  1. wait is his driv only blockable via catching projectiles? or is it press A and hold back? otherwie it seems a bit inconsequential to me. you hit the drive, e get a star we are invincible the whole way through. only difference is if o want to risk hitting more buttons, someones going to make the right choice either way its going to hurt badly.
  2. Honestly i like what im seeing, and again honestly i really DONT want to see another IaMP, it was good but i think it is being a bit over credited. Iamp was solid but it bored me because of it, SWR wasnt close but it was more fun in terms of combos and just when you think you have someones moveset down they hit you with a move switch. the decks gave a huge diversity to a sinlge character let alone all of them. so something new coming to the table is very welcomed in my book.
  3. forcing an opponent to while shutting down most of the options in the attempt to build yourself meter, get them to make a mistake and capatalize off said mistake, or just general keep them blocking, shut them down.
  4. i can give you few reasons: because its not CoD, full screen super the game, capcom, assassins assrape aliens the game. because it is: anime fighter, long combos, japan "weaboo" game, anime, anime. because other: general public. what did you expect?
  5. cuz they be hoggin. it looks like hildas a "rea" zoner in a sense. long range moves, combos and block strings that are long range, mid and short range pokes tha lead to combos. also from the looks of it, she has some weird lantern looking thing that ma b used as oki. but idk it may just beme but something feels...off? about her. ill wait till someone gets good with her to make a judgement call.

  8. told ya bro. he may not be shiny shiny as the rest of the cast but he doesnt need it. my initial character break down had him in that "needs a skilled player to shine" regard.
  9. yo that Vatista player, Doru, dude knows how to handle people. annoy the shit out of the with projectiles and let them kill themselves, idk what it is about zoners but they make people press buttons. usually the wrong ones.

Idk man wald looks pretty decent for a grappler, we are speaking of a grappler that doesnt actually have to rely on his command grabs for damage, nor does it seem he has to rely on crazy ass gimmicks 24/7 to land damage. hes got really good range, decent damaging combos and a powerful command grab or two to really mess with ppl. Gordeau to me never seemed to be really a pressure character, hes got decent mixup nothing spectacular but at the same time dudes got some powerful tools that sit right with him and his play style, very long range normals, haku-esque no mash short normals, links, a command grab that steals grind, and alot of offensive range. defensive wise i think he can only special command grab to unvul his way out or barrier or just block. Merkava reminds me of melty bloods NVQRetc odd projectiles, long reach, good damage and just an odd entity within itself. his mixup is decent it more relies on the players ability to really trip up the opponent with something akward off of worm oki, instead of the typical high/low fiasco we are used to. hes too slow for that so creativity plays a key role. hes a danager upclose and far away. it suits an oddball like him. Hydes your typical ryu, plays like any other just with a few more tools but in the end i see him being played like any other MC-esque cliche, ragna, sol, Yu etc. hes got the spacing game going on. buzz in pressure, buzz out to space. the projectile and the option to detonate it is a nice tool. Linne is so far the most solid of them besides gor from what im seeing, fast, decent to great damage, projectiles,resets, crossups, lots of hits, (dem thighhigh pallets), and just pure speed in general. she may in fact be the most solid character besides the next one im about to mention. yuzu...trust me when i say this, shes going to be a very annoying character, VERY VERY annoying. shes got speed, near full screen (safe) attacks that lead into decent to moderately high damage, seemingly very safe mixup as ive seen very few attempts to retaliate while shes pressuring, very. fast. teleports that can be used repeatedly in succession to one another, ground to ground, air to air and an air to ground. ground and air mist finer slashes that can lead to teleport combos, and just outright almost ridiculously safe play style in general. she may be a big threat in the hands of a patient player who doesnt take too many risks. Orie seems like or well somewhat resembles mitsuru im unsure if shes a charge character or not, the doll-esque combos, doll oki, decent somewhat long pokes, instant overheads and an overhead that can crossup mid screen makes her a moderate threat imho. nothing really stands out with her but nothing really makes her weak either, shes moderate and in the right hand may shine. Vatista from wat ive seen so far, no ones really got her style down just yet, im seeing way too many variances and barely and constants between them, some use moves ive never seen others use, some pressure differently, some try to zone and go in, she seems like a decent zoner into a low pressure character but i cant make a judgement until i start seeing more constant connections between all the vatista players. Seth, high pressure till he can break you type character, high speed, good projectiles that still detonate even if hes forced to block thus breaking the oppressors rythm, decent damage, very very good movement and decent crossup abilities, but at the same time he seems lacking somewhere...idk, imho hes the one that deserved the teleports. otherwise hes good. Carmine is a somewhat bad character, decent damage, good very good projectiles and space control into pressure but he seems a bit slow with no real way to break the enemy, his specials draining hp doesnt help his case, grabs draining restoring hp wont be a common thing honestly, overall beginning to mid match hes weak due to fear, after his hp hits critical the game plan changes and he can become an outright threat almost immediately. the level of projectile spam will increase dramatically making it very hard to get in, the level of give-no-shit will also increase to an extreme (player dependant) and you will start to see the most absurd and suicidal attempts at breaking the opponent. so hes low to mid in the beginning and moderately to decently high threat later on (unless hes winning with a hp lead) then he remains decent threat.

