Why doesn't CSE Tsubaki look good too Why is she the only character that seems shitty again? :8/:
-
Akira got into SBO this year I thought. The only American player we sent this year was a Ragna.
-
Just terribly mediocre, which isn't quite as bad with damage getting nerfed for pretty much everyone.
-
From what little of Platinum I've seen so far, she doesn't really seem bad, she's just has the same problem she had in CS2. She's horribly situational because her mixup, pressure, and reversal ability all depend on her items that are herp derp random. Also, they nerfed her combo rating I believe, so she does less damage than before, but it doesn't effect her as much as say Litchi's combo rating nerf hurts her since Platinum's high damage combos came from doing as many 22Cs in a combo as possible since it does 400 damage guaranteed, and that hasn't changed. And no more 2CxN basketball combos for Platinum =[ They gave it same-move proration.

Tsubaki can OS a lot of her specials since she can cancel any of her specials into D specials on block or even whiff. For instance, if you try to use 214D, you can then do 22C~D (basically plink C, then D). If 214D is blocked, 22D will come out, making it safe. If it hits, you'll do 22C which recovers in time for you to followup on 214D. Similarly you can use it with her DPs to make it harder to punish her for DPing by doing A/D DP>236A~D>214A~D. If the DP gets blocked, D versions come out and you do 236D>214D through her projectile making you really plus on block. If the DP landed, then you just do 236A>214A and knock the opponent away. Those are really the only two useful applications of OSing her cancelable specials I can come up with though.

Relius looks super gross to me. Ridiculous pressure, unblockables, and damage that doesn't seem to heavily depend on having the corner? Sign me up. Also, j.C instant overheads that he can probably pick up off of with Ignis. Litchi actually doesn't look terrible anymore though. Apparently she gets 120% bonus proration off of 6D now (lol), and the first hit of 6C[e] can hit crouching now (so you can do confirm>6C(1)>chun>j.BC>hatsu>chun or something similar). Then she has her new 2B[m]>6C[m] gatling so I can get something off all those fullscreen counterhits I tend to score on bad Tagers. It just kind of sucks that Litchi's staffed overheads are going to be garbage.
-
Zoning Relius, heavy rushdown Relius, really fast Relius, grappler Relius, and ordinary guy Relius all confirmed already. I'm pretty much dead set on not torturing myself by trying to play Tsubaki in CS:EX. I was actually thinking Makoto, since her pressure game is similarish, or maybe Jin, since he also has EX moves and good pressure. Then there's Litchi who seems like she'll be easier execution wise and I have a good sense as to how to play her, or Relius. Why do you torture me by making Tsubaki shitty again Arcsys...
-
I am prepared to have my parents give Aksys more of their money. Look on the bright side though everyone, we get 4 new story scenarios AND CT's wonderful A+++ super awesome story on a single disc. You can literally spend forever just playing through story mode, since it's so goddamn good. Rivals that of Chrono Trigger and Persona 4.
-
I might go back to Litchi. Or just play Relius. Tsubaki is looking super ass again D:

Those are the 16 fighters for Marvelous Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

It's like the entire cast has a fat ground hitbox now, rather than just Tager, Rachel, and Valk. -
[CP1.1] Tsubaki Yayoi General - Gameplay Discussion

I remember charge canceling PK. Pretty much the only mixup I would do back in CS1 was 5C>2D>dash up grab =P I just hope that charge canceling pressure is a lot tighter than it was in the other two CS's. I remember seeing people using charge canceling when CS2 first came out, but no one was using it after a while because of all the wholes in it =\ -

Tsubaki's pressure looks stupid with 5C being faster and whatever was in the change notes about charge canceling (I'm assuming charges have less recovery or something?). Now I just wish 6C was faster so it would be easier to confirm CH 5C into 6C. -

Baiken's in this game now? Excellent. -
Kazzmatt just got a PS2 stick finally, and we were actually planning on playing Gear this week.
-
So who all is going to be at AWA, and who's probably going to be hanging out in the fight gaems room for a lot of the weekend?
-
I'm going to be at AWA Zoogstin =[ Also, Zelda 4 Swords comes out tomorrow for 3DS/DSi =O
-
AWA's not even having a BB tournament this year. Got replaced by Gears of War 3, since that's apparently anime now. Not that I'd enter a tournament again. I missed the ending of the Really Lame Anime panel because of the Blazblue one last year D:
-
I am always happy to play Blazblue Elliot. I was yelling at you this past Friday to come over and play some, but then you started playing 3S, then since Kazzmatt and I didn't feel like playing each other still, we put on Arcana... =\
-
I'm not. I don't have money to go to both IC and AWA, so I'm picking AWA.

Oh, in the corner, 6CC>j.C>214D>land>5C(w)C>2CC>IAD>j.CC>land>5B>2CC>22C>5C>2C>236B>214B>22B does more damage than the double IAD. And the meterless fatal combo I posted doesn't like working in the corner. It's possible, but has really strict timing. You can also use 2A instead of 5A, which is probably more advisable, since 2A has better P2 proration. Found a new much better chargeless fatal combo for the corner just now too. 6CC>22C>dash 5C(w)C>2CC>IAD>j.CC>land>5B>2CC>236C>5C>236B>214B>22B. Does 3802 on the PSP version of the game.
-
6C>214D>2CC>IAD>j.CC>land>5C>2CC>IAD>j.CC>land>5B>2CC>236B>214B>22B is the standard fatal combo with charge. As for chargeless, the best I've come up with is 6CC>236C>5A>5B>2CC>IAD>j.CC>5B>2CC>236B>214B>22B.

I'm not entirely sure about using 480i versus 480p, but there isn't an HDTV on the market that doesn't induce lag right now. If you switch over to an SDTV it will be very noticeable if you're used to hitting FRCs regularly.
