictly for Blazblue or Guilty Gear you do not require an Event Badge to enter, you can enter with a $20 Specatator Badge as well. The tournament will be held in the BYOC area of the venue (this will be detailed once a final map of the venue has been drawn). The tournaments will be run by myself (@Tsuntenshi) and @Romeyurhomey, if you have any questions feel free to ping me. On friday we'll be around the BYOC area with Blazblue/Guilty Gear or the Persona setups, we'll officially be taking sign ups at 12pm. If you want to "prereg" here with your Name/Tag/Area go ahead and we'll put you down as an "expected player", if you're running late to the event on Friday or feel like you cannot make it feel free to text myself or a friend of yours to let us know (PM me here or DM on Twitter for contact number) Setups Because we're doing this in the BYOC area we will definately need setups, if you have a setup please bring it even for just this day this will help the tournaments run much faster and smoother. Why is the tournament on Friday and not on Saturday or Sunday ? @CEOJebailey would prefer to have all side tournaments done on friday between 12pm-7pm. If for whatever reason we do not finish on Friday he said we can finish it throughout the weekend. Hopefully with enough setups and people listening out for their matches and not off idling around we can finish both tournaments in 2-3 hours tops. If you have any other questions and would like to see other information addressed please let me know here or tweet me @Tsuntenshi about it ~ -

If theres any interest in a BB or GG Side Tournament speak your interest here and we'll see about setting one up Friday afternoon for both games. The tournament will have to start sometime at/after noon and must end by 7pm that day. Tournaments will be $5 and you can enter with a Spectators Badge. -
Thank you for all the feedback guys: As most of you have mentioned my combos are really lacking and was something I was going to work on, luckily Tect posted his Optimal Combo thread so once I have time I'm going to be going over all of those for future use. I am pretty telegraph and ALOT of people have told me this when I asked for feedback and in all honesty I just don't know what to do so I do what I'm used to and force my way in. Alot of you mentioned me getting CH alot and pushing buttons, as I mentioned I have very low Aigis experience (probably the less amount of experience against her along with Yukiko and Naoto). I didn't know when I could poke out or if I could poke out so I just tried when I thought I could and got blown up. My defense is pretty bad, DC was commenting on it as well on stream but Origia mixups blow me up even at just the initial starter. I don't know how I should go about practicing my defense against the mix up and on alot of occasions it feels like my arms aren't reacting along with what my eyes see. In my match before this I fought a Kanji and did DP into C Moujuu alot during the match when they would react to my DP with their own, it was probably still in my system. You probably saw it alot because I thought he would react to the DP with his own and I tried to counter is right after with Moujuu. Also my mind completely forgot about Gears at the time, alot of the time nowadays I find myself getting blown up using it lol @9:10 That was a misinput actually I had intended to do the combo you have listed out lol @6:24 See Surfs reply @1:37 I had no idea we can punish that safely, thanks for the heads up. I do need to play more I've just been doing other things lately taking a break from FGs and trying to situation myself irl. In the coming weeks I should be playing alot more.

Definitely not my best play considering I haven't played since FR16 but I'm always having trouble with the Aigis match up regardless (my opponent is pretty much the only Aigis experience I ever get), aside my difficulty to deal with Origia mixups does anyone have any input on this match ?
-
The thing about the Chie MU from my experience against ZomB and Ivysaur at FR16 (and some Chie play online) is that while Labrys can zone people out if Labrys were to whiff almost anything trying to zone Chie can rush in punish you. Theres always the possibility of it just being improper spacing on my part but the fact remains that Chie can get in despite Labrys ranged normals and once shes in the only solution to my knowledge is to IB grab/roll as Tectal mentioned but even then those can be read and punished as well. Those probably need to be updated regardless alot of the information in there is from way earlier when the game was released. I myself am lacking in MU experience against those characters, I can give input on what to look out for and theories to deal with it but nothing from personal experience. After losing to Liz horribly during the early months I can probably go indepth about her. You have me on Skype so just update me there when you post your information so i can update it to the main post, I've been juggling alot of things lately and been neglecting the subforum