  13. once carmines hp drops to 1 hes free to go fuck all on everybody. lovin that linne player holy shit 9k combos and dem sexy thigh highs. that gordeau needs some work though he was pretty good, hopefully he/she gets to Rios level. and fuck hydes winning, what...what is...is all this gay im seeing.
  14. so hats the benefit exactly? combo extension? extra added damage? or doingit just for the meter?
  15. if im guessing correctly veil off acts as either a burst mechanic or melty bloods magic circuit overload type mechanic or blood heat. if its the latter 2 this means that they have an unlimited amount of meter for a small period of time, granted each time a meter special is used it decreases the guage faster, also activating it acts as a burst. if it is played like blood heat anyway. also i THINK it gives auto hp regen like melty bloods blood heat as well.
  16. she can do it by itself watch the video after 6 minutes. to be more specific go to 7:48 for enough time to see her super land and her warping to the other side of gor after knocking him down.
  17. she has something similar to that, she has a ground teleport that goes from one side to the other side of the oponent.
  18. nah i was comparing their safety into doing whatever they felt like, she may not be bangs mirror image (thank the almighty) but she certainly has what he once did the ability to be safe and do what they wanted most of the time. from what im seeing the good yuzus and the one in the video are showing me once you are at a certain level with yuzu the only way to get hit is if you take an unnecessary risk or just arent paying attention.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqqVTfZmebs&feature=g-u-u start the match at 6 minutes. also from what i think i saw she may have more than just horizontal teleports. either her staying in the air is really short or she can warp from air to ground. this was earlier in the Gor vs yuzu im refering to. also yeah the guy playing as yuzu shows how potentialy safe and retarded the character can get, from a distance and still gain decent damage. it may only be 3k+ from full screen into a combo but remember shes hitting you from full screen with a nigh unpunishable mist finer, even if you tried she can teleport up to 3 times to escape. literally missed an air mist finer teleported 3 times and missed another mist finer before touching the ground on top of dodging an "anti air" and still escaped after landing. her potential to be a very dangerous character coupled with low to no risk vs decent to moerately high reward is what i was referring to in my earlier statemets.
  20. not always about damage yo. think of cs1 bang for example. 3k off everything where everyone else out damaged him yet he was pretty good, almost a little too good. he had answers for every situation and got decent damage of any random hit. not litchi level but from how fast, safe, and just his tools in general he can cause serious problems in the right hands. which he did and still does. same with yuzu her damage ouput might not be as good as everyone elses but how she lands her blows is what makes her good, and she does so almost too easily and safely. coupling with everything else. the long reach, good long reach into combo, her close game is pretty damn good from what im seeing still after all this time it seems she can still do a good string into multiple over heads, teleports, air teleports, i even saw some teleport 3 times in the air from left to right dodging gordeaus anti air looking attack, air slashes etc. If her damage was higher she'd be absurd. not saying shes op or haxed but she doesnt need her damage to be equal to everyone elses with the tools she has at her disposal. shes like cs1 bang she doesnt need high damage to win.
  21. the only thing i im realy not liking too much is yuzuhara. seeing as i play a chracter with really good reach and damage her speed and air options just seem...a little absurd. coupled with her reach and damage level. that last vid she did a good 5k off a half screenish special, along with her awesome speed , near instant overheads, cross ups, she seems a little too strong. but thats just me. also Gordaeu omfg the badassery is too much. i will enjoy playin as him.
  22. wonder if it will play like scarlet weather rhapsody or immaterial and missing power. either way a definite buy to support them.
