I would too Chris.

Unless it comes with Tsubaki's hat, I'll stick to a regular copy of the game...or a Japanese one.
-
It'll probably be pretty even if I pick Bang.
-
I talked with other Andrew a bit last night. He's probably going to show up this Friday and bring a setup, and I might bring mine as well, so there will definitely be Blazgreen on Friday.

[CP1.1] Tsubaki Yayoi General - Gameplay Discussion

You can also confirm 22D into dash 3CC midscreen, then RC that. I think you have to be right up in their face when you do 22D though. -
So, who all's going to be at Tech next Friday night? I was thinking since BBCSEX comes out Saturday, and winter break is coming up, that we could have a Blazblue tournament. Let me know what you guys think by like Tuesday perhaps.

Vergil is the derp easy. I've been playing Vergil/Strange/Wesker. Derp, derp, and super derp.
-
Methinks I'll be importing BBCSEX now. My mom's been asking me what I want for Christmas for the past few weeks, so I'll probably walk her through how to order it off Play-asia this weekend =P

I think I'm going to be asking for BBCS:EX for Christmas, so I'll have it by the end of the year probably. -
Ugh, you and Ivysaur were playing yesterday? D: You guys should call me next time, and by next time, I mean whenever this happens next semester. I've gotten back to that point where I want to improve and study the game and junk again. Got to do way better at FR than I've done in the past 2 years, which is going to be especially hard to do with Tsubaki if FR uses BBCSEX this year.
-
Ugh..probably won't be able to make that. I'm getting picked up from Atlanta that day, so I probably won't be home until like 6pm. Should have said December 18th =[
-
My state's thread is dead. What's up in Florida from December 17th-January 7th? Especially really north-east Florida.

If you can drive to a store to buy something, then you can get internet monies. You can get prepaid Visa giftcards almost anywhere now. I mean, Walmart sells them now. Back in my day to get internet monies you had to walk a few miles to get to the bank to get a Visa giftcard. Now you just have to ask you parents to go to Walmart and grab some internet money off the giftcard rack.

I don't see how Mori could have thought it was a good idea to center Tsubaki's damage around Mugen. It's like trying to center Ragna's game around landing Blood Kain combos. People are just going to burst out of things to avoid the damage, and they're incredibly easy to burst out of safely since almost all of Tsubaki's install combos that I've seen involve doing 623D. You have to somehow force the opponent to use their bursts before even thinking about doing Mugen combos, since you'll just lose all your charges and 50 meter for trying. They should really make combos during Mugen unburstable or something =\ I still wouldn't say that Tsubaki is back to CS1 status, but she's seems roughly as bad as CS1 Noel. She only gets damage either off of hard to confirm counter hits like 5C and 3C (although 3C doesn't seem hard to confirm) or when she has a bunch of meter and charges laying around. Even then, her damage just seems on par with the rest of the cast. -
I played Ivysaur yesterday online in UMvC3 too. It's like a disease going around or something.

I finally got to play the game a bit this weekend. My theory-fighting team of Zero/Strange/Vergil seems to hold up decently enough for now. Strange is super fun. I need to learn real combos with everyone though D: Learning the game at a tournament where losing gets you kicked off a casual station is really interesting. I feel like I was learning things faster than usual. I even started getting the hang of doing launcher>MMH>delayed Impact Palm>land>relaunch, and it was after not touching MvC3 since like April or something. The game still feels really weird to me though. Mostly just comboing after a launcher just feels like I'm playing on ice or something. Very small differences in your jump timing or timing of your launcher after a sweep seem to force the timing of the rest of a combo to change dramatically. It's strange. Probably still going to go buy it when I get home this week for Thanksgiving though. So many cool characters D:

Just do 6HS if you predict a backdash. Since everyone's airborn during backdashes, 6HS will wallbounce them. You can repeat it a few times too. I forget how to end it properly for a knockdown though.
-
Um, what demo disc are you talking about? I only recall there being a demo disc thing for BBCT, and if that's the case, the first combo works in BBCS1, but not in BBCS2. If that's the case, you should probably update Blazblue so it's BBCS2 instead of 1. 2's an infinitely better game.
-
Just a small note: if you can read just Katakana, then all of the pause menus are pretty easy to navigate, save the character specific portion of the training mode menu.
-
That's actually not an emulator. It's a program that let's you display your PSP on your computers (and control it with PC peripherals. You can play PSP games with stick with that program iirc).

Also, there's going to be a blindfolded Arcana Heart 3 money match going down. Shit's going to be hype. -
[CS1-CSE] Tsubaki Self-Improvement and Critique Thread

Before you get into DP whiffs and IADs, you should really work on learning more optimized, simple execution combos. Like 3 times you got a 5BB>5CC>22C near the corner, then just did nothing afterwards when you could easily do 6C>236B>214B>22B and get the same hard knockdown off of of with like 500 more damage and a mess load more meter. Your defence really needs a lot of work, and I don't mean just reacting to highs and Bang's crossup kick. Whenever you were on defence you were extraordinarily complacent. You hardly even barrier blocked. If you flip through the video quickly, the first time your barrier gauge dropped at all was at like the 6 minute mark, and that was only after he was basically trolling the shit out of you with 5A>dash x N. You're letting Zeth just run over you and he knew it. It happens again at 11:40ish, only that time you don't even barrier to get him off you, then he's got you so trained, that you just sit there and eat a command throw. Then at 7:40ish you use a tiny bit of barrier again, but it's really obvious that that was just 3 OS throw attempts. After the third one, I'm really surprised he didn't just run up and TRM you. It's good that you're using that, but tapping 1+ABC to where you barrier flashes just briefly makes it really easy to see what you're doing, and again, with as complacent as you were, if Zeth had noticed, he could have just dash>TRMed you. And this might go against what people will normally tell you, but throw a few more shoryus in there, or try to jump out of stuff. Tell your opponent that you won't let them run over you like that and make them keep their pressure safer and make them hesitate. Sure, they might block a shoryu and you'll get punished or you'll get antiaired which trying to jump out or something, but just sitting there isn't doing you much good either. You never even try to look for openings or try to create one to get out. You sat there, which in almost every case ended up with you eating something. Also, at 10:00 when you do confirm>236D>throw reset attempt, you should do dash up 5A or something, then do your mixup. 5A with put them in regular hitstun again instead of untechable time so they won't have the option of not teching. Then they'll be forced to either deal with the mixup or mash out a reversal. You could even dash up 5BB>2BB then do a throw after 2BB recovers I believe, which was working a lot for you. One other thing I noticed is you were doing herp derp block strings in earlier matches like 5BB>2BB>5CC>6B all the time and Zeth would just barrier until things whiffed. You did however adjust to that in later matches and started doing shorter strings with more jabs and ending in 5B or doing 5C and charge canceling it (which is actually minus on block however, so I wouldn't do that often. Probably only use it if you're staggering 5C to 5CC a lot in case the opponent tries to mash out of the frame trap). You did however get around the problem that your blockstrings were getting blown up by barriering, so at least you learned that through the matches. -
I'm really enjoying Vampire Savior on the GGPOs. This game is so much fun =D Everyone should play it with me this Friday.

Relius's dodge move is starting to look really dumb, since he can do it while Ignis attacks simultaneously.

I can bring mine. I just realized that even though my tv has dead speakers, it has a headphones jack, and I have speakers that'll fit. I tried it out for a minute before heading to class this morning. Poverty Station 2.0 is up and operational.