First time doing a "Shoutouts" post in a long time (probably since CEO last year). For those who somehow didn't know who I was I was the guy with a Kirino shirt on Friday, Pink polo on Saturday and I carried my Oreimo stick with my Kirino messenger bag . May the shoutouts begin Kousaka Kirino <3 for being my waifu, nothing will ever change that ZomB for picking me and my buddy Zenosuke up as well as dropping us off back at the bus stop, it was great to finally meet you ~ I can't wait for TNS which you apparently seem to be attending Reptar for hooking us up with FAKKU stickers and running Blazblue brackets. We'll see about chilling more during the summer when you move back to being 40 minutes away from me. Tecta1Eastside for coming out to your first offline tournament (or event in general). Sucks you had pad problems during Persona you wouldve made it so much further otherwise. Major congrats on taking everyone by surprise during Blazblue. ShinSyn for hosting casuals in his room and being an awesome guy in general, I wish I had the chance to say goodbye before I left but I couldn't find you Nobodyexe for being the funniest guy all weekend, I was dying watching you play with a horse head on the entire time. Jyosua for making it out from California and streaming BB/GG off your 4G from your phone (godlike). Sucks we didn't get more games in, hopefully next time we can (At CEO ?) Generic from doing especially well coming from EU(?), definitely a strong player and I thoroughly enjoyed my matches with you. Eshi for posting the thread on improved Labrys Oki and showing it to me Friday when you played Lab in casuals, it definitely helped me alot this weekend. AXIS for bullying me offline as much as he did online and being an awesome funny guy regardless, it was nice to finally meet you and your trademark voice. Guardian for spreading the ICE MOUNTAIN love this weekend Ludwig Van it wa snice to finally meet you as well, you should play Naoto more LastStar for coming with me to get breakfast before my 10am pool, it was nice to finally meet you after playing with you online and talking with you in a chat I never check lol LordKnight for winning BB/P4A/MB and having a few matches with me, I wish I could have gotten more matches in with you I had no idea you were leaving early Sunday morning. Amadeous for being a fellow waifu bro and apparently being shadow me with our waifus. Bluelink for making out from Brazil again, I hope we get to see you again during CEO. DemonWindBomb, its been so long since I've seen you it was nice to finally see you again. Maybe I'll see you at CEO for the BB side tournament ? LKG shut up Thanks for being a good guy and drinking ? Chosen Ninja for having a nasty Yukiko, I wanted to get more games in but they kicked us out of the anime room as we started to play that Saturday Night Psykotik for coming down from Canada for this, good games in Top 16 I'll level up for our next match ~ Everyone for loving my kawaii waifu fightstick I missed alot but I'm tired and can't think of anyone else whom I don't already see all the time such as DC, Romey and Dawn (thank you btw for the support during my Top 16 match ~). The highlight of the weekend for me (aside from meeting everyone) was getting interviewed from Zhi(? They had a madcatz microphone) as the moe representative in the Persona room (whether it be a joke interview or not lol), getting Top 16 and apparently a stream blowup I got when my stick showed up on stream. Sucks going from a weekend like that back to work and such. The next major I'll be at is CEO, I hope alot of you can make it out ~ *Continues to catch up on weekend anime*

Switching characters before its too late Labrys is a fundamental character and is rewarded for keeping up your momentum via Red Axe. You want to be able to space out your opponent with her long normals such as 5A, 5B, 2B and of course j.B the best thing she has but just because she has these normals doesn't mean she gets in for free, shes a bit slower than the rest of the case and without reliable reversal options you'll have to depend on your own ability to block and make correct decisions especially against stuff like Yus 5D Oki and TOMOEEEEE. Game plan, GET RED AXE and make your opponent fear a touch of death.
-
Combo Section is blank because Tari had plans for an "advanced" combo thread and it was going to have a mix of both, before that could ever happened Persona entered the "RIP" status. Plus the videos he supplied kind of gave you most of the combos you needed to ever know. "Combo Theory" or combos to build up the Axe Gauge can be incorporated into the actual combos. I'm iffy about the "Meter Management" section, factors such as your current axe level, meter, position and such come into play. If you want to detail out an example for me I'll consider it.

I already registered, any chance we can get a BB and GG side tournament going as well ? -
Why not just do it at an event more people will be at ?
-
Yeah even if it came out in like June in time for CEO unless theres a US release along with it it won't be making it into any US Majors.
-
We havent even gotten a console trailer yet :x If its like CS though we'll probably get it in the summer probably alittle before or after EVO
-
Theo come to the Daytona tournament in March, if theres enough interest we can get BB added to the tournament
